  1. Ain't the same without The Blossoms singing songs by The Smiths. Put Hootnanny on!
  2. Happy New Year, you beautiful bastard Technically, it's 2024 everywhere according to the center of time! Greenwich is a shithole though
  3. Come a long way since Superbad.
  4. My phone won't let me upload pictures for some reason, but Emma Stone looks wonderful on the Graham Norton Show tonight. Legs for days...
  5. It's always like one of those: Would you prefer England to win the World Cup or your team to win the league? People answer it seriously like only one could ever happen
  6. Like I said, we had a decade of utter dross, but I don't believe we'd be where we are without Little. He made us believe what was possible. And looking back, with hindsight, I can't blame Little or O'Neill for going. Boyhood clubs. Easy to say as a middle aged man, much harder to take at the time. But, we had the last laugh, didn't work out that perfectly for them. It's still raw that Brendan took us down, but see where we are in 3/5 years... The club is always bigger than any man.
  7. I'm 44 years old. I started watching us under David Pleat. For me, and I'd guess anyone around my age, Little gave us hope. He turned us from the brink of the old division 3 to almost taking us to the promised land. Arguably the man that started it. Even though we had over a decade of shite in the noughties.
  8. I think, given time, Brendan might be remembered fondly. The FA Cup really was our holy grail. And we fvcked up the big clubs for 2 years. If it wasn't for Covid, I genuinely think we'd have made the top 4, qualified for the Champs League and taken the club to the next level. A real sliding doors moment. I still don't think he'll be as fondly remembered as Little, O'Neill, Pearson and Ranieri though. Even though he achieved more than 3 of those and two of them jumped ship.
  9. Maybe in time. Like when he's dead.
  10. Happy New Year everyone. Hope you and your families have a good one and achieve everything you desire. @Aus Fox, how is it? I need to know. Probably too late for us here, but I can warn @MPH and @Jattdogg
  11. Shite to be honest. Not even made the play-offs
  12. Ah man, I'm all out of Welsh. Even I won't insult you with the supposed microwave jibe! gan ddymuno'r gorau i chi ar gyfer y flwyddyn newydd I cheated on that one
  13. A speedy defender next to him would be ideal, but, I'd also like to think he's still learning and his football brain is getting better. There are loads of CB's, even world class one's, that turn slower than an oil tanker. It's their knowledge of the game and cleverness that means they're good.
  14. They know that the feeling is mutual, right? Everyone in the Championship would much prefer Bournemouth, Forest, Luton, Burnley, Sheffield United...
  15. Northamptonshire County Council is completely bankrupt, that's the reason there's a speed camera about every half mile on their stretch of the M1! I can get in the M6 at J19 and drive to Scotland encountering almost the same amount of speed cameras that I'd see from J14 to J16 on the M1.
  16. Diolch fy ffrind Love it when I'm in Wales with work. What an absolutely beautiful place. I also like reading the Welsh and English next to each other. I think my favourite is Gwesty, meaning hotel!
  17. We don't really need anyone that we have to 'guarantee' playing time to. We've blatantly already done that with Casadei. Nobody should be above working to earn a place.
  18. That's the form table for the last 17 games.
  19. Are you mental? We all know Brendan Rodgers has already got that gig.
  20. Giving up smoking was one of the best things I've ever done. Genuinely didn't think I'd be able to do it after almost 30 years of smoking, but I absolutely pissed it. I got a vape from B&M for about 6 quid, you don't need to spend a fortune, then slowly reduced nicotine strength. I was off the vape in less than 3 months too. I do sometimes just think 'I'd love a cigarette, or even a vape right now', but then realise it's been so long, I don't need it, I'd just be letting myself down and it passes in a matter of moments. Good luck to both of you
  21. 1. Grow an epic beard. 2. Try to get to more football matches. 3. Get more tattoos. I lead a simple life.
  22. His switch from 20 down to treble 19 is unreal. Misses the T20, then hits two T19's what seems like every time.
  23. That must be Luke Littler's sister that he hugs during his walk on, wearing the same same shirt as him. She's 7
  24. That was one of the freakiest things ever to happen. For all of those glory years, the basis of the squad was mainly home grown and came through the youth team. Yeah, they spent an absolute shit-load of money to maintain staying at the top, but players like that don't come through an academy within a few years of each other. It'll never happen again. In the late 90's/early 00's, there were probably another 20 players in the Premier League that came through that academy and were still making a decent living in the game at other clubs. Robbie Savage springs to mind.
  25. That Luke Littler interview didn't age well
