  1. Pretty relieved as I've been having to just type his first name as the surname ain't computing in my brain.
  2. You can't help wonder if this deal is easier to do that Bilal El Khannouss. Seems a superstar in the making.
  3. Last time we did this was Tielemans. I think it's a sign of the drop in wages we're offering players from the off. Probably only offering £35-40k rather than £60-70k off the bat.
  4. Yeah my memory is hazy, it was that week of that game followed by the semi final.
  5. There'll have been fans on here trying to defend Puel when he tried to phase Vardy out too. Absolute pony Ben.
  6. Three defensive midfielders on the bench. Nelson and Alves nowhere to be seen. That's disappointing. Let's get them out on loan please.
  7. Doesn't mean Mavididi was a main striker when Wahi wasn't there. Prior to Wahi it was Laborde and Delort. Here's the stats of his appearances as a striker at Montpellier. Played about a 5th of games there.
  8. No he wasn't, that as Elye Wahi. Pretty sure Mavididi only ever played occasionally through the middle and nearly all his goals and assists have come when played as a winger.
  9. It would be extremely important for Cooper's career here to get an early away win. His record at Forest in the Premier League was utterly vile. He will be aware of that and hopefully has learnt from it.
  10. @ramadaone @Holly B any news on Braybrooke and Alves loans? Both surely need to go and play.
  11. Evans and Monga in the U21s then?
  12. Looks like his agent is family set up. On one hand it's surprising we have agreed terms with them but then maybe that's in the hope another club come in and can set up a bidding war on wages. This is a huge next move for player and family. Oh god
  13. I think it was more that the club pleaded with the players to behave in the lead up to the FA Cup semi final and a crucial period of the season and yet some of them still went out and got arseholed.
  14. It's very subjective though. Tielemans and Iheanacho single handedly dragged us to an FA Cup final with their performances in the QF and semis and then in the final, don't need to say anything. That was against a backdrop of Maddison and others having that covid party and could have massively derailed our FA Cup win, our 2nd biggest ever achievement. I think Maddison went on to be a great player for us and I hold no animosity towards him. Will always have a soft spot for him for sure but I get why others don't and why some think Tielemans ruined his legacy here.
  15. Roll another phat one Jon
  16. You could argue none of our signings this summer improve what we already have either so it's no different. Do those players improve their XI given they were only a point behind us last season anf we've list 26 goals from our team?
  17. I feel like I'm lobbing a sausage down Gallowtree Gate with my moaning. 100% agree. I don't think fans realise the diminishing squad value we have and how perilous that is for a club that finds it difficult to sell anyone other than the very best occasionally. The strategy at this club hasn't had the reset we were all hoping for.
  18. Already have loads of PL experience as well and collected some last summer too. Absolutely bizarre.
  19. A similar role to he did at Palace is about 30 starts this season then. Christ.
  20. Reid turned down a new deal at Fulham
  21. I'll say it again too, our record of purchasing players with Premier League experience has been just as wasteful.
  22. I think Mavididi is sadly one of those players that has to play through poor form to get out of it, not sure he has the mentality to be in and out the team but I hope I'm wrong.
  23. Is it though. Why would Ayew miss out on huge wealth from the middle east or stay put at Palace where he'd play regularly to coming here to be a fringe player. It's wishful thinking to fans who want to make themselves feel better about this deal. The same can be said for Reid. He turned down a new deal at Fulham to come here.
  24. Which is absolutely mental given he is one of very few goalscorers in this squad. Cooper is making it very easy to absolutely detest him
  25. Our recruitment was better last summer. I do not understand the strategy this summer, it makes no sense. It's not as if some of the punts we took last summer haven't paid off, at least 3 of them look PL clas in Fatawu, Hermansen and Mavididi. So upsetting
