Hoping for a repeat of the 2013 final
-
Glad O'connor is in the draw, would have been no debutants for the first time at the Crucible of he hadn't qualified.
-
Robertson only has himself to blame, was bang average in the first session and was anonymous after the interval.
-
Also, it's good to see some of the tables well attended, looks like they are 5 or 6 rows deep. Doesn't feel like that many years ago when it was a row of conference room chairs behind each table for the qualifiers.
-
Enjoying this final qualifying session, can see some of these going to decides. Si Jiahui looked impressive, was 4 nil down and won 10-4.
-
Think most Newcastle fans would acknowledge it's not exactly that linear with that penalty. Would have changed the approach on their respective final group games. Though they haven't been shy to mention two of the four semi finals came from their group to emphasise how difficult their group was.

Update 1. Ipswich P 43 GD 32 Pts 89 2. Leicester P 42 GD 41 Pts 88 2. Leeds P 43 GD 42 Pts 87 4. Saints P 42 GD 30 Pts 84 RUN-IN SEQUENCE (league position of opponent / what they are likely to be playing for) 1) Sat 20th April 12.30 Leicester v West Brom (5th / almost guaranteed play offs) 15:00 Cardiff (11th / nothing) v Saints Mon 22nd 20:00 Boro (9th / possibly nothing, very outside chance of play offs) v Leeds 2) Tues 23rd April 20:00 Leicester v Southampton 3) Fri 26th 20:00 QPR (19th / survival ) v Leeds Sat 27th April 15:00 Saints v Stoke (20th / survival) 20:00 Hull (7th / outside chance of playoffs) v Ipswich Mon 29th 20:00 PNE (10th/ possibly nothing, very outside chance of play offs) v Leicester 4) Tues 30th April 20:00 Coventry (8th / possibly nothing, outside chance of play offs) v Ipswich 5) Sat 4th May 12.30 Ipswich v Huddersfield (22nd / relegation) 12.30 Leeds v Southampton 12.30 Leicester v Blackburn (17th / possibly nothing, almost safe from relegation) In non top 4 fixtures we probably want Norwich to go on honking form to give Cov, Hull and a lesser extent Boro something to play for before they face Ipswich / Leeds. Cov and Hull play each other before they before play Ipswich, it will almost definitely mean one if not both won't have anything to play for ahead of Ipswich. Of course Ipswich and Leeds dropped points against teams with nothing to play for when they drop points recently so who the fvck knows?

Feel this session has been very quick, it will probably be finished by 9.

Team locked in dressing room post Plymouth game

Wishful thinking but something like this hopefully -
For someone constantly in the top 30, Zhou's world champs qualifying record is atrocious

Agreed, its up there Bale trying to patent the heart celebration, though as least Palmer's was in some way original.

Went heart over head and voted Yes

Heard it on the radio and checked it on Flashscore before I posted and looks right if you take the BetMGM odds for Palace and the Ladbrokes odds for the Villa and Fulham wins. Not sure what bookies specifically they were talking about when they mentioned those treble odds but looking at those below it seems plausible.
-
A £1 treble on today's premier league winners would have returned £462
-
As funny as it is to watch Liverpool and potentially Arsenal mess up, it's going to be boring to watch another Man City procession if things keep going this way.
-
I'm all for a good deal but I'd feel immorally wrong doing that to Blackburn, assuming they'd be stupid enough to agree to it.

And just like that the Leeds run in doesn't look too smart. Away to 2 in form teams and at home against probably the best team in the league right now. We obviously still need to something of course.

This season man....
-
I was thinking this a moment ago. I'm be happy but mostly relieved, I don't think I'd have that jubilation I thought I would have if you told me we'll get promoted after a couple of games this season.
-
Trying to look at it optimistically and even then it's a draw v Baggies, somehow beating Southampton which would be so us following by defeat away to Preston and a win in vain against Blackburn. 7 points (and that's optimistic) which won't be enough. Think Ipswich will get at least 8 from their run and Leeds will get at least 9.

Shamelessly taken from an Ipswich forum, not that I'm holding much faith anymore.... 1. Leicester P 42 GD 41 Pts 88 2. Ipswich P 42 GD 32 Pts 88 3. Leeds P 42 GD 43 Pts 87 4. Saints P 40 GD 26 Pts 78 RUN-IN SEQUENCE (league position of opponent) 1) Sat 13th April 12:30 Leeds v Blackburn (18th) 15:00 Ipswich v Boro (9th) 15:00 Saints v Watford (14th) 2) Tues 16th April 20:00 Saints v PNE (8th) 3) Sat 20th April 12.30 Leicester v West Brom (5th) 15:00 Cardiff (11th) v Saints Mon 22nd 20:00 Boro (9th) v Leeds 4) Tues 23rd April 20:00 Leicester v Southampton (4th) 5) Fri 26th 20:00 QPR (16th) v Leeds Sat 27th April 15:00 Saints v Stoke (20th) 20:00 Hull (10th) v Ipswich Mon 29th 20:00 PNE (8th) v Leicester 6) Tues 30th April 20:00 Coventry (7th) v Ipswich 7) Sat 4th May 12.30 Ipswich v Huddersfield (21st) 12.30 Leeds v Southampton (4th) 12.30 Leicester v Blackburn (18th)
