  1. I'm another who is keen to see if Musa can be a useful forward player for us this season? I would be tempted to start with both of the Nigerian forwards and then bring on JV later depending on how the game is going. Advantage being that both KI and AM are used to playing together and can be effective. Also as JV is not getting any younger he would be able to use his speed when he came on. I know this will not happen and I am only playing Devils Advocate here but it would be the best way to utilise Musa perhaps?
  2. RM wants a move he does not want to play for City next season. He will most likely do a repeat of his behaviour of last January if he is not allowed to move thus damaging team morale. In my opinion his behaviour of last January cost the club a place in Europe. Furthermore his value is declining simply due to his remaining length of contract diminishing. Ultimately he could walk away in 2020 for nothing! The club are doing the right thing. Get rid of him and build a team and squad who want to play for the team. Yes RM was amazing in 2015 but his play attitude and behaviour since have left a lot to be desired. A wasting asset and needs to go.
  3. Yes Yes Yes been saying for a long time that he would be a good player for City. Fast feet, intelligent and hard working.
  4. Dyche if he could be persuaded to move from Burnley. At any rate we need a manager who will stand up to the players.
  5. The match was frustrating. Chelsea where not that good and should have been beaten but a lack of play making and awful defensive errors cost City. Odd performance that seemed to lack passion for a lot of the match? Too much sideways and backward passing of the ball. RM wasteful time after time in terms of giving possession away. For me the match and City's attitude contrasted sharply with that of Motherwell against Celtic. Having a player unfairly sent off after half an hour the Motherwell side defended superbly against a better Celtic side. Managing a great 0-0. City need some of that attitude. They are too civilised looking under CP.
  6. Willie Carlin 1970-71 made 31 appearances for City. Watched him one cold evening when City played Hull at the old Boothferry Park. Superbly talented although only 5 feet 4 inches. Would have been a hit in today's side!
  7. Gave the ball away in dangerous positions endlessly. Playing out from the back is fine against an average side but not against these opponents. If you are under pressure and can't find a team mate you boot it up-field at least give your side time to regroup. Sometimes you have to use basic no nonsense defending. Too many players under-performed and the half time substitution was baffling.
  8. Mahrez obviously does not care at all for the club, the owners or the fans. He is in breach of his Contract of Employment and has already cost the side points by his behaviour. I would like to see the owners sue him for Breach of Contract and, if necessary, retain his registration until his contract expires. That unless an acceptable offer comes in for him. It is not down to Mahrez or his agent so say what they think is an acceptable value for him. That is down to the Leicester City owners. He is acting like a spoilt kid who did not get his own way. Totally unprofessional.
  9. Certainly a release clause would, perhaps, make the amount required clear for all parties. However given that Mahrez is currently in breach of his contract there needs to be a date agreed, before which he comes back to the club, and performs the duties he agreed to in his contract of last year. Should he not do this then I really feel that he needs to be warmed that the club can keep his registration and not transfer him until the end of his contract. Of course that has financial implications for the owners but it has massive implications for his future as well. Even if he does return to train and play there is no guarantee that he is going to give 100 per cent and might well not do this?
  10. I could not stand the stupid comments from Savage any longer last night and retuned the match with a Spanish commentary. Was not a problem that I could not understand a word - they were so much better than the commentators on BT and Sky for that matter!!
  11. The mass media have long ago stopped reporting the "truth" or giving a fair balanced two sides of a situation. This applies to sport as well as to politics. They present lies as truth and one side of an opinion as the only side. Beneath contempt most of them.
  12. Almost impossible to rate the strikers at the moment as the service to them is so poor. That desperately needs to change. The strikers have not become bad players but the midfield are not creating anything for them. Perhaps we need a younger mobile player to play in front of the back four plus a withdrawn second striker to link midfield with a lone striker for away games? Play a 4-1-3-1-1?
