  1. I know we haven't been at our best all season but I fully trust the process, 5 days of rest and recuperation in La Manga and when they get back it's 100% focus on staying up with no distractions
  2. A lot of Voulez-Vous fits really nicely with where we are atm; (sub voulez-vous for Maresca) Some other bits need changing but it ain’t bad! “And here we go again, we know the start, we know the end Masters of the scene We've done it all before and now we're back to get some more You know what I mean Maresca (aha) Take it now or leave it (aha) Now is all we get (aha) Nothing promised, no regrets (aha) Maresca (aha) Ain't no big decision (aha) You know what to do (aha) La question c'est Maresca”
  3. Same points gap between 23rd and 5th as there is between 5th and 1st 1.) Leicester 27 5.) West Brom 16 23.) Rotherham 5 Seems mental that
  4. I've done a bit of digging, apparently it won't work on the Sky Go app however if you download the Sky Sports app and use your normal Sky log in then you can watch it on there
  5. I'm missing the game as I've got to travel to Heathrow this evening, does anybody know if I'll be able to watch this on Sky Go? Not sure how that works if it's not the featured match... If not I'll have to reluctantly buy a match pass that may or may not work
  6. We could* potentially be on 30 points after Stoke on Saturday having played 11 games, here's the amount of games it took the 3rd team to cross the 30 points threshold in the last 10 seasons; 17, 16, 16, 16, 17, 15,17, 15,17, 14 (Average: 16) So if* we do hit 30 on Saturday, then on average we've got a 5 game margin for error after only 11 played (Over 20 games margin for error over an entire season to get promoted automatically) Obviously it's all absolute bollocks but I love working out the best case scenario
  7. He had the option to extend his 60K P/W contract until summer 2025, which was about to happen We've counter offered 30K P/W until summer 2027, everything agreed!
  8. I disagree, saying that football is a human game therefore nothing is remotely predictable & you can't possibly say one run of fixtures is easier than another is ridiculous. Each individual team's form can vary on any given matchday, so anybody COULD win any game, however it gives a huge indication on how easy or difficult your upcoming run of games will be. Playing against 6 teams in a row that are averaging 0.8 - 1.1 points per game is definitely & undeniably easier than playing 6 teams in a row that are averaging 2.0 - 2.4. It's not saying, these next 6 opponents average less points per game than us therefore we will definitely beat them all, it's saying ALL 6 opponents are struggling to pick up points therefore it's easier to take more points off them. "Or a star player might depart. A change of manager. All things will factor how hard any given fixture will be." The PPG stats in the post that you've replied to would be even more meaningful in these situations, you can literally check whether a team is picking up more points on average before or after any given event, whether they're better home or away, whether they pick up more points against good teams or bad teams etc. - some stats are completely meaningless but these ones are genuinely useful.
  9. I've brought my monthly haircut forward a week, clean shaven for the first time in 4 years and ironed my funeral suit 'cos there's no way on God's green earth I'm letting Nigel Pearson see me scruffy. I adore the bloke! Had a photo with him at Barnsley away ("One Stephen Dawson, there's only one Stephen Dawson") and he said it was great to meet me so I'm sure he's excited to come back to the KP. Fingers crossed his surgeon allows him!
  10. No problem, it's a really good website, I've just been flicking through - There's an option to bring up a form table (Last 4, 6, 8, 10 or 12 matches), it shows how many you've won, lost etc. like a normal table but also the points per game of the opponents you've faced in that time period. For example, we've got the same 4 game form as Cardiff, but played against much more difficult opponents. Sorry to piggy back on your post anyway, it just fitted in nicely with the point you were making !
  11. Found this table quite interesting, obviously it'll start to even out as we approach the halfway mark and become less meaningful. I like the "Next 4 opponents" bit too, ours was like 2.4 or similar yesterday before we played Norwich. The only thing is that this table splits it into home & away PPG depending on where the fixtures are, for example if somebody played us at home we'd be counted as 3.0 PPG rather than our actual 2.57, not sure if this is more accurate or not.
