Maybe that’s why we’ve bought skipp ! £45m and they can have him interesting that maresca has chosen not to play an inverted full back but instead pushing the right back very high

Does Holland realise this is a one day game ? -
The three year rolling psr total surely has to be implemented by the PL - otherwise you potentially have a championship club suddenly spending a hundred million more than all the other clubs in an attempt to get to the PL. Sheff Utd was not a psr issue. I think it was specifically an efl one. ???
-
I mentioned in the psr thread that we would argue we don’t have to submit an accelerated set of accounts to the PL as were an efl club. so we likely won’t get any charge relating to 30 June 2024 period heard and implemented this season (unless we want to and assuming we breached). I think it was reported last season that the PL can enforce EFL sanctions and vice versa. I assume that to avoid some pretty crude avoidance of the rules in the championship that the PL will charge based on efl season ending.

Tbh, the replays I saw looked like hughes was blocking the defender. If that absolutely was 100% not the case then the var could have over ruled without the whistle being blown. Assume the ref was too keen to implement the new rules
-
Sort of Irrelevant if the var doesn’t think was a clear error to give the foul against hughes
-
It’s a three year rolling total - I think it’s irrelevant that year 3 was in the champ Exactly They didn’t break three year rolling psr in the championship - that occurred end of their first year in PL.

I see Toney now likely to move somewhere ….

Depends
-
We’ll not know till aug 30th Expect we’ll announce skipp as an undisclosed fee
-
We can only have two PL loans and levy would want the dosh this season as an academy sale so very psr lucrative we still have one PL loan we can make and foreign ones
-
Reading this thread makes me feel some sympathy for rudders please stop this or I could stop reading 😄
-
You’ve not bothered reading the thread then 😀

Injury prone ? he’s missed 1 game each last two seasons according to the table put up earlier. he had a bad pubic injury a few years ago which is a concern because it reminds me of madders but he isn’t that type of player so may not be as much of an issue.
-
Glad to see all those who moaned about the winks deal are moaning about this one he’s 23 he’s got inherrent value because he has two more decent sales in his career.
-
20m+ is a bit on the high side but if we want the player and there was some competition for him the levy is always going to squeeze a bit more than most out of the buying club we can easily sell him for 10m. in two years so not much risk although a few mill o/spend

In a Scots accent ???
-
V reasonable More concerned that rudders has been conned by his agent into doubling his wages
-
Will be more he’s only 23
-
Good news proven PL level player
-
I mean facts are irrelevant when I’m being facetious…..

spurs aren’t big payers he signed his deal in 2022 when he was 21 i reckon he’s earning max 40k we could probably get him for 60k if we’re prepared to give him an viable exit via a reasonable release clause he’s more decent than most appreciate cos he’s not had enough game time there. he’s not top six levels. But he’s more than good enough for us. as far as having too many players for positions is concerned, I’m rather hoping that we see a team playing with real intensity which means we need to rotate more than we have become used to.

You don’t know anyone from Hemel then 😄

But it’s not practical imo - in the end the money will always win eg communism - those near the top or involved in the party aren’t subjected to the same rules as the masses. It’s just another form of capitalism (and one where any meritocracy doesn’t really exist). Sadly, Human nature will always have its say. even on the kibbutz where it’s said that true equality exists, I’m sure there are a few decision makers who exploit their position.
