Not having a go at you, but you are quoting the BBC who themselves, in the studio, are still referring to the beheaded babies as 'unconfirmed'. The IDF themselves, also specifically in respect of the '40 decapitated babies' are unable to 'confirm'.

The BBC are still reporting it is unconfirmed and Jeremy is direct quoting what the Army Officer has told him, rather than seeing the bodies himself. IDF high ups are saying its unconfirmed.

What happened to Journalistic integrity though, especially in this country - we used to be so good at it, now we are terrible (though I put a lot of this down to a Tory Government and Rupert Murdoch)

The British Printed Press mainly ran with the beheaded babies story this morning, despite many journalists and figures in Israeli authority yesterday and into the night saying that these were unconfirmed reports and the media should hold back. Now the IDF saying that reports of beheaded babies cannot be confirmed. The disinformation and propaganda machines on both sides running amok now. The quote "The first casualty when war comes is truth" is never far wrong. Needs to be much more caution on reporting on both sides of the divide as it doesn't serve anybody. Verification in Journalism should be everything, seems to have fallen by the wayside, especially in Britain and America, badly over the last decade or so.

The report of and extent of murder of children in the Kibbutz is horrific and cannot be condoned by any sane human being, its disgusting. However, let's not forget that between the years 2000 and 2021 B'tselem, an Israeli organisation, puts the figures of Palestinian children killed by the IDF and Israeli settlers at 2171, and the number of Israeli children killed across the same period by Palestinian militants at 139. I've not seen any persistent outrage at this by Joe Public or members of this forum because its easy to put this down to that horrible word 'collateral' which somehow diminishes child death. 'Slaughter' 'beheading' and 'Murder' will always produce far stronger emotive responses, as will the deliverate nature of those actions but the end result is the same I'm afraid. Dead children. There are of course plenty of impartial human rights groups reporting over the years the deliberate targeting and killing of civilians and children by the IDF and Israeli settlers, perhaps in a less barbaric manner, but murder all the same, it's just that you have to go looking for those reports because they don't often make headlines. Correct, but the Western world has and only ever will take the side of Israel. As for Media coverage and public opinion, its driven not by the facts or the history, but by an unconscious bias against Palestinians with an entrenched racial element. Time and again we see brutal actions against Palestinians, or humanitarian crisis in Muslim countries and the general attitude to them is one of shoulder shrugging. Israelis look, act and sound more western and so the public find far more empathy. Same with the public reaction to Ukraine versus, say, Syria. I'll estimate now that by the time this is done, the number of Palestinian civilians killed will be in the thousands if not tens of thousands and the media and western world won't bat an eyelid.

Can't wait to hear Sunak, Biden, the EU, The BBC, ITV, Sky express their sadness at the needless murder of thousands upon thousands of Palestinian civilians in a weeks time and talk of standing in Solidarity with the Palestinian Government against the brutal terrorist and war-crime acts of Israelis. Oh wait, just a weird dream I had. Though obviously, according to the media today, there won't be any civilian Palestinian casualties because they are all Hamas. Totally indistinguishable. And even though in the last few days 600+ Palestinians have been killed (to add to the many many thousands over previous decades) and everybody is fist-bumping and cheering at the idea of starving many thousands more to death whilst committing war crimes by collective punishment, cutting off their means of communication, electricity and clean water supply it won't matter because they are all Muslims, sorry Hamas, sorry brown, sorry erm, yeah terrorists or not actually human or whatever...

Still struggling

Getting to and from town if you live in South Leicester is an absolute ****ing joke these days to be honest. Constant streams of never ending roadworks, year on year, seemingly in the same places were they were the year before. Constantly digging up South Wigston and Saffron Lane, Aylestone Road is gridlock ever since the knew bus lane, and with both of those being rammo everyone heads to Welford road and jams that up to. Most days it takes me over an hour to get to and from the City Centre to Wigston on the bus. Its a 4 mile journey. No 4 mile journey should ever take an hour as standard. I don't know what the answer is but the roads are no longer fit for purpose with the amount of traffic they are expected to carry.

Doesn't matter how you play in the Championship. 99.9% of teams will struggle when promoted to the Premier League. I think in this instance, we win the League, Enzo has the greatest Summer Transfer window in the history of the club and we finish next season somewhere between 11th and 7th.
