This is what worries me most.

All well and good Brighton being persuaded to cash in. But I doubt the player himself will be keen to move to a side likely to be relegated, over sitting tight for 6 months and likely finding a team in a better position than us, and probably on better wages.

Random / Semi Unheard of Players you’ve spotted that we should look at
wardyfox86 replied to Sly's topic in Transfer Talk
Filip Bundgaard (20) LW/ST - Brondby Niklas Odegard (20) CM/CAM/ST - Molde Jakub Romsaas (20) LW/CAM - Tromso Emil Breivik (24) CB/CDM - Molde And the obvious player from the Scandinavian leagues, Roony Bardghji, but he's destined for bigger things already. -
I know people say this as a joke and a put down. But genuinely, he'll be decent in the championship next season.
-
Stolarcyk, Skipp, Winks, Coady, Ndidi, JJ, Vestergaard, Daka will probably stay. None have proven themselves good enough or ready to play top flight football yet but would help form a handy Championship side. I wouldn't lose sleep on any of them leaving though. Fatawu and El Khannouss I'd be disappointed to lose, I'd hope being young they'd give us a season in the Championship. Faes, Mavididi, Kristiansen, Mads, Soumare, Okoli we'll actively try to sell but their stock won't be high (Mads maybe, but his stats won't look good in an RvN side shipping goals for fun) Unlike 2 seasons ago, where we did actually have some players that were better than the Championship. This season, aside from 1 or 2, the players that think they're better than the club are probably the 1's who's exit will be celebrated the most.

Enlighten me as to why a group of players that have, now twice, been proven incapable of PL level football would think that a) they're better than us and b) somebody better would want to buy them?

What happens during a transfer ban if players want to leave?
wardyfox86 replied to Qwerty's topic in Leicester City Forum
Even if there was the threat of an embargo, there's the possibility of us getting our business done early (unlikely with us) There's a significant amount of time between the final game of the season and actually being relegated to the EFL. I'm pretty sure we can operate in the market as normal whilst still technically a PL club. As for players wanting to leave. Almost all of them have proven they aren't good enough for PL football, so if they think they're better than us and want to leave, let them. I want some new players to get behind anyway, fallen out of love with the majority of our squad. -
Ruud being terrible does not make sacking Cooper the wrong decision. They just got his replacement SO wrong.

Ruud van Nistelrooy - New Manager - Official
wardyfox86 replied to moore_94's topic in Leicester City Forum
Does it matter?? They won't bring in the right manager next. The list of better options was as long as my arm when we sacked Cooper and RvN wasn't on it. I'm not even angry at him, a competent board just wouldn't have hired him. -
I don't really find happiness in other people's pain, but if there's 1 thing that would slightly soften our impending relegation, it'd be United following us round the U-bend
-
There's just no way 2 of the 3 teams above us go down. You look at them in most games and think they're in with a chance if getting points. Just doesn't happen currently with us and Soton.
-
Stolarcyk Coulibaly Coady Nelson Justin Skipp El Khannouss Mavididi Alves Fatawu Probably Vardy That's a decent enough 11 with plenty of sellable assets left out. Plus I'd assume, should relegation be confirmed early, we could get a bit of business done before we're officially an EFL club even if there was a risk of an embargo. Personally I can't see what the EFL can do, that the PL couldn't. Especially not "record numbers" because their feelings got hurt. The punishment still has to fit the crime.

It's the most obvious "sign him now and loan him back to them" I've seen. Surely if his trajectory is only upwards we should be sanctioning this deal as swiftly as possible. Low fee with a hefty sell-on % The same thing we should have done with Mandela Keita, baffling.

Would love to see Dobey or Bunting win it this year. Littler's time will come. He was ticking along nicely against The Asp though, can't see past him.

Realistic right backs we could sign in January

I had Jan Vennegoor of Hesselink left over but I didn't think that sounded like a real footballer -

These young players running down their contracts at Ajax, aren't doing so so they can rock up at the mighty Leicester. He'll have far better options, on far better wages come the summer, unfortunately. -
The league is in danger of becoming a closed shop of 17 teams, the gap will continue to widen unless a promoted team can relegate 1 of the weaker Prem teams. Look at the teams that'll come up when us 3 go down, Leeds aside you just know they won't be able to attract the kind of player that'll keep them up. Yet teams like Wolves are struggling in 17th, littered with internationals. Good luck to those coming up, somebody needs to flush a couple of these turds for the good of the pyramid. Edit: (already alluded to by @SouthStandUpperTier@SouthStandUpperTier)

It's not about the quality of player, it's now the likeliness of it happening. I could put out a list of: Foden - Loan Alphonso Davies - 10m Fofana - 40m Maddison - 10m Dias - 100m They'd all improve us but it's still a terrible list.
