Could This Be the Most Important January Ever?
Wasyls Pec Deck replied to StanSP's topic in Leicester City Forum
In my opinion with this regime it’s arguably too far gone. A good January may be enough to stay up, but then what? What other has been or never has been wants a last and generous pay day? I’m pretty close to declaring we need to start again in League One with competent people in charge. -
Realistic right backs we could sign in January

But maybe a bit less shite than our options -
Thinking about a lot of his goals - from what I can see he flourishes when he’s in acres of space. But if a defender is close by he hasn’t got the composure. Any competent footballer at least makes contact with the ball last night (our only attack in the second half on the break) and makes the goalkeeper work. Instead he slices the ball. It was so tragically predictable. He’s been a total flop.

Whoever can’t get a game at Man Utd -
Haha the old ‘too shit to punish’ escape trick

The Wolves game was the only one we expected to get something out of and didn’t - and it was embarrassing. People calling for his head already or saying he was the wrong appointment - have a word with yourself. He was never going to turn us into world beaters. Look what he has to work with and hold your nerve! -
Well done Jakub. You’re the best behind Mads, can push him and may replace him soon - but we all knew that anyway!
-
Should’ve given it Fred West
-
If Patson actually makes contact with the ball at whatever minute that was at 2-1 then you never know. Hopefully we can learn from tonight and give Man City more of a bloody nose
-
That is the negative of another wise decent performance in many other aspects
-
We’ve played well and there is positivity here. Defensively compact, and perhaps that’s this Barry Murphy bloke.
-
He’ll save the day!
-
If they can’t tell they’ll just give it because Liverpool are a big club at home
-
Patson doing his best to live up to a surname that rhymes with his actual surname
-
So annoying when we get fouled in a promising area - nothing. Liverpool straight up the pitch and a similar challenge is given as a foul no questions asked…
-
We’ve played well, but it was only a matter of time. There are signs of positivity here, and we won’t win. But shows we can be disciplined and compact
-
Haha. It’s the hope that kills you…

These Amazon prime streams are crap for the audio syncing with the picture. It’s been a problem all day

Ward is an odd one because he looks decent in cup games against lower league sides and sometimes better side. The fact he has no bottle or loses his shit so much against bigger sides has clearly gone under the radar until he’s got that big PL contract (and didn’t he get a contract renewed here as well?). I’d be interested to know how close we’ve got to shifting him - I suspect not very close at all. I remember raising an eye brow when we paid so much for him as a backup. Turns out we we’re all bang on the money.
-
I can’t think of many better keepers in the league. You’re right, sell him and we’re down for sure. But one day he’ll go and hopefully we’ll be in a position to reinvest to improve further. My concern is that we’ll have to sell to balance the books/keep the club running.

He should have gone full Martin Allen or Holloway and played 4 right backs. Oh wait, we don’t actually have more right backs… -

Well we’re certainly going to find out what he’s made of. He may well be inexperienced for this situation, but let’s see. I don’t think it’s quite as bad as that. For example, the Newcastle selections were driven by the alternatives we have. I don’t think he had any better options in midfield on that day? Did he expect the same level of performance? Again I’m not sure we can assume that. I agree with you on the Ward issue though, but not sure about him being in a the Netherlands reflects bad on him. What if he had a family commitment or something like that? -
Are they doing or threatening ID checks for away games at the moment? Asking for the hypothetical fan who may have given tickets away…

Was Barry from EastEnders not available?
