Yesterday I asked how Daka’s goal per game ratio compared with Akinbiyi. Its almost identical in total games, but in the PL Daka is worse. So I have just been on an inflation calculator website. We paid £5.5m in 2000 for Akinbiyi, which in 2021 money is £9.8m. We paid £23m for Daka reportedly in 2021. So my conclusion is that Akinbiyi was a superb investment compared to Daka.

I disagreed with this view a few months ago, but I am in full agreement now. It’s got so pathetic that home fans are mocking and laughing at the team. I don’t think they’re even trying now, which I’ve only ever said of the 22/23 shit show - but this worse. They lack ideas, effort and just go through the motions a lot even when we’re just a goal down.

Statistically worse on headline stats than Akinbiyi (goals per game). That says everything about where he is as a striker.

I remember that game and it supports my theory on Daka - that’s he’s capable when he’s under no pressure and there is no player anywhere near him…

I wonder who’s got the better goals record, him or Ade Akinbiyi.

What I’ve heard is that Top wanted to sell a while ago, but his Mum won’t let him because memories of Vichai etc. It’s only idle terrace gossip, but I think the club are going to be run into the ground even further before anything changes.

How is Patson Daka a footballer? He got a prolonged time here where he had the benefit of the doubt, mainly because of his body language and general demeanour. But he’s absolutely woeful. And he’s just consciously thought he could score from 30 yards. **** off.

I’m going to bring my boots next time I go to the KP because I can’t do any worse than some of this lot. I’m not even sure how some of them made it as professional footballers.

It is, but I have a sense of apathy that I can only think is linked to the apathy and lack of effort on the pitch. I find it bizarre and not sure what’s going on. Among all the issues and crap, that is probably my biggest gripe with the clowns that have run us into the ground. They have almost killed my sense of pride and joy for the club.
