  1. I would rather have him than 75% of the rest of the shower, many who were lauded on here as world beaters until this season. Give me a player who lacks some ability but gives 100% and never hides over so called quality players downing tools and lacking any fight.
  2. Not a chance we spend anywhere near that amount.
  3. Tielemans should have been nowhere near our first 11 this season with his performances so why would he be a good signing for Villa. Barnes is a different matter.
  4. Sorry just don’t agree.Amazing what De Zerbi did with the same players.Brighton we’re easy on the eye with Potter but just could never score enough goals. Genuinely not sure who I want but it’s not Potter.
  5. Think that is incredibly harsh on Smith. He picked up an utter basket case that had forgotten how to win and with some horrible fixtures to come.If he had been appointed in the international break before the Palace match I am convinced we would have stayed up.
  6. His period of being dog muck far outlasted his peak periods. Will always be remembered for that moment but what a let down in general. You are starting to sound like your mate Brendan with this over achieving nonsense.
  7. He wasn’t great for us for a lot longer than this season, you are looking through rose tinted glasses. Has stunk the place out for a long time.
  8. Just thought exactly the same thing as I looked at the results, what a load of nonsense.
  9. Worked alongside a lot of very senior leaders in my career and an awful lot can’t adapt and possibly like Top ended in the role by default so to speak. For a lot,if it’s not in them to be ruthless and make tough decisions then it’s just not there. He has had plenty of time to adapt and make these decisions and has been sadly found wanting. The worst decisions you can make are usually no decisions at all which is exactly what he did with Rodgers until it was literally unavoidable. There was so many occasions in the last 18 months when it was very clear a tough decision had to be made but misplaced loyalty was stronger than any perceived ruthlessness. Personally I think he is probably a really nice guy who lacks the balls, there is nothing wrong with that of course unless you are thrust into a position where you need balls.
  10. Top runs a massive business empire, why would relegation of his football team suddenly make him more ruthless and cut throat. You either have the balls or you don’t when it comes to the big decisions.
  11. Think you are being very optimistic in the extreme on some of those transfer fees and a bit negative on others.Would be astonished if we only got £65m for Maddison and Barnes combined. However that would not be as surprising as getting £15m for the imposter who is parading as N’didi or £15m for Soumare. Also will get nothing for Mendy he is out of contract.
  12. And where exactly did you see the team?
  13. Spot on, well put.
  14. He was rubbish against Wolves, bang average even when we hammered Spurs and would you like me to list all the games it didn’t work in? His last good game happened to be his first game.
  15. If we get £15m for Timmy we have had a blinder, he has been mediocre at best for a long time and surprised he hasn’t copped more flak.
  16. What scares me is we are a few days away from needing a new manager urgently for a massive challenge and I really don’t have a scooby doo who we should go for. I go from thinking it would be great to go left field and get an up and coming manager then to looking at the mammoth job on and thinking we need an experienced hand to stabilise us for a season and ensure we don’t have another calamitous season.
  17. No, no and definitely no.
  18. Really, how many times have you been wrong this season, either about results or players 😂
  19. Don’t do it to yourself.
  20. Think you will find he has just taken a job.
  21. I don’t think you will find it is that simple anymore.Really wish it was.
  22. Seems important enough to you to keep posting your tripe.
  23. Clearly spoken by someone who did absolutely nothing. Some of us actually made an effort to demonstrate/ voice our concerns. My first effort was Palace at home at the end of the game when as I have said many times on here I got seriously abused by those who obviously thought there was nothing to worry about.I am convinced a lot on here who make comments like yourself don’t actually stump up their hard earned cash for a season ticket. It’s easy not to complain when you are not going down to watch complete dross every other week but sitting in your armchairs. This forum is about debate, who is to say how things would have turned out if the majority in the ground had found their voice and shown discontent earlier and I think this is a key point.
