He's read this thread then

We actually have a lot of energetic attackers
-
Has to be Potter doesn't it. Wasn't right in the summer for whatever (actual) reason.
-
Why not two ****ing weeks ago...
-
Think this can be put down to over coaching / confusion. The "why yes, I'm a set piece coach" cringe has helped us at defending set pieces it seems but not attacking - the players denied Ayew's Southampton goal was worked on, for example. They need to keep it simple but then why have an employed set piece coach?
-
It's so weird to use the Coote stuff, it feels so forced and planned. As if he's sat around thinking about how he can use that in his favour when the inevitable loss happens.
-
Is he really blaming the refs after Ndidi didn't get a blatant red?
-
Steve "I watched all Leicester games last season" Cooper can't figure out what Enzo was going to do and think of a way of countering. He is genuinely clueless.
-
Agreed
-
Come on... Who do you want in then Coady, Daka and Reid?
-
Who else would be playing RW if Buonenotte and Fatwatu are out? McAteer is literally the next available considering Ayew isn't fit enough to start.
-
It's not terrible. Vardy fit, Okoli back in. Looks like Ndidi and Vardy to try and break up Chelsea's play in the 3-2 pivot - which is excellent really. We're short on fit wide players so this is the best we could hope for really.
-
This - you have sat too long here for any good you have been doing . Depart, I say, and let us have done with you. In the name of god, go.
-
Pretty obvious what he's saying really... "How to play, how to press, these small things, small details." I agree with you it's overused publicly, though think the managers just want to get all players on the same page. We know from Enzo's system here that all 11 players needed to stick to the script. I can't imagine how much time he actually spent on shape, short passing, and playing out from the back with us. Seen this over the weekend which shows these little details clearer: https://www.reddit.com/r/soccer/s/8Ve3AZ7BX9

If it's Tops decision (which it shouldn't be, but probably is,) then he has definitely not got the balls to sack Cooper so soon while we're 15th. Having some okay point tally probably keeps him here regardless of the eye test and the stats showing how poor we've been offensively and defensively. Statistically and visually we look like a side heading for relegation. If Cooper hasn't got the dressing room then Top would let him go I think. Would still be surprised if we haven't asked a few questions to some available managers though because the rules have changed since avoiding the points deduction.

Manchester United vs Leicester City Post Match Analysis

Any chance of compiling all the 'fouls' that weren't given as fouls, and fouls that were not given a card? Would be good to see them all quickly. -
Steve Cooper probably reads this thread every night then makes notes like "must keep playing Justin as a sort of right winger but not an attacking winger, just sort of out there on his own".
-
Cooper 100% did this at home to Forest as his win-win, get out without being shot by the fans card 'well at least he played Enzo's 3241 with Ricardo!' to appease the 40%, probably less, that actually want that (IF ENZO WAS HERE.) The fact Cooper suddenly just forgot his pre-season and first 8-10 competitive games to revert to a system he doesn't know and certainly can't coach like the man who famously only did that formation, shows something is up behind the scenes with the players or board wanting him to either 1) have more possession, or 2) play like we did when we got promoted. Why would he, a professional football manager with a decade of experience, suddenly go to a system that some of the squad know all of a sudden? that really stinks of an uncreative imitator with one concern - him staying in post as long as he can. He came in and immediately talked us down, general negativity with that little old Leicester vibe.. about us needing to be 'premiership ready', 'establishing ourselves back to the level', 'work hard to get back to the level' - you can sure as shit assume he's been talking to the squad about adjusting to the PL rather than doing what he should have done capitalising on his good fortune for getting the job and thrown Brodgers under the bus with a "Yeah the team got promoted, should never have been relegated, this is a team where many of the players finished top half 3 years ago.. where 9 of the current playing squad were playing when we were 8th in 2022 He should be psychologically building in that we should be better than a promoted team from the Championship, I think a LOT of the players think that themselves. It's a general testament to his negative tactics, and self fulfilling prophecy about calling us 17th/18th best, end up 17th/18th best.

What's the pub / parking for this then?
-
It would get hidden mostly apart from the odd calamity. No one is talking about his shit performances for Belgium apart from the one off terrible errors.
-
I'll be fair, and I'm sure others have said it before, Faes genuinely wouldn't look out of place at a top European team, because they don't really have to defend lol. He just isn't great in the box, but always seemed to play the position well in possession. When you're Steve Cooper's Leicester, Faes, Okoli, Justin, Kristy... Throw in Ndidi, Skipp, Winks - they're going to look shit because we're having 20+ shots against us every game. Only Mads comes out unscathed as he can actually do something.

Notts Forest (H) 25th Oct - 8pm. Match Thread

I'll be nice... But .. reckon he's only done this Vs Forest as a 'just in case', play the team the fans want is a win win Vs Forest. -
This really pissed me off last night. Fatawu proved in the championship he was one of the most creative players in that division with a powerful and often accurate left foot. Cooper apparently watched all our games but clearly not, he can't of. In the same logic why are we starting Mads, Okoli, Mavididi, and Al Khannouss as you say. The reality is (backed up by the fact Cooper has often played Fatawu on his far weaker side on the left,) Cooper doesn't like that Fatawu exposes Coopers preferred tactical shape to fit him in on the right.
