For example, we could potentially sign players worth £250 million total, each on 5-year contracts, spreading the cost across the contract period for PSR compliance. Obv £250 million is very unrealistic, but that’s kind of how it works, right?

We need to take drastic defensive measures at the back as soon as the January window opens—no delays. Using RVN’s contacts, we should move quickly to get Lindelof on the cheap since his contract is almost up. Try Loan Maguire for a fee and send Edouard back and invest in a solid right-back. This way, we’d have a centre-back partnership that’s already played 70-80 games together, while also strengthening our defensive line with experienced players. It’s time to make serious changes. I dont think we can afford to chance a young centre back now and try get them to bond with an existing player, for every Fofana you get an Okoli.

Absolutely 99% certain on this. We signed Ward for 10 Million as backup to Kasper and there was a clause to say we owe him a bonus every time hes not on named on the bench. Hence multiple times naming 2 keepers on bench. Club cant afford not to name him.