  12. I always think that 12 games in is a good indication of how good each team actually is. Probably worth mentioning that many teams have had a great start over 6 to 8ish games but pretty much all of them fall off that pace by the 12th game: Now, I'm not for one minute saying they wont keep up this form, HOWEVER... If Preston continue their current Points Per Game for just 5 more matches they will: Have had the best start to a Championship / Division 1 season since Fulham 2000 / 2001 The 3rd best ever start to a Championship / Division 1 season (Since becoming a 24 team competition, 1992) With just 1.4 Points Per Game from their next 5 games (2 wins, 1 draw, 2 losses) they would have still been top or joint top in 7 out of the last 10 seasons With 1.8 Points Per Game from their next 5 games (3 wins, 2 losses) they would still have been top or joint top in 14 of the last 15 seasons (2nd by a point in the other) 22/23: Sheffield Utd: 24 21/22: Bournemouth: 28 20/21: Norwich: 24 19/20: WBA: 25 18/19: Sheffield Utd: 25 17/18: Wolves: 26 16/17: Norwich: 26 15/16: Brighton: 28 14/15: Watford: 24 13/14: Burnley: 29 (We went on to win it ) 12/13: Leicester: 25 11/12: Southampton: 27 10/11: QPR: 28 09/10: WBA: 24 08/09: Birmingham: 27 07/08: Watford: 29 06/07: Cardiff: 29 05/06: Sheffield Utd: 30 04/05: Wigan: 24 03/04: Sheffield Utd: 26 02/03: Portsmouth: 31 01/02: Crystal Palace: 27 00/01: Fulham: 34 99/00: Charlton: 26 98/99: Sunderland: 24 97/98: Sheffield Utd: 25 96/97: Bolton: 29 95/96: Leicester: 22 94/95: Wolves: 26 93/94: Leicester: 25 92/93: Newcastle: 33
  13. I'm not commenting on the list but scrolling down I've seen Lloyd Dyer's name mentioned 3 times and I couldn't scroll past without saying what an absolute delight it was having that man at our club. One of my favourite ever players regardless of era, club status at the time etc. I absolutely LOVED the bloke and was gutted that he chose the 3 year contract elsewhere rather than a year or two in the Prem with us (Although I understood his reasons). We were incredible that year and Dyer suited that team so well, ahh man I've barely thought about it for years but I'm off to Youtube his greatest hits! EDIT!!! - Oh my feckin' Christ put him on your God forsaken list -
  14. I know it's only small but I'm a big fan of the way he talks about other clubs... Norwich? “They are a very good team. They have different ways to play. They are in one shape on the ball, a different shape off it. They are unbelievable. We’re going to try to be ourselves on and off the ball and try to get some points there.” You can tell he's A) Genuinely respectful of them B) Intrigued by the way they play & C) Wants to pick it apart and beat them I think at least in the last season with Brendan he lost that level of respect for the opposition & thought we were good enough in general to compete with most of the league, which we weren't & it's nice to have that back. This has been one of my favourite starts to a season in a while, genuine enjoyment with a manager that wants us to be better, fitter, stronger & more intelligent than everyone we face, go on the boys!
  15. Interesting to see what Jan Bednarek said to the Polish press after they lost to Albania in a Euro Qualifier last week... "Na Fanzine Leicester City zawsze zaczyna się robić politycznie, wątki mają dotyczyć piłki nożnej, ale potem ktoś wspomina o historycznej wojnie i inny biedak, który prowadzi stronę, musi założyć nowy wątek. Cała sprawa jest wielkim wstydem. Ale mam wiele szacunku dla Harry'ego WInksa" Players always seem more keen to slag us off to their local press, no doubt he'll be all nicey nicey when interviewed by Sky this week!
