Maddison has done well this season, right up there with the number of Premier League goal involvements over the season. Three English names above him - Kane, Bowen, and Mount. That should be enough to get him into the England squad at the very least, he’s been far more productive than many other English attacking players. However, Southgate has his favourites and I’d be very surprised if he gets into the squad this summer.

That second goal is not Rodger’s fault guys. That’s an individual error. We were playing decent stuff. I have a feeling lack of recruitment is not (entirely) Rodger’s fault either. I do fear for us for the rest of the season though, injuries have crippled us

If he’s wary of getting injured he’ll pull out of tackles and not put his body in a place where it might get hurt. Not saying players should be kamikaze in the way they play, but if he holds back (due to his mentality) he won’t be an effective defender. I wonder if this is the issue

We did - BR even said we were more “old school” with our man to man marking system for corners. On todays evidence we should continue that way and see how we get on for the next few games as the zonal marking system clearly wasn’t working

A much needed win. What a performance by the lads, and what a goal by Lookman!! Just thought I’d put things into perspective… we just kept a clean sheet against Liverpool, we’re 9th in the league, and this is despite a huge injury list and some admittedly poor performances. I know we’re having a “bad season” and we’re out of the Europa League and League Cup, but we need to prioritise the league and we’re still only 5 points away from a top 6 place…
