We've been told most of the month it would likely be overseas loans which unless you're the pits at negotiating like us (see Edouard) shouldn't be too costly.

McAteer barely got a sniff at Forest Green Rovers in League Two. 6 months later he was starting in the Championship for us. We can debate individual cases but the culture at this club does not currently promote the confidence and belief of blooding academy players.

It's more than baffled me. This is a player at a good age, who has scored and performed in the Champions League and Europa League and whilst has progressed abroad will know what is required to succeed in England. Cannon's £4m profit is not the PSR deal we'd be needing to do, we'd brought him back to sell but were initially open to a loan with obligation on promotion so it can't have been for PSR. If we still need to sell for that reason it's going to require a big profit from a sale like Hermansen or Bilal.
