I've just used chatgpt and I was wrong anyway. The EFL can and will give points deductions if a club has previously been sanctioned and then are under a business plan. So we could be perilously close to being part of that depending on how 23/24 supposed breach is recognised.

You don't get points deductions for a season that hasn't yet finished. But if the plan doesn't show evidence of how you'd compky thrn a transfer embargo is likely to be put in place.

The biggest concern for me, is not how revolting we have been this season but the amount of niggly injuries already is a big red flag.

The lack of communication is very deliberate and that for me is unforgivable. I would apportion a lot of blame and criticism on both our ownership and those they trust to run the club at board and director level but even for those sympathetic of fans who put all of this down to bad luck and it being unfair, the complete disregard for for our fanbase is plain to see. You'd be pretty miffed if McAteer was your replacement for Hutchinson but maybe they're going to bring a couple of players in. They got £10m for Broadhead who plays wide left so i'd hope they've earmarked a similar fee to pay for Kasey. £10m profit is the equivalent of us selling Bilal for £25m

WHEN'S THE PRESSER?

I really hope we get it right with Evans. I know he's not done much in pre-season and there's the possibility he isn't yet ready to play Championship football but I also don't see any point in him playing U21s in order to get " ready " for the 1st team. Last season he proved to be the best 16 year old in U21s in recent times and so what else does he and us gain from keeping him there. I wonder if a loan to League One on the proviso he signs a new deal with a recall option for January where he might then get in our 1st team. I'd personally rather see him in the squad now. I'm not convinced he's an out and out striker but he'd be part of a dynamic front four that interchange as he's comfortable playing any of the LW, 10, RW and 9 roles.

Would love to hear his story, think there'd be a fair amount of subjectivity to it but it was at a time where some broken promises were being rumoured to have happened with lack of loan moves and first team pathway for players.
