Brentford (A) Saturday 3pm - Match Thread

Going back to Luke Thomas, just goes to show how crap commentators are when they refer to him being highly through of at Leicester - is that why he’s been on loan at Middlesbrough and this is his first appearance for ages? -

Bloody commentators saying Cooper sacking was harsh and not warranted - well how about pretty much all supporters thinking he’s dog shit. How about that? ****ing morons -
Daka will turn into peak Ruud
-
I think the fans will really warm to Ruud and from what I’ve seen he likes to build a good relationship with fans and is very passionate etc. Cooper didn’t have that here, and it will hopefully lead to better atmospheres at the KP which can only be beneficial for us.

I see he is praising the structures within the club. He must have been told to say that. Anyway, welcome Ruud! -

New levels will be reached if the club - for whatever reason - can’t get RVN over the line. The longer it rumbles on the more concerning it is… -

Are you suggesting that a caretaker coach that no one has ever heard of will get humbled by an experienced operator like Thomas Frank? For the record I think we will get beat, but I also wouldn’t be surprised if we got a result. From what we’ve heard the players will be buoyed by Coopers sacking and will want to impress the new manager. Stranger things have happened! But I agree it’s all been handled badly and is a totally unnecessary mess. -

I like Merson but he can barely string a sentence together so I wouldn’t be too concerned! -

Every manager is in danger of not working, particularly the last one. I feel Ruud has more chance of doing well so happy days -
Really excited by this one and I think the players will get excited which will help because that clearly wasn’t the case with Blooper

Shexy time! -
Yea I would hope they consulted lawyers etc and got a reduced compensation clause - is that a thing?
-
Shame he never faced Warnock in a Sheffield derby as it would have been Colin W anker v Horny Lad…
-
I really like Rohl and only a matter of time before he goes to a better club than Sheff Weds.
-
Presumably those three coaching staff two of whom I’ve literally never heard of. So should be fine

5 mins ago my mate who frequents the dogging lay-by near Seagrave was in the process of Rodgering an ex vertically challenged manager in the boot of his car. He’s got a bad back and is being treated by the club physio cash in hand, but I digress. Anyway, in the midst of passion he bobbed up his head and caught the shine from a bald head in a car pulling into Seagrave. Apparently it was Lee Carsley.
-
Fair point. I like him as a coach with what I’ve seen with England. I really like his style of play, and I think we’d score even more goals than we do now. Hopefully he or someone in his team could sort out the defence.
-
I like Carsley with what he’s done at U21 level, and as England caretaker, but it’s another question altogether as to whether he’s ready for a relegation fight in the PL.
-
Yes much rather someone with an appetite who has shown promise and with something to prove over someone who doesn’t know what they’re doing and has shown very little. Cooper had a good run in the Championship with Forest which is where he belongs. No one can credibly claim he is a solid PL manager based on the evidence we have before our eyes.
-
Exactly this. Just looking at league position, and not unpicking any of it.
-
For those of you wondering how this went, I said he was clueless and out of his depth and said how he was a Championship manager who’d had a good run and stats demonstrate him to be a poor PL manager… it didn’t go down well. I think the response was “well he can only work with what he’s got…” 🤣 these people are just deluded.
