  1. Dreadful pens
  2. Do they not watch what just happened before they take their pens ?
  3. Given the way he was having to scramble saves off nearly every tee shot, I was surprised at his game management at -3. He was never going to continue to escape, hole after hole. Maybe the odd long iron off the tee would have helped ????
  4. England look exhausted
  5. Never worked out why the coach is so committed to carter
  6. Macilroy has the look of someone who needs an hour or two on the range He’s off around 10 am so should have time in the morning
  7. Felix Baumgartner (the fella who jumped from the edge of space in 2012) has died in a paragliding accident ………
  8. I could get behind an argument that referendums with implications that will last for many decades should allow 16/17 y o to participate.
  9. But it wouldn’t Probably i cant find a strong reason to argue that those in that position should be denied the opportunity to vote.
  10. maybe those who are working and therefore contributing to govt funds should be entitled to vote ???
  11. Done some digging and apparently it’s because more penalties are being awarded for meh reasons. Hence it’s so considered that one chance to score is enough and rebounds make it unfair on the keeper who makes a save
  12. Was probably his PA carrying the bags
  13. Rory looks like getting lucky with the rain although the course is now wet.
  14. Jesus they’re running out of stuff to change so they’re picking ridiculous things number 2 I could just about understand if they can use it properly number 3 is nonsense number 1 I simply don’t get
  15. Others have expressed views broadly in line with mine Do we think this decision will engage more teenagers and make them feel less ostracised by the lawmakers ? if no, then it’s a political move. Are we out of step globally with our min voting age?
  16. looks like he’s selected the team he expected to when he picked the squad (injuries aside). Since the 19th century I think
  17. Voting age will drop to 16 by next GE Understand the debate but on balance, not a fan
  18. We fell a long way from 2006/7 into the abyss of the financial crisis of 2008 and its ramifications. We’ve been bouncing along the bottom with v weak growth for years now - so it won’t feel so different if we do fall into recession on the back of events.
  19. The only way of certainly knowing the mood of their constituents is to ……….. have an election ……… They represent their constituents as voted within our system - which is party politics. There is occasionally a large local issue where govt policy might have a huge local effect - that can muddy the waters. We’ve seen in the past where an MP who has opposed policy, stands in the next GE as an independent and is elected. they could resign the whip and force a re election under their ‘independent banner’ to clarify that they retain the confidence of their constituents However, there’s always been disagreement within parties on policy which can drive changes in policy. (Eg. a week ago and more notably for the state of our country, the tories and brexit).
  20. The MP stood for election as a representative of that party, not an independent If they want to be independent in parliament then they should stand for election as an independent.
  21. Interesting forecast for tomorrow early starters in a better place wind picking up with rain from later in the morning
  22. Good that someone is prepared to protect the minorities there. No one intervened to help the alawites and Christians recently which saw at least 1300 massacred. the isr have domestic reasons to try and make sure the Druze don’t suffer the same fate I asked earlier today what jolani’s motives are and if he can be trusted. EDIT: this has been framed as an internal Bedouin/druze dispute there was something in this to begin with but it’s now very much the Syrian armed forces involved and much of it very ‘distasteful’.
  23. Character building !
  24. Just been looking at events in southern Syria Any opinions on Julani ? Can a leopard change its spots ?? are the west being taken for a ride ? or is he doing his best in a difficult situation where he maybe doesn’t have enough control over his forces ??
  25. How would you describe the last eight years ??
