Development/Youth Squads 2023/2024 Thread - U18/U21

I wouldn’t say the results bother me per-say but certainly the nature of some of the results bother me Not been much of a thing for the under 21s so far this season (until last night) but the under 18s are starting to develop a very bad habit this season of throwing away results by conceding goals very late on -
Anyone watched Echo yet? Sounds like it is quite ”meh” unfortunately

@Ric Flair 88th minute winner from Reading -
I know quite a few of our most recent deals have been bad but bloody hell https://theathletic.com/5201583/2024/01/15/nottingham-forest-premier-league-charges/ By the time Forest signed Chris Wood and Jonjo Shelvey from Newcastle United last January, they knew the numbers contained all sorts of risks. They went ahead and did it anyway. Wood signed on loan with a clause in his contract that triggered a £15m deal, on £100,000 a week, as soon as he was named in the matchday squad three times. Shelvey was given a two-and-a-half-year contract on roughly £75,000 a week and, within St James’ Park, the two transfers created something bordering on amazement. Put bluntly, they could not believe Forest thought it was good business.

As we are not playing until Monday you would think that tonights under 21 game would be suitable for him to play to get some minutes in his legs -

Definitely hasn't improved at all Playing tonight and you wouldn't have a clue unless you actively searched online for the under 21s fixtures -
Sorted! Big Dan Amartey steps up into midfield and Alie Sesay in at centre back (never played a senior game but shush)

Hopefully we see Alves play for the under 21s tonight -
I think all the stuff with FFP kicking off has put off a lot of clubs from doing any serious January business I know the Jan window can usually be quiet anyway but it seems even more so this year Just 4 first team signings in the Prem and 15 in the Championship I expect most teams including ourselves will wait until very late in the window do anything if at all

Yeah counts as an Asian player which is helpful for them in the Champions League I think domestic he would still be classed as foreign though which is why they are looking to move on Fofana - however the Saudi league is increasing the amount of foreign players each team can have soon anyway
