Incredible isn't it. Him saying that fans tend to prefer big teams winning is literally just because watching good teams play brilliant football is entertaining for neutrals. It doesn't really matter, I think, whether those teams are the traditional big clubs or not. Whatever you think about Man City, some of their football is among the best I've ever seen, and I can enjoy it as a neutral but they're not one of the traditional big clubs. Yet their success and money has propelled them into that bracket. Who's to say tonight's FA Cup headline grabbers Bristol City, with their billionaire owner, couldn't do a similar thing? Or at least get up, stay up and eventually win the thing. It isn't likely, but it could happen. And something like that, something like our title win, or even just a different name winning the Premier League - like one of the old school big teams, such as Everton or Villa - just has narrative and a bit more romance than the same teams winning the league year after year after year. I don't want to see Man City winning the title 3 years out of 4 with the other one going to Liverpool ad infinitum, regardless of how much I enjoy their brand of football as a neutral. I want to see other stories being written, other clubs punching above their weight and seeing if they can get a foot on the ladder. Mostly I want to see Leicester City winning it again, obviously. But otherwise I want to see sport, competition and lots teams genuinely fighting for something instead of the same few. I hope most fans feel a similar way, and not in the way that executive thought.

With 10 men we were always going to be up against it away against one of the league's form teams. But I do think taking off Mavididi was where the battle was lost. Mavididi's pace and trickery would've been a fantastic outlet, potentially giving us a breather and allowing him to bring KDH into the game further up the pitch. Plus his defensive work is often fantastic. But, we live and learn. We were incredibly passive in that second half but on another day we could have turned half chances for Cannon and (I think) Casadei into goals and put the game beyond Coventry. A response against Ipswich would be nice. We'll miss Fatawu for sure but it'll be interesting to see if Yunus or Kasey will get the nod and how they'll perform.

I've worked with a few as well. Good lads and decent banter. As in most walks of life, a very vocal but very small minority let a large group of people down.

Think Paul's totally fvcked this, and possibly taken Harry with him. It'll be interesting to see how much influence Jaz has during the following day (providing he survives the night, even though it is looking like Diane's head is on the block).

The size of club coming from where they were to where they are now would be a story worthy of comparison to our triumph in 2016. We've only spent one season in tier 3 and have largely oscillated between the top two divisions. Girona have spent most of their history in tier 3 in - we could argue - a weaker league pyramid, and have gone as far down as tier 5. But, in 2017, they received investment from City Football Group which now owns 47% of the club. It would be a fantastic achievement to overhaul the big two in Spain, and even Atleti as well considering their success in the last 10 years or so. But with such a stable and wealthy backer, winning the league can't, surely, be considered on par with Leicester City winning the PL in 2016.

Awful news. He may not be a Leicester legend but I was genuinely excited when he rocked up here. What a turbulent but interesting period that was. Okay, so his England team only made it to the quarter finals of international tournaments but there were some incredible moments peppered in there. And that daft song about him, not to mention his off-the-field - ahem - exploits with the ladies. He's a major figure in the game and, actually, a great example of someone who just enjoys his life and knows how to do so. I hope he sticks around for as long as possible, as pain-free as possible.

I had the unfortunate experience of having a right piece of work become involved with a close family member. Said piece of work was self-employed and I sat in on a meeting between this person and their accountant just openly discussing what earnings they could hide from the taxman. It's rife. (Not that I'm accusing Heskey of doing this, mind. As a complete aside, I also used to know a close relative of his. Lovely family. Hope he gets out of it.) I agree, though, that it would be more beneficial for the country to go after the corporations and conglomerates than individuals.

Aside from what others have said re Mavididi, I think Yunus could be perfect as a false 9 dropping deep, linking up with the wingers and #8s. I think his movement could be tricky for defenders to pick up too, pulling defenders out and leaving space behind them.

He does seem prone to muscular problems but that says he's only been injured for basically 5 weeks in the last 12 months, with the injury prior to that being a broken leg, which isn't indicative of a recurring issue. That's significantly better than our Dennis, surely I know the whole record doesn't make pretty reading but the last 12 months isn't so bad.

I know this is a remote possibility, and it is really just an extension of local boy KDH bagging his beautiful two goals against Coventry on the opening day, but wouldn't it be just incredible if Maresca was able to bring Alves on with the game basically won and he scores an absolute worldie from the edge of the box to cement the victory

If he can play in a couple of positions and we can keep rotating and therefore everybody fresh (like we have been doing with Ricardo and Justin) then it's a big yes from me. Could be a big benefit to the squad this one, especially if it allows us to keep Winks out of the red zone while maintaining our system and style of play.

Conceding two in one game does bring back the PTSD of last season when we just kept giving teams headstarts. The goddamn Sky Sports graphic come up as the oppo takes a corner and we roll out the red carpet as the ball flies/meanders/dribbles into the net. Like Manuel on Fawlty Towers bowing to guests and waving them through with exaggerated deference. This season we improved a lot to begin with but seem to be conceding a few more again. Something to work on because we won't be so dominant next season if we go up. It's also worth pointing out that our back three hadn't played together at all this season, plus our second-choice keeper was in net, so there are mitigating circumstances.

Tough game based on their current form. Will they actually manage to fill their stadium for a local derby? Should be beating them though. Even on our off days we're clinical and show enough quality moments to win games. 1-2 away win, I think. Cannon, then Dewsbury-Hall to haunt these fvckers again.

Took his goal really nicely. And getting the right accuracy and power on the shot wasn't particularly easy after rounding the keeper from the position he took it. If not for a good save he could have had another good goal as well. Looks a real player.

I like Iversen. Good shot-stopper, really tall but gets down low really quickly, and commands his area and inspires a lot more confidence than Ward. It's a bit criminal that he's been so highly rated here for a long time but barely used. We'd have been a few points better off with him from the start of last season in my opinion. But, Kasper was here for so long and he just isn't the kind of keeper we need in this system now. Mads is also proving to be an excellent shot-stopper and is a terrific footballer too. Best of luck to Iversen, I hope he finds a home at a good level. No disrespect to Stoke but I think his level is above their current predicament. Maybe he can help them up the table and get a move to the Prem or a top flight European league as a result.

If Enzo can turn around Choudhury's Leicester career, he can do so with Thomas. I'm not saying Thomas is a better player than Choudhury as Hamza was very highly rated in his youth, but Enzo has managed to coach players into different roles in an unfamiliar system while storming the league. Thomas could be another of those stories if he's up for it. If he's adamant he's an out-and-out left-back, then he'll be gone again just like Kristiansen (or if Enzo thinks it can't be done, of course).

I think by far and away his best attribute is his passing. In Enzo's system I think he could do okay inverting into midfield from the left. But there remains a question mark over his defensive positioning at left-back. Either he comes back, throws himself into things in training and learns what the manager wants him do. Or he goes either this month or in the summer.

Really enjoyed the New Year's Treat Kojey and Lenny's friendship was lovely. I wasn't familiar with Kojey at all but thought he was a really good contestant. All of them were good actually, and they worked as an ensemble too.

I haven't actually driven on the M69 in a good while but when I did I think I agree with you. I wonder if it's just psychological. Just a straight shot between Leicester and Hinckley or Coventry, no cameras, shortish journey, not too busy outside of rush hour. Just makes people think they can put their foot down and go for it. Plenty of numptyish driving on other motorways but for pure speed, M69 is up there with the worst I think.
