  1. No chance we sack him yet because there’s a real danger that another manager could come in and get promoted with these players and the board would absolutely hate that. Best thing to do is hold it out until even a play off spot is completely out of the question then sack him and don’t employ anybody for a month in order to make relegation a genuine possibility! Textbook
  2. Rivers of Babylon - Boney M From The Vicente Calderon, To Mansfield Town Ye-eah we wept, when we remembered League One
  3. After 2 for this if anybody can… will keep looking up until the day!
  4. Neither of them were in our Champions League group... oh God, maybe I'm the hipster
  5. Feel the same as when Champions League groups were announced, no idea if the opposition are any good, never watched their games because I'm not an unbearable football hipster
  6. I was such an arrogant little shit when we were in the Prem, didn’t waste my time looking at the lower leagues and it’s really coming back to bite me on the arse. Having to google more or less every suggestion in the thread, accusing posters of being football hipsters and it turns out they’re just being realistic.
  7. Me and a few likeminded fans who think we can win today are meeting near the stairs of block MN in the Portsmouth away end 15 minutes before kick off I’ve brought my Bluetooth mini speaker and I’m going to be playing HARD-FI: Living for the weekend followed by BON JOVI: Keep The Faith before we march out and face the Pompey fans! FOXES NEVER QUIT
  8. Gave you a like because I think this is the first time in over ten years on here that I’ve seen somebody contemplate that they might be in the wrong 😂 Usually it’s denial, sarcasm, personal insults and logging off for a week and I very much include myself in that, very refreshing, 10/10, fair play
  9. Do I want it to happen? Yes Would it go well? Yes Would he get the crowd on side? Yes Do I love him? Yes Do you love him? Yes Yes? YES YES? YESSSS LONG LIVE THE KING
  10. Ahh sorry mate, my bad. What's happened is you've seen a Leicester Fan TV post, not questioned it, and somehow got buying and selling the wrong way round. Deal's been horrendous either way. If that's no clearer I can stick it on a blue PDF, do some bubble writing and post it on Facebook if you want 😂
  11. That's what we paid for him in 2021, looks bad on paper but if you account for inflation, add in his contribution to the success of the club etc. then a straight 17 million pound loss is actually great business. Obviously the 20 million in wages he's earnt since he's been here can make the deal look worse than it is but don't let that skew your logic - if somebody had come up to you in July 2021 and said this guy is ONLY going to cost us 37 million English pounds over the next 5 years and by the time we offload him we'll be that good that he can't even break into our team you would have snapped their hand off.
  12. Michael Skubala most famous of course for his 4 years teaching me P.E at Lutterworth College 2008-2012
  13. Lads, if Mark Harris doesn't win player of the season there's no justice. Three cheers for Harris, HIP HIP…
  14. Yep, that was absolutely worth pointing out - can't believe I missed it
  15. This Pep Guardiola stance has become a parody of itself. If a random club in any league started scoring an abundance of goals from long throw ins, just absolutely launching it in creating threat after threat then collectively the football fans of this country would absolutely love it. No noses would be turned up. Solid defences capitulating because a 28 year old with 4 appearances for Greece U21s can absolutely sling it 60 yards. There is not a fan in the world that wouldn’t enjoy it.
  16. A bit baffled by some of the negativity on this thread, apart from the obvious lack of a proper number 9 we played really well. Cov are an above average team for this division and will probably end up in a play off position, they’ve also been creating a lot of chances and scoring a lot of goals. Why is it so difficult to grasp that Cov created nothing because we didn’t allow them to, we completely nullified them and did so without having to play defensively whatsoever. A lot of teams are capable of sitting in, heading and kicking their way to a 0-0 against an attacking side. Not a lot of teams can completely nullify an attacking side, control the game and create more than enough chances to win the game comfortably. We played well
  17. Ignorance and ableism must be easy when you’re dealt a winning hand, The things I’d give to experience a real life job, not so easy with my chronic lack of motivation but you probably don’t care up there on your tall horse And then a lump sum to share between me and only 4 of my kids? We’d live like Kings and Queens Maybe have a think about others before parading your perfect life all over the forum
  18. Good fit for him I think, a team that will dominate against most if not all other teams in the league. I think far too many journalists that have never really watched Leicester play much are pushing the “he’s not the player he used to be but he’s got experience and he knows where the net is” narrative or suggesting he’ll be perfect to come on and see out games against a tired defence. I don’t agree at all, I think a lot of people are confusing Vardy getting slightly weaker each season with Leicester getting incredibly weaker each season and I think that our recent demise has undervalued him a bit. I wouldn’t be at all surprised to see him banging them in on the regular for Celtic, the amount of chances they’ll create for him vs what we were creating last season is night and day. There was a time when we were decent that it seemed like he put away every single chance he was given but obviously that’s not true for any striker, he was missing some too but we were creating so much in attack that there was an inevitability about him scoring at some point, and of course we just remember the actual goals rather than what lead up to them. I hope I’m right, I’ve got no club preference really when it comes to Scottish football but I’d enjoy seeing him score a load more goals and I’d probably end up watching a lot of their games. With ample game time he gets at least 20 goals.
  19. This thread is full of people that are desperate for that “I told you so” relevance “I said they wa gowen down from day won” Did you Grandad 😂 We’ve got a good enough squad to go up with a signing or two, maybe even without - get behind the team and stop panicking so early you wimps
  20. My entire family support Forest apart from me and my Dad and today’s results have been phenomenal for me. Not only have they not qualified for the Champions League or Europa, it turns out it was actually entirely in their hands and all they had to do was muster up a home performance. For anyone that wishes they could personally laugh at a Forest fan today, just know that I am working overtime in the family WhatsApp, calling for Nuno’s head, feigning astonishment that they couldn’t be bothered to put in a performance today to get it over the line. And I’m doing it all for you! up the City
  21. He's still capable of at least 20 Premier League goals a season in a decent team, 9 for us this year and we've been absolutely awful, borderline uncompetitive in a lot of games. If I was in charge at a big club I'd pay him a lot of money to sign for a year or two, he's probably the safest "gamble" a club could possibly make in the history of football. No transfer fee, guaranteed goals, a proven track record of scoring big goals, not phased in massive games etc. - I disagree with anybody that says he's not as good as he was before, he's just playing in a terrible team.
  22. He had to rush off to catch a flight so couldn’t go out onto the pitch
  23. Held it together until Vardy and Wasilewski had the biggest, most meaningful hug I’ve ever seen in my life. Some bond between those lads, glad to have seen all of it!
