  1. I bought 8 Birra Moretti from the shop and they came off the shelf, not out of the fridge. The one I'm drinking is warm and the three I've put in the freezer won't be properly cold by the time I want to drink them. Next time, I'll stick to red wine as it doesn't need chilling.
  2. Depression is a shit, but there is a way out. It's not easy, but it gets better. I've mentioned before on a similar thread, I was falsely accused of rape, had a great wife and 2 kids, tore us apart. I contemplated suicide quite a lot, thankfully the police saw sense and I was exonerated. But my life was still in tatters. My mates stood by me and were very worried about me, I moved in with them as I had nowhere else to go. Found something I wanted to do and work towards, I've moved away and I'm trying to make something of myself. Got a brilliant new girlfriend and things are good. Still have shit days and get low, but the highs are more than the lows. I know it's not easy and I'm not gloating that things are good now, just telling you about a positive experience to show it can, and will, get better. Tell people, not just the doctor (which is important), but friends too. You'll be pleasantly surprised by their response. I wouldn't be here without my really good mates.
  3. That was yesterday, of course they'll focus on that. We dominated the papers the day after our game.
  4. It's even better with Spanish commentary. GOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOL GOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOLAZO!
  5. I had the rare chance of a ticket tonight, but couldn't go because I had to go to Luton v Trivia for my sports journalism degree. It's 50% of my final mark, so no way of getting out of it. I was sat next to the soccer special sky sports reporter, I was obviously streaming the match. Luton game was complete shit, when Vardy scored, I went mental in the press box...so did the sky reporter! He watched the whole game with me and thinks we're amazing! Gutted to miss it in the flesh though.
  6. You've never been to Braunstone have you? Cargo shorts are an aphrodisiac there. Responsible for half the national deficit in child benefit. DAMN YOU CARGO SHORTS!
  7. One of your best bets is going to Wetherspoons. A lot usually have 12 real ales on, over half of them will be guest ales, then they'll have Ruddles, Abbot, Doombar and London Pride on pretty much constantly. I like the strong, light in colour ales. See if you can get hold of some Jaipur. I think it's brewed by Thornridge or something? Lovely stuff.
  8. I'd describe him as a cult hero.
  9. Top bloke. Things like this that rarely get picked up in the press (I'm not suggesting for one moment he's doing this for publicity), it's always the bad stuff that lands footballers with a bad reputation. Restores the faith in players for me, he could be at home in his massive house not giving a shit. Well played, Benny.
  10. We go together like peas and carrots. http://www.independent.co.uk/sport/football/premier-league/claudio-ranieri-like-forrest-gump-leicester-can-run-all-the-way-to-the-title-a6784791.html
  11. I'll second that. Not a nice chap at all. Very arrogant and rude.

  13. Why's everyone moaning about not being live on sky? Whenever we do get a game televised, everyone bitches about how inconvenient it is that the kick off time/date has moved. Can't win.
  14. Get rid of the cheap polyester suit!
  15. And like others have said, drop me a pm if you ever need to. We don't know who are are, but we've been there too. Hate the thought of people feeling like that, wouldn't wish it on my worst enemy. You'll get there mate, it'll be worth it.
  16. That is pretty bloody freaky you mentioned journalism. I've always wanted to do that since I was a kid, so to move on and start again, I started uni last year studying journalism. I love it, best thing I ever did. I'm probably too old, but oh well. It definitely helped in sorting me out and turning things around. Suppose I'm trying to get at the fact you could do with trying to find something to work towards that'll make you happy and keep you occupied. There's no easy answer, unfortunately. It's got to be worked at. You'll still have bad days, there's nothing to be ashamed of if you have a little cry once in a while or lose it at the smallest thing. Don't push people away, I nearly did. Although you don't see it now, it can get better and it's bloody worth it when it does. If I did what I thought about doing in my darkest moments, I wouldn't be able to beam at the league table like I have been doing for about the last 48 hours!
  17. OK, a couple of things firstly. I'm no counsellor, but I've been in a similar situation in the last couple of years. You've also taken the first step by talking about it on here, which is good. Whatever you're comfortable with. I'm in my mid thirties and lost everything a couple of years ago. I'd moved away from Leicester and was living in a shitty little town that never felt like home. I hit the bottle pretty hard, but realised that was only making me worse because it's a depressive, just a very short term answer. Enough about me anyway, that's enough to depress anyone! So, how old are you? What sort of things are you into? What do you aspire to? Dream job, things you'd like to do in your free time if you were able to? What are your living circumstances and what would you ideally like them to be? I don't want to sound patronising, because I'm not. Just been there myself, as have a few of us by the looks of it. If you can identify some goals, a few people might have ideas and even help to get you there and stop you feeling like this.
  18. Is it one of the blondes? If so, hook a brother up!
  19. Can you imagine winning at Stamford Bridge on the final day of the season to win the league.....and relegate Chelsea? Sky would just talk about how Chelsea are going down, probably wouldn't even show the trophy presentation!
  20. Talk to your doctor, there's not such a taboo around depression and mental health issues like there used to be. We all get down, some worse than others. I've been there myself mate. Horrible divorce, kids involved too, allegations made about me to the police... couldn't see anything getting better. Fast forward a while and I've moved to a new area, met a cracking new bird and Leicester are top of the league. Basically, it'll get better, but get the help you need. However much you think you are, you're not alone. I had a few months on some tablets, doctor helped me out and a couple of mates showed me how much they cared.
  21. If we miraculously won the league, they'd manage to talk about the failings of the traditional top 4, rather than praising anyone else.
  22. Don't bother watching Sunday Supplement, Neil Ashton just tweeted this running order. Not a mention!
  23. Couple of stats....Vardy and Mahrez have scored more goals than 14 teams in the league. Since Fergie retired, Man Utd have spent 10 days at the top of the league. Leicester have been there for 12.
  24. A nice little piece in the Independent. http://www.independent.co.uk/sport/football/premier-league/leicester-s-success-seems-like-a-hollywood-film-and-is-great-box-office-for-the-league-a6761321.html
