  1. I'm surprised there is still space at the LCFC donkey sanctuary.
  2. This isn't meant as a slight, but what is he adequate at? I'm at a loss to name anything positive about him. I wasn't impressed with him, then he said everyone got a clean sheet and repeated the same mistakes as last season. A highlights reel would tell him all he needs to know. My foreshadowing was right and he's another resident of the KP donkey sanctuary. His attacking stats at QPR were 1.2 goals per game. For the last 2 seasons they scored 47 & 53, at the moment they have 35. The squad is good enough to compete if drilled with basics at the back and fast attacks, passing ahead rather than to the feet standing still AND importantly a fighting spirit. We have a strange mix of overplay at the back, invite pressure but then panic, pass to the attackers who don't seem to want to work together once JJ or Reid have found them. He watches the same mistakes and poor attacking tactics every week but doesn't do anything about it.
  3. This is it. We have shown that we can score goals when the team attack with pace and move quickly, usually when chasing the game. Then next week it resets and they become braindead and greedy. There is a strange mix of full backs and wingers barely making an effort or having the instincts to run into space ahead, if players do then Mav and Ayew almost always ignore the quick and obvious pass until it's time to send it backwards. Then we have another tactical issue where Ayew loves to drift to the left wing occupying Mavs space. If either do choose to pass and cross, we have no one in the box or it's taken so long the defence can clear it. It's obvious to all, there is a breakdown somewhere, either they are ignoring him and failing or listening to him and failing. They are happy to pass the ball when under pressure at the back or in the middle where it's congested, but the attackers avoid moving into space or passing. Mav, Ayew and Fatawu have been really bad at this lately. They want to be greedy, do the hard part but when it comes to pulling the trigger, Mav and Ayew will break down the attack and even worse, not play anyone else in. Fatawu is greedy and has poor disipline but at least he's not afraid to shoot.
  4. He definitely needs someone to guide him. He has regressed in his overall game and the worldies, because of his greed makes him stand out. The manager is useless so Ricardo should be pulling these guys up. He is actually good at the basics of a winger. Running into space, pass, move and cross. We have scored goals like this but he hardly wants to do it. Thats all down to managements lack of purpose, discipline and tactics. He doesn’t seem to be working that well with JJ because he isn’t playing as a team player. It happened again yesterday where JJ gets the ball and drives forward, holds off players waiting for him to run into space ahead but he just stands level or behind him on the wing. This season he doesn’t seem to have the instincts of getting into space but wants to stand still and skin a player where as running and passing avoids the player and he’s on a front foot. Something we get undone with constantly, yet Marti’s sets us up to avoid pass and move basics. All our wingers and forwards are the same. It’s either run into groups of players trying to do as much skill as possible, ignoring simple passes or they do the hard part to get close to the box and then don’t actually pull the trigger. Mav, Ayew, Fatawu and Monga all play the same way. All wax no wick. They play like they are on the training pitch trying to get IG clips rather than in a team. Reid was poor yesterday but he knows when to pull the trigger, the same with JJ.
  5. What's Kingy actually doing? Either he is part of the team that is causing the problems and a waste for money or not doing anything and a waste of money.
  6. His first instinct on the edge of the box with a player unmarked and plenty of time to take a shot, slows down, twists and turns and we end up getting countered.
  7. Those first games he came in he had so much raw energy and expecting to do everything by himself, which seems to be Marti's wing play. He will be an amazing player if coached right, away from the IG step over stuff. With focus and a manager with tactics forwards will love to play along side him.
  8. Mongadidi really needs a manager and coaching staff to develop the basics of playing in a team.
  9. Fatawu not even bothering to run in the space ahead from JJ.
  10. I don't think he is that calculating, he certainly hasn't shown that on the pitch. We have looked exactly the same every game the season apart from those two freak 45 mins. The guy isn't very good at his job and needs to go tonight.
