I think this summarises where we’re at with the whole of KP, the personnel and structures within the club. Everything needs a refresh. I say this every few years, but we were the disruptor to the top 6 through excellent recruitment, cutting edge sports science, doing due diligence on characters etc (and more). Others have caught up (eg Brighton) and we’ve been overtaken by other approaches (eg Brentford). And it just feels like it’s been gradually chipped away to the point now where we’re back to being a yo-yo team. I’ve also often dismissed likes of Brighton say it won’t last etc, and maybe it won’t. But I bet they won’t implode and slide down like we did. It’s like because we had tangible and real success (that the likes of Brighton etc won’t have) they got giddy and didn’t know how to handle it. It was a great opportunity to stabilise the club as a minimum top half (ish) club - that would have been considered progress. Instead we’ve been run into the ground in some sort of boom and bust cycle, and you’ve seen how hard it is to get out of that cycle. If we stay up this season I could just about find it within me to give Top another chance, but only if he clears out Rudkin and brings in a new operation with a dedicated DoF and Sporting Director etc. He, more than anyone, is not the astute and experienced man his father was. He needs this sort of operation to support him.

People on here need to hold their nerve, perhaps more so than they hold their beer!

Another problem with Ward is that he might have cost the manager his bounce (Newcastle aside). That is massive. He should never wear the shirt again. Simple as that. However, do we risk a half fit Hermansen against the best side in Europe? I say throw that game and throw Ward to the dogs. Why risk Hermansen in a game like that when he’ll be busy? Although we all know Iversen is a better her than Ward, even during the relegation season there was an improvement when he came in. Ruud has never been in a battle like this in his short managerial career. We’re certainly doing to see what he’s made of.

He got a cheer when his name was read out as the team was announced. I was concerned then that he might get booed, and at that point it would have been unhelpful. But after what happened in the game, and based on previous, a clear message was needed.

Get a Time Machine and make sure Rudkin’s father never showed up for the first date with the lady that would become Rudkin’s mother. I’d possibly then take one for the team and, if a boy was conceived, insist the lad had a career in the church.

At this point there needs to be criticism of those who select him. Hopefully Ruud has learnt and will act when others persisted with him for far too long. Honestly put Filbert Fox in goal over him.

Their new manager is saying he is uncertain whether Cunha is available. All mind games - surely they will know and just want to try and get an advantage from saying it’s a mystery.

I thought we had someone lined up but we didn’t. A friend who’s a Wolves fan says that they’ve approached people who have turned them down, so maybe they’ve finally found someone? Who knows

Is Cunha actually out though? Or just think he will be because he was involved in the fisty cuffs yesterday?

It really depends on if they have anyone lined up or whether they will have a caretaker for a game or two.
