  2. It wasn’t bad at all! Certainly of its time Quite a different game in those days and that was a team that knew how to handle itself
  3. Maybe this is the start of our own ‘brighton/palace’ type rivalry ? I dont think either fanbase is very bothered about it though. Just a few social media warriors
  4. That happens you lose games where you’ve dominated I just think that the response of the club since last Friday indicates that Leeds players did stuff post match which really got under our skin. Otherwise it’s way over the top imo its fine for fans to do this but players and the club would usually be more professional
  5. I’m responsible for at least two votes for count binface ( I don’t have a vote )
  6. the response of the players and club with leeds related stuff tells me that things went on that Friday evening that we don’t know about Players wouldn't usually keep going down the same road, day after day. It would surely be deemed unprofessional if there wasn’t more motivation than Rutter’s post match interview and Leeds playing their usual post match songs
  7. Naming rights for next season can’t be booked on this season’s psr accounts, irrespective of when the money arrives in our bank account. my point was we can’t now come up with a retrospective deal for this season and book it in this seasons numbers. A player sale counts as per the date that the deal is done.
  8. And I’m wrong about asst sales like hotels in the efl cos they’re not allowed suspect either kdh is posturing for a better deal on the way out, the club have managed to fiddle a way through the mess with something clever (infinitesimal chance of that) or the club doesn’t care about this seasons breach and will take whatever fine is allocated (would be interesting to see if the efl gave a fine or deferred points deduction)
  9. For psr accounting purposes the money has to be allocated to the season it applies to of course if we did a deal now for next year and the money was paid into our account pre June 30 then it would reduce our profit/loss for this year but I’m almost certain that it wouldn’t be applicable to psr 23/24. And we obvs couldn’t do a deal now for naming rights relating to 23/24. If we sold an asset now then that’s different (like Chelsea’s hotel )
  10. We can’t announce retrospective deals for 23/24 if we do deals for next season then the value has to go into next season in the accounts Very odd that the training ground wasn’t sponsored at all this season - even if king power did it for one season for a few million it helps the numbers. I wonder if if there’s a limit on how many different sponsorship deals the owner’s business can apply to their club.
  11. Won’t be next season ……….
  12. That must be start of 2025 for the 2026 season
  13. Good point that CF Normal loan with option to buy agreements is that the loan ends 30 June and the possible sale happens 1 July. However, seeing as we knew we would need deals done by end June, you’d also have expected the loan deal to have been put into place with the sale done by end June - I mean that would be the sensible approach ……
  14. Gosh they’re desperate to get back those voters that are dripping away to reform
  15. Anyone in business wouldn’t try this approach ? the worst that can happen is we say no! they’re probably thinking that as we’ve been promoted we could afford to lose a couple million and have the fee as per his amortised value - so not losing any money
  16. Given the length of time it takes to design etc, he wouldn’t have much affect on a new team until season 2026. So he could well take a few months off early 2025. I wonder if he would buy out his contract so he could leave earlier?? This looks like he won’t have further input on red bull’s F1 car for 2025.
  17. I expect we will see Bouba pre season for enzo to decide if he thinks he can manage him. He wasn’t a bad presser but he was naive. He often went high when he shouldn’t and vice versa. In the PL where opposition are clever, they will lay traps for him and exploit that trait. could enzo help to solve that ? Rodgers either couldn’t or couldn’t be bothered to try. Maybe he’s been coached well at Seville to rectify that?
  18. One thing to add to the discussion re alternative approaches to games would be to recognise that enzo hasn’t had a ‘creative’ midfielder to call upon I assume mcatee was supposed to fill that void. perhaps with that type player being available we may have seen some bigger variation in approach. if alves kicks on then he can be that player aswell.
  19. Just to add that his statement that he has no intention of leaving the club he’s been at since he was 8 could be 100% that or it could mean ‘if the club think they’re going to sell me against my will without weighing me in big time then they need to think again’. I’m sure he wants to get as big a fee as he can to help us but at the same time his agent will have advised him that he is holding a lot of cards
  20. Sadly most of those (apart from praet who is out of contract and JJ who is all profit) would not bring in enough money to cover their amortised values so of no benefit to our psr position I reckon if we sold all of those we would be positive £15m to 20m max (and making those sales pre June 30 just isn’t happening without that 15-20 becoming 5 ) so short of the 30m that kdh brings alone
  21. They’ll give it to Canberra !
  22. On a couple of occasions
  23. I assume we get punished in proportion to how much we break the rules. if we make no further efforts to get our numbers down then we can expect a v large fine and I think we also open ourselves up to a legal challenge for damages from Leeds if they finish third and miss out. selling kdh and failing be a reasonably small amount would hopefully mean any legal case would struggle because whether we sold him last summer, in jan or in June makes little difference to the overall breach.
  24. There’s a second place trophy?
  25. So what takes precedent? the anchoring or the 70%? it won’t help the poorer clubs spend more but it could put a ceiling on what the rich six are allowed to spend. I reckon with that in mind, the end result will be 6 times the lowest figure.
