  1. He's Southampton's best player. It's only that they are resigned to relegation and his contract is up at the end of the season that he's available as they might as well get some money now than lose him for nothing in 6 months. He would be a massive upgrade on how James Justin has been playing.
  2. If we were in the championship how much would we pay for a striker that is on track to score 15-20 goals in a season if we needed a striker? Surely we would find the 10m plus. There's a fair chance someone in the championship stumps up the cash. Especially someone chasing promotion taking a punt. For 10m plus it's worth cashing in if we do get that kind of money as you say. He can finish but isn't really suited to playing as a lone striker and struggles for pace so the Premier league may be a bridge too far. For 5m I agree, he's worth keeping, 10m we might be able to get someone in more suited to keeping us up and needs must at the moment.
  3. Practically walking back for their goal and gave the ball away on the edge of our box near the end of the half which could have been another goal. He makes too many mistakes.
  4. Soumare makes way too many mistakes.
  5. Soumare needs replacing too and we could use another CB who is better than what we have.
  6. Vardy is better and RVN doesn't want 2 up front. Against Wolves I think at half time he just didn't want it to become a cricket score. He had given up on getting anything from the game and wanted to keep it tight. Hence the defensive substitutions.
  7. We don't need to just go on a spending spree as such though. What we need to do is get back to how we were with Pearson, Walsh and to a lesser extent Puel (terrible manager, great at finding players though) discovering players that are undervalued that we can develop. We were the blueprint for teams like Brighton, Brentford etc who are all punching above their weight now. One of our best players is a young Brighton player who can't get in their side that we are developing. He's class, don't get me wrong but that's the sort of player we should have on our books and be loaning out to them not the other way around. We were years ahead of those teams now we are massively behind. Every single person who has been involved in that drop off should be sacked. If Top is too close personally to them then put them somewhere else in his businesses but get them away from the football club. You can't compete in the Premier league with a jobs for the boys attitude. Otherwise we are looking at relegation and if we go down, league one is a real possibility with the points deduction and a retiring Vardy. Top could sort this out himself if he replaced everyone, if he doesn't want to or isn't interested anymore then fair enough sell the club but the alarm is sounding, don't ignore it a second time. We could all see we were in trouble early on in the relegation season. We are in real trouble now again.
  8. Steve Walsh or someone as good in as a DOF and looking after our transfers.
  9. Exactly. The last time we let Kasper go and put Ward in we got relegated. If we let Mads go in Jan we are going down.
  10. He has to defend his player but it's really worrying that either a) he has known for a week Mads might miss out and hasn't watched video on Ward or b) he did research on Ward and somehow thought he should start even after seeing what happened at Newcastle. Maybe he just saw him in training and perhaps he is okay in training but knees buckle in a match. If that's the case and he hasn't watched any tape of Ward in matches then that's something missing that a top manager would have done.
  11. He's famous, he's available, he's free and he just had a good 2 weeks at Man Utd when they couldn't get worse. Now he's here hopefully it works out, he might have great contacts for players to sign, but it doesn't seem like it was a particularly deeply thought out hire.
  12. This is a major problem. Just look at Luke Thomas and James Justin for two other examples. Luke Thomas started in the FA Cup final win and Justin has gone from being called up to the England squad to playing like a total imposter in the premier league. Both should have been worth a lot of money, especially being home grown players now we couldn't give them away with their wages. With all the money spent on Seagrave our players should be getting better not worse.
  13. Sorry Cooper. All is forgiven.....
  14. Get a pair of gloves on him. He can't be worse in goal than Ward.
  15. It's worrying that he hasn't done enough research to realise how useless Danny Ward is. Coady and Justin are just not good enough for this level either.
  16. For 12m. Oh and gave him a contract extension. No wonder we are where we are.
  17. I'm going to try and be positive here. He's 24, only a year older than McAteer. 25m does seem like a ridiculous amount of money to have paid for him. No doubt having been capped at every England youth level, and played 24 times for the under 21s, helped Levy, who doesn't need any help, pull our pants down on the price. That's a lot of money, especially for someone who offers very little creativity. He's still young, so hopefully, he will become a decent premier league player like his England youth appearances suggest, but he's shown nothing so far.
  18. Great interview. Bonus points for being able to pick up the phone and call Enzo. His contacts in the game must be great, hopefully that helps us get some quality players signed in January that we wouldn't otherwise have a chance of. At first when he became the front runner it seemed kind of underwhelming but now that it's official it's actually quite exciting. Typical Leicester. It's a gamble, but so was Enzo.
  19. He would make a great DOF.
  20. Enzo was assistant manager under Pep though and had great contacts for signing quality players. It was a calculated risk.
  21. That's true but 2 wins in 11 games as manager of Olympiacos, it's hardly surprising the silly fat greek twat fell out with him.
  22. 39% career win percentage despite managing in the Cypriot league, a complete disaster at Olympiacos and the championship. We can't be guinea pigs for someone that may be good when everything so far has been completely underwhelming. The only reason he is even being mentioned is because he was worked with Bielsa. We should be aiming for someone like Bielsa not just someone who may have learned a bit from him over a season or two. We really can't afford to get this wrong. We also need someone who will be able to bring in quality players and has the contacts to do so. We can do much better.
  23. Won nothing. Achieved nothing. No idea why he is even being mentioned. Cooper has a much better CV and look at how that turned out. We can and should do better.
  24. 4th most manager of the month awards (tied with Klopp) did a great job at West Ham with no real backing. We could do a lot worse.
  25. RVN is just a typical flavour of the month shout. As you say he did nothing special at PSV and the last thing we need is someone that players tend to hate. He did well for a short period of time with a side that could only get better in Man Utd. RVN is like when Lampard was the next big thing or Gerrard etc.