  11. And it’s frustrating because a few small changes at a time and they can turn the corner. If the results come or football looks like they are trying, they should build up more good grace to fix behind the scenes. We can see the issues that are constantly repeated. Why can’t they. They keep signing and re-signing dross players and hiring even worse managers that can’t see they are rubbish. They won’t otherwise they would’ve done it by now.
  12. And during game tonight they continue with the step over, no pass and move into space challenge.
  13. You can take a few bad decisions but they have been compounding rather than nipping things in the bud. Just like watching the football now. The team should be performing better but better choices were needed to be made. Hindsight wasn’t needed to know Marti would not be good. He said everyone gets a clean slate and just repeated the same mistakes adding his own level of dross. You don’t have to be the best player if simple tactics and passages of play are drilled in. We constantly get out done on the wings by a simple 1-2 pass and cross. Or a loose ball while passing to the forwards with their back to goal then hit with a counter. Our team actively avoid crossing the ball quickly and act like they will get docked wages if they pass and move forwards into space. A few positive changes from above and on the pitch can turn things around, it won’t happen though. Start by getting rid of Ramsey and Carranza, waste of time and money. The club needs to stop being a donkey sanctuary. Sell Winks, Faes and make sure JV is only backup unless desperate. Start to actually coach players like Okoli, Fatawu, Monga and Mav. If they don’t listen then bench them until they get it but work the team so the attackers get all the support they need. Signing JJ and building an attacking side around him, Nelson and a few of the youngsters would be a start. For that we need Marti and his team as far away from them. (Insert but who would manage/Martin copes for sticking with Marti).
  14. Mav, Ayew and Thomas competing to see who can avoid crossing the ball.
  15. Autocorrect. 😂 I meant to type lofted balls. Nelson looked in control with the ball and confident in the pass, Okoli seems to let it roll while he decides what to do.
  16. The last game he looked like a quicker version of JV. Yesterday he looked like the player JV probably thinks he is. They still invite the press too much and play the pass to Ayew that never works but that’s a coaching issue all over the pitch. He didn’t seem to put pressure on Okoli, Skipp or Jakob which is something JV does too often. I can’t wait till he finds his own style from experience and a good manager but it’s looking positive. He could be a good DM as he can run with the ball. They must have spoken about Okoli’s passing as he was only playing listen balls. More communication and learning from mistakes is good to see.
  17. All our attackers need a coach badly and one that has tactics and defined roles. They are all greedy but when they get close to shooting seem to be unable to make the decision and it breaks down. Too much self sabotage for whatever reason. Mav skinned a couple of players got to the area and could’ve just blasted it but he had to slow it down for one more turn and wasted the chance. Page got the ball on a break but Mav didn’t run into space, Page had plenty of space to shoot but squared it Mav and nothing happened. I wish Page just smashed it. He isn’t a team player and too greedy, but that comes from having zero tactics and purpose drilled into them. Ayew, Mav and Thomas on the left is sad. Two hate passing and the other can’t wait to pass backwards.
  18. He’s a much better productive player when the defence aren’t inviting the press and causing their own problems by passing backwards under pressure. With a player in his role, if he’s not being mentioned he usually had a solid game.
  19. Boring player, he usually stinks out attacks by getting involved just to pass backwards and it’s over. There was a point in the 2nd half where he got in a great position to cross unmarked and passes back to Skipp, he gives it back and he passes it back again.
  20. And also so thick. All he had to do was shoot after the hard work.
  21. Only we can go from a counter attack to 10 seconds later giving away a free kick on the halfway line because they don't want to shoot or cross.
  22. Just waiting for him to perform his usual rock bottom finisher move to get booked.
  23. Stand around and watch each other pass to the feet and head backwards than run into space. Ayew, Thomas and Mav build up play is sad to watch.
  24. Pass backwards instead of crossing under no pressure, twice. Thomas is useless.
  25. It really doesn't matter who is playing anymore, they all play the same way and repeat the same poor tactics. JV or Nelson playing sadly means nothing if they all keep trying to walk to the halfway line and pass to a crowded middle.
