  1. Trump is no friend of his though he thinks netenyau disrespected him at the last election when he congratulated Biden whilst trump was disputing the outcome. of course trump may be intent on humiliating BN initially before assisting him. Yesterday was another illustration of how Hamas are setting the agenda. The fact that there is now talk of them stopping their armed struggle for good will make BN’s problems even larger. It does offer him a chink of light though because one of the stated war aims is to destroy Hamas to ensure that an oct 7 cannot happen again. If Hamas did ‘lay down their arms’ then I suppose he could argue that they were no longer an existential threat to Israel. and they bombed the Karen shalom ‘aid’ crossing the previous day knowing that this would elicit a response from Isreal on a day when they were going to leak that they would accept a ceasefire. Sinwar is maybe ‘too clever’ and that would concern the Israelis - the lack of any trust is endemic in this. of course note that amongst yesterday’s events were rockets launched into Israel by PIJ who are likely not to be in line with laying down their arms. significant that they did this post the Hamas ‘announcement’. I don’t disagree about hezbollah although Israel is keen to get the 60k residents that are currently displaced from n Israel back to their homes so a continuation of events in the north is not likely to get a positive response from the public.
  2. Can’t wait to find out what the MOD passwords were that China managed to hack through
  3. It’s in the post! no, not yet sorted
  4. I’m sure Liverpool were watching….
  5. Magnificent shame the first team coach and owner couldn’t delay the holiday for 36 hours to be there if I was 15/16 then support like that would mean a lot to me and my parents when it came to deciding where I wanted to ply my trade
  6. Before we start making any judgements, it seems that Hamas have agreed that Israel have to stop fighting, to withdraw completely and to allow unchecked goods to flow into Gaza.with the abolishment of the restrictions that have been in place since Hamas kicked out fatah in 2007. Can anyone see why Israel might not be so keen on such an agreement ? I believe that the wording used in the agreement which reflects permanency is ‘sustained quiet’. That does give netnenyahu a slight out in that he doesn’t have to accept its forever. But the end of the war is the end of netenyahu so it won’t be the right wing govt that moves forward on this anyway
  7. Again Hamas show their adeptness in winning the propaganda war. Israel simply never been anywhere near them since mid October. Israel may have the military ammunition but Hamas’ political nouse and media stuff has been so much better all along. (Especially since they’ve often been working from a less than pleasant subterranean working environment)
  8. Maybe they’ll try and arrange on that timescale
  9. Maybe to get a decent contract elsewhere- and then drop off it again ????
  10. no chance the custodians of our club make the same mistake ……..
  11. The others won’t be sorted out until Jan/feb at the earliest due to the process. Because we have even agreed a procedure to have our case heard yet, I wonder if it will all be done to co incide
  12. Everton effectively got six twice but because four of the six had already been applied the first time (2 points per season) , they only got 2 the second time to avoid double counting. I think we would expect six.
  13. You do but it hasn’t been tested as to what then happens re your three year losses which would likely be failed and lead to an additional sanction. that would be a different charge and hearing. I would think that a club going into admin could expect to lose 16 points at least.
  14. There is talk of us giving him an improved deal so you’d need to take that into account re the leaks
  15. Add in that the Chinese would lose their sh1t over it aswell
  16. It’s true that we remain an efl club until the end of may (I think we get to vote epl meeting in June) I assume the efl wont remove our sanction until they absolutely have to ( could be end June). as you say, we will do deals - just won’t be able to legally complete them or announce them
  17. I think that 777 will lose their money unless they have a very complex security arrangement around it. There is another lender who I believe will received 51% of the club if they aren’t paid back their loans. I don’t think 777 have that arrangement. I’d expect mr moshiri to be making arrangements to ensure he doesn’t lose all his dough by finding a way to finance this other lender to be able to bank roll the club. I’d be v surprised if it actually got to admin - last minute deals and all that
  18. Zero chance we’ll not quote zero but near as makes no difference we are drifting towards a place many of us expected where ukraine will have to accept losing a chunk of their territory in exchange for peace
  19. Depends whether you’re talking a one year extension or a new multi year deal. if it’s just a season then you wouldn’t have to pay very much. In their positions I’d sign a one year extension on the same terms as my previous PL deal and then walk for free next summer. Otherwise I’m better off going elsewhere and getting a three or four year deal (perhaps 5 for wilf) with the associated s/o fee because I’m a free agent. if we choose to offer them new long term deals here then they are effectively frees being signed because in seven weeks they actually are! So they’d expect a relevant s/o fee.
  20. Thought a lot about this and I reckon it’s time to shake hands and move on unless he’s prepared to stay for 50k/week. I doubt he’ll be much more than a last twenty five minute impact sub next season. his value around the squad re experience and attitude is worth that amount on its own. But there’s a limit because of our finances.
  21. There’s a signing on issue here. vesty would expect to pick up a s/o fee of around £4m - over a three year deal that works out to be approx 30k/week. if you think he’s worth 50k/week then we’d end up paying him 80k to include his s/o fee (in a similar way to how Bertrand was on that paycheck).
  22. Different times unless you think Micky adam’s team was the best in Europe
  23. Contracts expire June 30 the next few weeks are a time for holidays on the playing side (although most players in that position have at least one child of school attending age). I reckon unless we hear about OOC players signing for a new club then I doubt we’ll hear much from our side
  24. But we own the registration of daka and bouba so can get some money for them (although they are both more of a liability than an asset ) we wouldn’t give them those salaries now and I reckon we don’t go balls in on vards he can sign a one year deal here at 70k max or he goes elsewhere. Would he get more than that anywhere else ??? (Away from Saudi)
  25. If I’d spent a few years at a wonderful workplace like seagrave earning 80k/week then I’d also love it here !
