60 minutes of Faes, winks and Vestagard slowing everything down, pratting around the back under pressure instead of passing to an unmarked Mavadidi.
-
Slow perfect pass in and he blasts it away with his first touch.
-
Hopefully Daka can stay on his feet when a defender comes near him rather than throwing himself to the ground.
-
More than good enough in this league if they work together and apply some urgency. Quickly out from the back like last game. Get KDH, Abdul and Mavadidi flying at the defence. If Vestagard starts playing walking football slower than my Nan, I hope the fans give him a gentle reminder like last game. The cheers for Abdul really lifted the energy, that would be good for Mavadidi if he drops his head.
-
They play to their strengths and do it well. Run and attack at every chance they get.
-
It wasn’t walking football up to the half way line with the cbs and Winks passing around in tight areas ignoring the wingers and blasting the ball into a marked forward dropping back. The element of Enzo ball that has cost us games wasn’t on show for the majority of this game. When they did slip back into it they started to let Norwich back into the game and make complacent passes.

Once the fans got on Vestagard and Faes backs for the walking football and slow passes, it made such a difference. The fans hyping Abdul as well was great for him and injected energy. The defence and Winks can slip into Enzoball in dangerous areas too easily and revert back to the style that has caused us to lose games. Justin showed so much attacking energy which was great to see.

Winks, Faes and Vestagard to slip back into default control mode putting us at risk.
-
They both spend 5 minutes in space waving for Justin or Faes to ignore and pass backwards while Winks tells everyone to slow it down. By the time it gets to them they are doubled up on. We have fast attacking wingers that have no space to run with the ball as we take too long to get it to them, when they do get it they usually have their backs to goal standing still. We miss Doyle mixing it up by pinging balls into space rather than Vestagard blasting it into a crowded midfield every attack.

Bristol City 1 - 0 LCFC Post Match Thread

Every game is the same. Faes, Hamza, Winks, Vestagard slow back passes while everyone stands around for Vestagard to blast into midfield, hoping Vardy will be able to flick it to KDH. Usually it ends up with a counter attack. Even at a goal down they play with the blinkers on and ignore the wingers in space. When we are losing they slow it down even more under the guise of controlling the play. You would think individual errors from Hamza and Faes would see them on the bench. They have cost us over the past two months. It’s frustrating when Enzo ball is obviously not working, they continue but even slower and higher up the pitch. -

If only he was that brave in attack and defence. -

It doesn’t matter who is on the bench if the attack starts with Vestagard and he has Winks and Faes next to him to slow down the play at any opportunity. -
You mean passing quickly into space and running at our goal as opposed to walking football back passing
-
And we still play the slow walking football back pass between Vesty, Winks, Faes and Hamza to blast it into a crowded midfield
-
Of course.
-
That would require passing the ball out of the back quicker rather than stopping, passing back and blasting the ball to a marked KDH.
-
This midfield is great when the ball is flowing and they are allowed to run at the defence. If it’s Vesty walking football to the half way line to pass sideways until a deep block has been set up then it’s useless.

Stoic answer, don’t waste your energy on things you can’t control. I’m sure he has read meditations by Marcus Aurelius

Leicester 'could face points deduction next season'
Richmondfox replied to ClaphamFox's topic in Leicester City Forum
Seems like a lot of overreach and using the press to create reactions and misinformation. Knowing it will go to court, LCFC can’t say too much in their defence. KPs stalling hasn't helped, which is probably why it’s a coordinated attack to show that no team is above the Prem and the annoying younger brother EFL. Once everything is out in the open they can decide why ch of the leagues can punish us and on what charges. -
Leicester 'could face points deduction next season'

If the Maddison fee doesn’t count towards the prem it would count towards the EFL or is that too simple? -
That won’t be an issue for Bristol as we walk the ball out of defence and let the opposition set their deep block before we attack.
-
While Enzo has done an amazing job, other managers have changed tactics to improve but we’ve gone backwards. I hope he is back as we have missed his drive starting attacks. He won’t change the system to fit the players available and thinking Hamza can play like Riccy has worked against us. The same with tactics, he won’t adapt to the situation which has cost us. There’s no point constantly play walking football to the halfway line, letting the opposition park the bus and then blast balls into the forward to try and flick to KDH who is crowded out with his back to goal. We need Justin, KDH & Stephy attacking quickly. The same with Abdul.
-
Fast out the back rather than Vesti slow and ponderous passing and turn back. If the opposition aren’t falling for the trap don’t walk to the halfway line allowing them to park the bus. KDH can’t run at players and link with others if he’s getting the ball flicked to him with his back to goal marked with 10 men behind him. Hopefully no Hamza. Abdul needs to start using his instinct rather than holding on too long and doing a lot of nothing.
-
This is the KDH that we have been missing. When we play slow walking football with the CBs coming out to the halfway line he doesn’t have the space to run.
-
Daka always seems to want to throw himself on the ground too easily. Cannon from what we’ve seen wants to take the shot and can shoot on target from outside the box. Mavadidi has started falling over too much in 50/50s looking for a foul and staying down when the decision clearly won’t be changed. At least wait till we (hopefully) get back to the prem to cry after every challenge. Hull ramped the fake head injury shit housing, the guy rolled around holding his leg, we didn’t kick it out and then he held his head and the ref pulled it up.
