  1. Mavididi 1st goal at the KP incoming
  2. Player of the season so far IMO, closely followed by Winks and McAteer. So many of them performing brilliantly but Ndidi's fitness levels and how he's taken to a completely alien position has been remarkable. Drop down in class granted, but still immense to see. He was head and shoulders our best player today.
  3. That's his weakness, doesn't have the conviction to shoot on sight. Hopefully they'll push him to do so as he's technically brilliant.
  4. I thought he was decent vs Huddersfield and Burton, not so great against Cardiff but got the goal and then McAteer came back and has proven to be very efficient. Maresca has still name checked Wanya that he's still very much in his plans and that will now be the case. He'll be on the bench and will get opportunities over the next month.
  5. Huge chance again now for Wanya. He took his chance when Kasey was out after the Cov game, now he will get the chance again.
  6. Vs Stoke in the FA Cup?
  7. Much better from him today.
  8. Best player in the league right now, phenomenal
  9. McAteer can find himself very unlucky not to start, but I do think that is our strongest XI at present. Fatawu causes so much danger, let's hope he gets his 1st goal or assist today. Come on you Peach (Blue) Boys!!!
  10. Dreamt Ndidi got a straight red after 2 mins and we had to salvage a draw. IN TO UM EARLY LEICESTER (but don't get sent off)
  11. Be nice to look remotely threatening from a corner or free kick this season. Another regime that have zero ability to teach this side how to score from corners and free kicks. I think we'll win 2-1 Vardy brace
  12. We will win 12 nil tomorrow
  13. Hasn't this happened a lot this season? Diabolical
  14. Not heard of Diallo or Sutherington
  15. Silko Thomas has started pretty well for us! That's 3 goals and an assist already I think? Also, not quite sure why Reece Evans hasn't been involved recently.
  16. A front 3 of Mavididi McAteer Fatawu with KDH and Yunus behind is a madness.
  17. What struck me more than anything last night is, there was not an ounce of negativity or fear from us. The difference between having a philosophy like this vs a manager who proclaimed to play attacking football (and did at times) but seemed to inject doubt and a sense of containment in his teams play. I know this could all change and who knows what happens week in, week out if we get back up next season but I see an identity here that the players 100% support and there's no environment to go in to your shell.
  18. I know what you're saying, certainly on Hermansen. Hamza is excellent at moving the ball on, what Winks does in that deep role is less win the ball, but receive it and either get it forward or take it forward. Its important with the mix of players around him. If Hamza plays that DCM role then you need runners closer to him to create the space.
  19. I know we've seen this before (early part of Rodgers tenure) where almost the entire squad could drop in and look good, but Hamza has massively impressed me this season. I've concerns what on earth we're still paying him but Maresca seems to be able to get exactly what he wants from Hamza and Ndidi in all manner of roles.
  20. I can't reconcile this though. We had players or people close to the player publicly state they wanted to leave and yet Maresca involved them. Souttar also could have had at least an extra week off, if not longer, after his summer international duty with Australia. Yet he was there on the 1st day of pre-season and Maresca's first day. I maybe wrong, but I think he was the only player who came back earlier than they were due to. That would be surprising for a player considering his options or definitely wanting out. That said Kristiansen was one of the few players who went on record saying he was committed to getting us back up and then very quickly something changed. Probably more the system Maresca was implementing but the who wanted to leave/who wanted to stay theories are quite ambiguous to me.
  21. I'd be staggered if Maresca continued to play a player free wheeling like that, certainly not after Xmas anyway. I also think Daka might have a real point to prove in the coming weeks and there's absolutely no place for half arsed performances and getting away with it, like Brendan fostered.
  22. The way this lot come and attack and keep attacking even when 2 or 3 goals down, will be interesting.
  23. Wok the ball better, switched the play on the counter a few times but since the international break he's seemed to look lost on the pitch and slow. He'd looked much more engaged and instrumental at being involved higher up the pitch prior to that. Rotherham away especially he'd been brilliant when he came on. Early days but it's easy to see why he's dropping in and out at the min.
  24. Liverpool had so many chances but we defended very well. Some hair raising moments playing put from the back, largely from Stolarczyk. However, we weren't ruthless enough in the final 20 mins when we had 2 or 3 chances to claw it back to 2-2. Our set pieces are fcukin pointless at the minute too, need to improve in that regard. I thought 1st half Hamza, Souttar, McAteer, Coady and Yunus were impressive. 2nd half defended resolutely from Souttar and Coady but it was difficult to get any momentum. I rated Yunus non stop attitude though and was our most dangerous player at getting the ball on the counter out wide or through to the extremely poor Iheanacho.
  25. Not good enough on the ball? That ball in to Ricardo 1st half was incredible. Let's see what he's like against standard Championship opposition, I suspect his passing range will stand up more than just fine. Good performance tonight, likewise Coady.
