Those side to side passes along the back where they try and play it to Ricardo and then Thomas. Both are already positioned to send it back, then Winks finally passes it to Skipp who doesn’t even attempt to turn and sends it back for JV to either stop, get pressed and almost cost us a goal or smashes it to Daka to fall over.

LCFC 0-1 Swansea, post-match thread
Richmondfox replied to Phil Mitchell's topic in Leicester City Forum
Especially as Thomas loves a two handed push in the back and Ricardo slides in and takes the man out, yet when we need it they go missing. -
He’s just a young Ayew. Fans at his new clubs will create a myth that he was amazing and loved at Leicester and has prem experience, but it will be a cope while watching him cross the ball once he’s being marked and it’s too late.
-
If he started crossing in the box we would have picked up scrappy goals, forced players to get into better situations and maybe created more opportunities for the donkey forwards. Ayew was his most useful just hanging around the box and not moving. Fatawu to Ricardo to Mukasa to Fatawu running into space should be bread and butter in this poor league. We always get opened up by simple moves yet our team never bothers. The goal against Norwich at the start of the season to draw was so simple yet they stopped trying it the next game. He isn’t a team player but he’s also not good enough to be a luxury player. He will improve with a strong manager and team mates that have more than 2 brain cells He struggles to make simple passes, he doesn’t look to run into space to receive the ball. He slows everything down to try and beat a player but struggles A lot of this is down to the coaching staff and managers not developing the team and correcting mistakes. The players should take responsibility themselves for improvement and understand where they are going wrong. Fatawu could mix things up and be really good, but he is rinse and repeat until it comes off every 5 games.
-
Don’t care about him. I’ll be glad when he’s gone as he is part of the problem and not the solution. He will struggle at a prem team because he isn’t a team player. He needs a manager to drill it into him as he hasn’t got great footballing intelligence.

Brain dead player. Happy to play himself into trouble than the simple pass. At the end of the game he hand so much time to cross, yet waited till he was closed down and it was blocked.

LCFC 0-1 Swansea, post-match thread

Set the team up to play exactly the same way as they have been unable to play all season. Boring, thick cowards at the back & middle, and thick greedy attackers. -

If we do score first they will just then try and park the bus. Too much passing backwards and sideways and then if the wingers manage to get the ball they hate to cross first time or pass the ball when there is an easy option. They will take 10 passes along the back for it to finally get to Skipp who won’t even bother turning but sends it back. -

But they didn’t take risks, they did the basics very well. They wouldn’t shoulder barge a player a foot smaller and 20kg lighter and fall over instead -

Yet keeps the two biggest cowards in Thomas and Ricardo and doesn’t change the way the play. Keep passing backwards and sideways instead of forwards. Not sure if Rolwett has witnessed JV inviting the press, walk to rhe halfway line and get countered after trying Enzo ball to Daka. I don’t think any of the players or coaching staff actually go over the games to fix mistakes. -

When he actually skins a player or is unmarked, he won’t cross but play himself back into trouble for a second go. We must have some of the thickest players in the league. -

No change of tactics, behaviours and mistakes. Fun afternoon of step overs, marking zones rather than the ball and players and zero 1-2 pass and moves into space. -
Monga sadly has been mismanaged this season and has very little development and training on how to play in a team. He will be great once he learns how to pass and move but when Mavadidi and Ayew are your peers then good luck learning that strength. Good job he’s young and hasn’t been infected by the coaching staff.
-
The social media team already have the best of Vardy and Mahrez goals ready to distract the masses and keep positive engagement online.
-
It will be the same slop they have served up all season. Slow and side always at the back, Thomas and Ricardo making the coward options of the backwards pass which kills any chance of a break and puts others under pressure. Lots of short passes in the middle with no one wanting to take control until we get countered. The problem are mostly their own creation and terrible zonal marking where marking a player and attacking the ball seem to an afterthought. Skipp lately has ended up in a good position where you want someone who can pass and shoot. Mav and Fatawu doing their usual no pass step over challenge.
-
They are practising against each other, that’s why Mavadidi and Fatawu think they can skin everyone, but struggle when they play the opposition. What is clear is they don’t go over the mistakes or think they are mistakes as nothing has changed all season. They should practice against a local team from Braunstone or Beaumont Leys, that would toughen them up. Pass and move quickly or get the shit kicked out of you.
-
Any manager with half an idea would be drilling in Fatawu and Mavadidi to pass the ball instead of trying to take everyone on. They would drill players into offering supporting. They both could manage it when KDH was running and slotting into areas. Yesterday a few times Ricardo actually ran forwards with the ball, he had to pass to Fatawu’s feet as he never runs into space, of course nothing came from it because he allows himself to be doubled up. In the first half Mukasa I think got the ball and the slotted Daka in behind. Mav was equal to him and could’ve ran ahead into space which was the obvious move but the first thing he did was run backwards. Our coaches haven’t addressed or seem to apply any tactics or fixes no matter how obvious.

Is there anything likeable about us?
Richmondfox replied to foxfanazer's topic in Leicester City Forum
I cant stand watching the players move forwards then just pass backwards or sideways. No one wants to make a pass into space Fatawu isn’t an enjoyable player to watch anymore. You know what ball Thomas and Ricardo are going to play before they receive it. JJ is the only one who is likeable but he’s not ours. -
He can tell the wingers to stop trying to skin everyone, he can get them to stop standing still and wanting to receive the ball standing still. Run into space, overload, offer support.
-
He hasn’t changed anything, he’s allowing the attackers to make the same obvious mistakes every game. Mav and Fat will do everything possible to ignore the easy and obvious choice.

Away v Sheff Weds. 06/04/26 Match Thread
Richmondfox replied to davieG's topic in Leicester City Forum
Lazy and thick. They think they are better than they actually are. Our wingers could get in better positions if they can be bothered to move, when they do beat a player they can’t just cross they have to try and beat them again but fail. Any attack they are just static, along with Thomas and Ricardo that only want to pass backwards means our attacks are slow, boring and predictable.
