  1. Ha! Accepted
  2. He'd be mental to join us permanently. Obviously I hope he does, but would be no hard feelings for me if he goes to a club who actually look on the up. He's a terrific player and the best we have by miles.
  3. I'll boycott, happy to do so. Just like I have since the Ipswich game. Because I'm having a far better time watching the Ashes in Australia than watch this pathetic mess stumble to another defeat.
  4. What does this look like, genuinely? Staying in the league?
  5. It would be very obvious that if they employed this utter clown they haven't got two brain cells to rub together.
  6. Happily let him go. He's a great player in a side that does well, but in a backs to the wall relegation battle he's crap. And that's what we're in. Too busy shouting at other people for not being as good as him than to get his sleeves rolled up and defend.
  7. Anyone from the forum there today, by the way? Saw a couple of Leicester tops kicking about!
  8. Phenomenal win! Shame we weren't playing for the Ashes, but to be there on days 1 & 2 and see our first win in 14 years in Australia was an absolute pleasure.
  9. Jesus wept, when I bought tickets for days 1 & 2 of this match I did not expect to see a result. Skittle them for 152 and then bat like that? Pathetic.
  10. Was it Everton who had a material uncertainty relating to going concern a few years ago? Wouldn't be surprised if we ended up in the same boat. Would love to be a fly on the wall during those conversations.
  11. So you keep saying. We got 15m for Ahmed Musa. What's your point?
  12. What planet do you live on? 10m for the three is more likely and even that's optimistic.
  13. This was the publicised attendance but, looking at the highlight footage, no chance there's 28k in last night. In fairness, people are entitled to do what they want if they've paid for a ticket. It would be good if it were more toxic, but I just can't see it getting like that - we don't have a supporter base that fanatic and, if we're honest, never have. You can shout all you like about it on an Internet forum (which I'll point out represents a tiny minority of our fanbase), it ain't gonna make a difference. I didn't use my season ticket last night and can see that being a regular occurrence moving fowards. I'd like to say it's a boycott protest but honestly, it's because I can't be arsed, have better things to do with my time and don't really give a toss anymore.
  14. Elvis Hammond, hand over your trophy.
  15. Darren Fletcher Jonny Evans
  16. That appeared to be heading for the back of the net. How is that any different to the one given against Tarkowski at Leeds?
  17. Came here to say exactly this. Regularly palms it straight back into the 6 yard box, has already cost us a couple of goals.
  18. Pound shop Ayoze Perez.
  19. Oh 100%, better being in a slightly quicker wave going slower than a slower wave going quicker. A lot of people in green and orange who had fibbed about their predicted times I think. A learning for next time.
  20. Was bloody tough, wasn't it. A lot of long, steady inclines (7-8km, 18km in particular) but I feel it almost balanced itself out with some nice downhill stretches too. Tbh, I really did myself over by being in the last wave. Was constantly weaving amongst people at 2.30+ pace which was bloody exhausting, was a bit poor when people in pink wave were walking after 1.5km.
  21. Great North Run boxed off today - superb event and would recommend to anyone lucky enough to get a ballot place. Managed a 1:55:51 - chuffed with that given I've never previously done a half and was aiming for anything under 2. Time for a beer and a lie down.
  22. No one going on to make a big score after some very solid platforms is disappointing. Again, felt like a lot operating in t20 mode and not seeing the bigger picture. Great to see Archer on song with bat and ball.
  23. I'm afraid that's what happens when you relegate the domestic 50 over competition to nothing more than a 2nd XI tournament. Batsmen clearly have no idea how to pace an innings and bowlers no idea how to bowl a good ODI spell (which is still more about strong lines and lengths than variations). Feel sorry for those who went. Tickets aren't cheap and that was an appalling spectacle.
  24. I don't think anyone said it was a horrendous performance, did they?
