It’s just how you choose your mindset. As fans we have very little impact on how the results pan out. People keep referring to “heard this last season”. It’s all very boring. Get over it. The difference with that to this season is we have shown that even when not at our best this season we’ve still comfortably won games. Last season even when we were at our very best, we struggled in a lot of games. The only thing our mentality is lacking is being able to shut out 1-0 leads. Missing sitters isn’t down to mentality, it’s down to competence.

What can’t continue to happen is these capitulations. We have to trust the manager and thus far he’s done a very good job. I agree with most of what you’re saying. But if you can’t see that their second goal is lucky I’ll be very surprised. Both games against Ipswich we drop points to lucky goals. In each of these games we’ve controlled and totally dominated, and 2/3 of them we’ve had decisions go against us that have been match defining moments.

It could also very easily extend. If we play like we did tonight for the rest of the season, which there’s no reason to see why we can’t. We will be champions.

Doesn’t matter how long ago it was. Only three weeks ago everyone was shitting themselves about Southampton. Yet we absolutely destroyed them, very similar to tonight only difference being we took our chances that night.

Well. A game we should’ve been 3/4-0 up in and we end up losing 3-1. Really only have ourselves to blame for the glorious chances we’ve missed. Dominated the game. Looked ever so comfortable. A cock up from the officials (surprise, surprise) stops us going 2-0 up and absolutely game over with how much control we had. Brain dead defending for the equaliser. Another lucky deflection conceded to put them ahead. Then we totally lost our heads. There won’t be a more flattering win for Leeds this season. Most of you lot expected us to lose, so I’m not sure why this is coming as much of a shock to you. We’ll still be fine, we’ll still go up as champions, a late capitulation in a game we dominated for 80 minutes shouldn’t let that cloud your judgment.

We’ve lost 5 games out of 33. That’s one loss every 6.6 games. On that basis, we only lose two more games this season. Of course that’s not how it works, but just another spin on things.

They’re all winnable.

Our tough fixtures are the next 5 games. But I think we’ll win 3 of them at least. Still a lot of games to be played, even though we’ve probably got the toughest of the lot our current points tally makes up for them. Whereas the chasing pack have 1 or 2 less tough games. 8 more wins does it for us, and we are more than capable. We’ve shown for 3/4 of the season why we are the best team in the league, can’t see us blowing this at all.
