If Enzo can turn around Choudhury's Leicester career, he can do so with Thomas. I'm not saying Thomas is a better player than Choudhury as Hamza was very highly rated in his youth, but Enzo has managed to coach players into different roles in an unfamiliar system while storming the league. Thomas could be another of those stories if he's up for it. If he's adamant he's an out-and-out left-back, then he'll be gone again just like Kristiansen (or if Enzo thinks it can't be done, of course).

I think by far and away his best attribute is his passing. In Enzo's system I think he could do okay inverting into midfield from the left. But there remains a question mark over his defensive positioning at left-back. Either he comes back, throws himself into things in training and learns what the manager wants him do. Or he goes either this month or in the summer.

Really enjoyed the New Year's Treat Kojey and Lenny's friendship was lovely. I wasn't familiar with Kojey at all but thought he was a really good contestant. All of them were good actually, and they worked as an ensemble too.

I haven't actually driven on the M69 in a good while but when I did I think I agree with you. I wonder if it's just psychological. Just a straight shot between Leicester and Hinckley or Coventry, no cameras, shortish journey, not too busy outside of rush hour. Just makes people think they can put their foot down and go for it. Plenty of numptyish driving on other motorways but for pure speed, M69 is up there with the worst I think.

Sounds like he's opted out for the right reasons. If he's going to play a minute or two here and there, if at all, then it makes perfect sense. I feel this is quite a unique situation. Ordinarily a player should be putting an international tournament first but this is the smart decision for his long-term career and could see him develop into a top quality Premier League player under an excellent coach.

I have a few thoughts on this so I thought I'd try to summarise them as succinctly as possible (presenting them a list probably comes across as a bit cold, so apologies for that): 1. Ridiculing a person's death online isn't okay. What this chap did deserves punishment from the online platform and I hope LCFC continue their efforts to stop him attending Leicester City games home and away. 2. I'm really sorry for the loss of the Ipswich fan. My best wishes to his friends, family and the Ipswich fans who knew him. 3. Posting MJDLCFC's real name and address online isn't okay either (I'm sure it wasn't you, OP). His friends and family will surely get some flak coming their way, which isn't right. 4. Every fanbase of every club in the world will have its own element of scumbags. In a logical-thinking world, the behaviour of those people shouldn't tarnish the reputation of the club or the town/city that they come from. The overwhelming majority of other fans of the club and residents of those places have nothing to do with those people. Every comment that says 'Liverpool fans chant about Munich', 'Man Utd fans chant about Hillsborough' and any other mocking of tragic events should be read and understood as 'a miniscule minority of X club's supporters are involved in the horrible act of tragedy chanting'. The actions of those people should affect only the reputation of those individuals. Peace ✌️

I think what we proved in 2015/16 and what Ipswich are proving now is that the gap between success and failure is actually quite slim, it's just really, really hard to get it right and sustain it. That consistent high performance is what attracts the huge fees and wages, and clubs chasing it can get it really wrong because they're paying many magnitudes more for players who are perhaps only fractionally better than cheaper players and can be overhauled by improving clubs and players with a good structure and plan.

It will be tough for sure. I would be most worried about Fatawu and Wilf's absences. Casadei just isn't good enough and Fatawu's style of play and defensive work is crucial to how we play. Akgun has shown flashes of good work and Kasey was on fire at the start of the season but we'll need one or the other to step up during AFCON.

A proper jammy goal to equalise in a game I think we deserved to win. We were the better team overall but they did cause us problems. There wasn't a great deal between us on the night but I think we deserved to shade it. Can't be too disappointed with a point away at the next best team in the league, especially as it moves us another point away from third and maintains the six-point gap between us and second. What is clear is that we should be beating them on our own patch, and tonight we should have had a penalty and an extra man on the field.
