  1. You talking about Cooper? As far as I can see I don't think any of his managerial jobs can be classed as a failure can they? Even being sacked by a maniac who went over his head signing scores of players that he was expected to pull together into a coherent team.
  2. Get the man top to toe in Admiral and Hype!
  3. 100%
  4. He's adaptable. He wants to play nice stuff but will prioritise results. So if all does go well and we survive and sort the financial issues out, he can grow with the club and the football we may potentially see in season 3 could be quite different to the football in season 1. He has a track record of improvement in all the roles he's been in and just keeping Forest's head above water with such a turbulent working environment is an achievement in itself. He's hired analysts to go through his own management style, combing through data in an attempt to improve while he's been out of work. His players loved him. The Forest fans also loved him. Given time, we may love him too. He's a principled bloke. Even with Nuno in the building behind his back he shook that dafty Marinakis's hand and wished him well.
  5. October and May look to be the months with the big opportunities to rack up points.
  6. Utterly reprehensible
  7. I imagine any contract offer could be quite complicated with the points deduction. We don't know how many points we'll be deducted over the course of the season, so any bonuses could be dependent on either survival or points gained regardless of survival. Or there could be different bonuses awarded upon survival contingent on how many points are deducted. Not to mention, if survival becomes an almost impossible job, there could be a break clause to negotiate 12 months into a multi-year contract, plus discussions on how the squad will shape up if/when we'll be able to recruit and what pool we'll be fishing in. Youth player development may factor into that too. Plus all the usual stuff about style of play, etc. This could be one of the most complex hires we've ever had to do. The fact that we have a shortlist and we're getting titbits of information about the kinds of manager we're after, I think, is indicative of a club doing a decent job of doing their due diligence. For me, all our problems originate when. Rodgers decided he wanted to keep all our good players, then we also awarded expensive contracts to our fringe players for their loyalty and put Rodgers on an eye- watering contract himself. Not telling Maresca about the issues was also a boo-boo but in terms of managerial appointments, Maresca was a huge gamble but a success and we're clearly putting a lot of thought and effort into these hires instead of going down the easy road and lurching from one ideology to the next hoping something will stick.
  8. There was a ringer down St Margaret's Pastures who used to just hang around every night and play if a team needed the numbers making up. I can genuinely imagine this kind of behaviour from him.
  9. Potter on a three-year contract but a 12-month break clause dependent on relegation would probably suit all parties I'd guess
  10. Regarding Potter, it is a bit confusing to see a serious link to him considering: (a) He rejected the job previously after we sacked Rodgers (b) He's been linked with some very big clubs around Europe as well as Prem jobs, and the impression is that he's rejected a few (c) It's widely believed that he's in the running to replace Southgate after the Euros. The chances of him coming to Leicester seems remote, unless: (a) Now we have a full season ahead, he's more receptive to the idea (b) With the financial constraints and points deduction(s) on the horizon, it's a bit of a free hit that may be seen as can only enhance his reputation to potentially what it was when he moved to Chelsea (c) We may offer him a 12-month break clause into any contract, depending on circumstances (d) He may understand the increasing suspicion among fans and pundits (and potentially club owners) that he's approaching the point of being without a job for too long, meaning the offers he'll get will begin to get worse (e) Southgate may have already decided to stay on, or the FA have their sights on someone else.
  11. It's not quite the sellers market it once was I don't think. I can't see us getting huge fees for players unless it's a humongous club buying. No point selling for pittance if we're still going to get big points deductions regardless. We either need him or we need big money. Anything in between shouldn't be entertained.
  12. Not saying he's sh!t but if he and Hamza were stood next to each other the whole game their pass completion between only each other would be less than 50%.
  13. That's the sort of thing that could easily be assumed without being said. If I somehow was a football manager and won the Bundesliga as the boss of Hannover 96, I'd gladly swap it for winning the Premier League with Leicester but I wouldn't ever say that in an interview.
  14. Terzic is basically Dortmund through and through, an actual fan of the club. The fact that he's got them to a CL final and there are still major question marks about him is a huge red flag. Dortmund should have won the league last season but absolutely bottled it. Then they finished fifth this season when it should be practically impossible for them to finish as low as that. The CL final is probably prompting the club to wait if anybody shows an interest and is willing to buy him out of his contract because there is definite cause for them to want to chance coach.
  15. Apps that begin with 'The' being listed under T when your apps list is in A-Z mode
  16. Ornstein got there first. He's not quite as on it as he thinks, old Romano.
  17. I'm fully on board. I'm really missing the season already and can't wait to see as many games as possible. England games will be difficult as I care but I love it all the same.
  18. If we make the right managerial appointment and we can unite under a 'fvck PSR' mentality, I think it could be pretty tasty down the City next season. Big ifs, though.
  19. First home game of the season: "we are staying up" echoing around the entire ground as the players take their positions before kick-off. Would set the tone for the entire season.
  20. Exactly. He might not be getting Champions League football but it would be another chance to impress in the Premier League. If he does well, he may get himself a better move than to a Bologna side that, while it has done extremely well, doesn't want to pay the going rate for a top five Serie A full-back
  21. Makes me really angry seeing stuff like this when you consider Fortuna Dusseldorf (recently failed to get promoted to the Bundesliga via the promotion/relegation playoff) are aiming to achieve a model where all tickets for every game are free - and have already managed it for three games this season.
  22. Literally all the new clobber is pure sh!t. How they can get away with selling it, and at those prices is beyond me. They must have sales figures for previous similar merch drops and so they continue to do it, but who's buying it? Do these people have more money than sense or are they exploiting a select number of people who will literally collect anything the club releases? I know taste and style are subjective but I honestly can't fathom why anyone would buy any of that stuff. Incredible.
  23. I like him, think he'll do well at Brighton if he ends up there. Could do a very reasonable job here too given the chance
  24. I wonder whether the club would prefer to receive Enzo's compensation in the 23/24 season or the 24/25 season? If we're going to breach for 23/24 anyway and we can't bring in the amount of money to avoid that, do we sack 23/24 off and wait for 24/25 and start from scratch in that year, giving us the best chance to use that money wisely to help keep us up?
  25. This is making me think it's Jose for some reason
