from what (limited viewing) I have seen of the above I'd be reasonably confident in most of these, as backup players, the forwards would be a huge gamble however its not the worst place for us to be in though, and would be hugely beneficial if even half of that list worked out as viable 1st team options next season

if we had any sense as a club (!) we'd be trying maximise our academy players, even if we know perhaps there not good enough to play for our first XI, work to maximise their resale value. KDH only got in by accident I am convinced (totally deserved it on talent - I mean there was no obvious plan) Instead we bizarrely do the most not to give any of these guys from the academy a chance, look at Nelson FFS. good chance he doesnt sign a new contract now. ****ing divs in charge.

I'm hoping big Harry will come back and be a useful member of the first 11 however is this possibly the most extreme example of 'injured player gets better when not playing' we've seen for a while

yeah of course, don't get me wrong, Abdul is great. We're in the shit and this isn't gonna be a one season fix. Sign JJ up (for a modest fee?) and that's part of the spine that gets us out of the shit I think we have to cash in on someone, and Fatawu is the likely suspect.

I know this isn't the question, or therefore the answer - but I'd straight up swap James for Fatawu all day long

if we can buy JJ and sign Nelson up to a long term deal, i would feel a great deal better about our long term prospects
