Didn't Braybrooke sign a 5 year deal not long before/after he did his ACL in Jnauary 2023? Alves I think is up next summer though which is a big concern. -

Astonishing -
Yeah he pulled off some great saves. We were crap if I recall, was a properly turgid game. In fact the entire 2 legs were extremely nervy and tight.
-
Reminded me of our game at home vs Stoke in the 1st leg in May 1996.

Tricky one because there's players at West Brom and Norwich who'd be more attainable for us if they stayed down but I despise Leeds and detest Brussell Martin so here we are.

Really hope so mate, there's nothing better than seeing players come through the academy and make an impact. -
And Olympiakos

Who do you want for next season in the PL

One of those players we've been linked with a few times over the years but then when they are available o a free we'll be nowhere. -
What will clubs do with all the revenue they generate if they can't spend it?

What's been promising with Alves this season despite the set backs, is almost every U21 appearance has seen him score or assist in. He wasn't as dominant in that regard prior to his ACL despite the obvious potential. I think he'll get a loan move to a promotion chasing League One side and rip it up. -
Any changes cannot alter past transgressions. I know there's likely pressure from the outside to protect the juggernaut wealth and popularity of the Premier League, which might be jeopardised by heavily sanctioning Chelsea and Man City but for the integrity of the game they're going to have to.

Leicester 'could face points deduction next season'
Ric Flair replied to ClaphamFox's topic in Leicester City Forum
It's indefensible. Giving him a new contract just 6 months in to him being here is one thing and I understand why we did and even the salary increase but the rest of his contract due in full in the year of sacking (if that's what we are to believe) is absolutely insane. -

Considering our average wage was £94k a week I find that hard to believe. -

Would be classic Leicester to continue the trait of signing strikers that are better in a front two than as a lone striker and then never deploy that system -

" backing a manager a bit too long " was quite possibly because we signed off on an obscene £40-50m contract that entitled him to the remainder in full in the year in which he would be sacked. If that is what's happened it's not just a cock up but one of the most reckless and atrocious business decisions in football I've ever ever seen. Our compliance with PSR was a disaster waiting to happen. -

Still think we'll be up against it to only spend 85% of turnover on wages, transfer fees, agent fees etc but hopefully do-able whilst being able to have a crack at being competitive in the PL. Our scouting needs to change direction, we saw signs last summer and it needs to sharpen further and further afield where the value is. -

It's been reported from multiple sources that the majority of the squad had relegation wage cuts of 30-40% -
Almost every club bar us takes advantage of the free transfer market each season.

Pointless unless we move Souttar on without losing money. I'd rather Ben Nelson play the back up role if it were between him or Lindsay. Lindsay's passing stats are utterly revolting, although some of that will be down to the tactics Preston play.

The sort we should have signed last summer for £1-2m. I'd flagged him back then too, in fact we both did I think.
