  1. Nelson and Okoli take an age to pass the ball as neither wants to do anything other than sideways or back. While Mukasa hasn't been great he needs the ball moving forwards a lot quicker. Hamza to Fatawu with his back to goal is doing nothing this game
  2. Why does Mavadidi hate crossing the ball under no pressure
  3. Ayew stopped running on Mavs counter. It didn't even cross his mind to run forwards to drag cbs away. Needs to be subbed already.
  4. Mav is just a young Ayew.
  5. So easy for him, he turns instead of passing back, drives forwards and shoots.
  6. He even got forward into a great position on the overlap but Fats ignored him. Do this every week and get a taxi home after a night out, simple.
  7. Hopefully they all remember to not pass to Ayew in any build up. All he has to do is press from the front and goal hang hoping for scraps. He doesn't need to drop deep or occupy the wings, especially as he will never pass to a player in a better position. With JJ back in the team, Skipp can just focus on mopping up at the back and pressing in the middle. They need to stop inviting the press but Thomas and Hamza add little other than auto back passes. Let's see what mood Mav is in today, I'm guessing step overs and not passing and moving into space. He needs to finally step up, unlikely.
  8. All the opposition had to do is press from the front and target Thomas with simple over laps, both we seem unable to do. Bristol didn’t do that and we looked better for it. If they play around the back constantly while facing a press then it could be a long afternoon. Ayew will always be a blocker so hopefully the players can keep avoiding him in any build up otherwise there is no point making forward runs or expectation of a pass when he gets the ball with his back to the goal.
  9. A half decent journalist would ask him what he does well, what he offers and why aren't we seeing it on the pitch. I could understand if he was creating chance after chance or forcing saves from the keeper. I've never seen such a selfish player with so little ability. He actively avoids playing in his team mates in better positions. He has created more counter attacks for the opposition than chances for our team.
  10. As he doesn't make an effort to drag defenders away or get in a good position, it's probably better he's not there to not mess things up for his teammates.
  11. He's solid when we are on the front foot, when they piss around the back and start trying to play around after inviting a press he becomes useless. This team are their own worst enemy.
  12. Okoli, Skipp and Reid are doing the best to mess it up.
  13. The mistake these clowns make is thinking they are in control and have enough of a lead. Ayew will do even less up front and try to win fouls by diving, the defence will keep playing around the back and slow it down. Skipp is a lot better when he doesn't have anyone pressing hm, if he does then he just crumbles.
  14. Ayew gave up moving to the ball half a metre away even though he was closer to it.
  15. The get to the halfway line, turn back so the defence can pass it around the back until we concede period.
  16. I think the game plan is pass around the back so that Ayew drops deep, then counter so he can't get the ball.
  17. Ayew actively shutting down a counter because someone is in a better position ahead.
  18. Keep passing side to side until they lose it. Brain dead all over the pitch.
  19. The forwards look good as they are up against our defence. Ayew spends all week skinning Ricardo to just fall over and not pass the ball when it gets to game day..
  20. Another grug brain manager that hasn't got any plan other than assume that the pros will pull their socks up and get us out of this mess.
  21. Another one repeating the same mistakes and ignoring what he sees on the pitch.
  22. I have no opinion or even care about his personality but regarding his job, he isn't very good at it. At what point does the industry stop calling him a forward. Daka v Ayew is cat shit v dog shit.
  23. It also shows how poor our coaching side is and the players own (100% conjecture from me) understanding of his game and how to improve it. The choice of standing still to receive the ball, step overs and cut backs or nothing. No instincts to get into space. While Ricardo is a model pro, he stinks as a captain. Could you imagine someone like Jordan Henderson and Xhaka putting up with these lazy players making same obvious mistakes.
  24. He avoids the basics to attempt the difficult. The difficult rarely comes off but in this poor season it’s enough to give you a bit of hope and excitement. I would rather have Albrighton than any of our wingers. They have zero instincts as a winger other than stand still to receive the ball and try to skin the players in front. The idea of running into space to receive the ball and a quick 1 - 2 to avoid players is the last thing on their minds. Now we realise how much Enzo drilled into these players to get them working. Left to his own devices, Fatawu isn’t that good at making the obvious, simple and right choice. He could have double the goals and assists if he actually worked as a team player. So many times JJ would do the hard work and Fatawu would stand parallel with him instead of the running ahead unmarked.
  25. This always felt like a myth that was repeated as a cope to such a poor signing. I never saw this actually come first hand. If true I’m sure it was Russia and Indian bots paid for by Palace to trick us.
