Mavididi was very good last night I thought. Wingers always are inconsistent to some extent as their game is solely based on being the maverick and beating the full back with trickery and pace - and this is more high risk when compared to players in other positions.

We play our next game before Ipswich and Southampton which I think is important as it’s a chance to stick 3 on. Relax everyone. It’ll be fine!

We didn’t bottle it. We were the better side again, and their equaliser again had an element of fortune. My main outcome of tonight was to get the tempo back after Cov. I think we did that and are unlucky to not get all 3 points again. Should have killed the game off though.

There’s a lot of subplots in this game. We got humbled at Cov, have a few first teamers out, manager in the stands… Ipswich have fallen out of the automatic promotion spots for the first time in ages and a few players out themselves… Both teams should be bang up for it, and I think whoever wants it most will win the game. Although I’m a little optimistic because at their place before Christmas I thought they were poor and saw nothing in them, though if KDH doesn’t play I think we’ll struggle.

Well he’s been the beneficiary of a level of resource that no one else has got near because they have cheated.

It annoys me that clubs try and muddy the waters and state they have special or extenuating circumstances. Poppy cock. There should be a set punishment that is dished out when the accounts are submitted and found to break the rules. All this delay, trial by media - particularly re Man City - just highlights how weak and toothless the authorities are. Probably more concerned about punishing a team some regard as revolutionary and moving the game forward bla bla bla, and what that does for the leagues reputation and brand around the world. Grow a pair! Also, surely to god this taints Pep’s reputation as some sort of god and seminal footballing genius. Those early days at City and when they weren’t winning the CL look even more questionable now they were also cheating and making a mockery of every (or a lot of them) rule in the book. And what’s more, Man City have actually been quite successful in steering the media narrative in their favour I think. There should be uproar from rival fans, particularly us lot as we’ve been royally shafted in recent years by teams who have broken the rules, but to some extent there seems to be a level of passive acceptance about it all.

There’s no other explanation really as to why Rodgers was able to last for as long as he did. Sounds like we had someone who had given up, but was able to manipulate and bend Rudkin around his little finger. If true, speaks volumes about his integrity. You do definitely get the vibe that Top is a little more detached from things at the club when compared to his father. Also we forget he’s still a relatively young man, and I’m willing to bet is able to be influenced by the likes of Rudkin.

Kind of ironic as Iheanacho has played like a 🐐 this season
