And even if we have a heinously inactive recruitment department, we've a manager with serious experience from there. He brought through Erabi for example. So frustrating. I absolutely detest the way we are ran.

Bilal El Khannouss (Stuttgart loan, official)

Unfortunately that's the same for the buying club to buy them now as it is next summer, except it's £5m each season over 6 years on their books rather than £6m for 5 years. -
We have no recruitment and scouting strategy, i'd go as far as saying we are behind almost every club in this league. Imagine employing a manager with extensive experience of the three main Scandinavian leagues and then seeing bargain after bargain join our rivals. Pathetic

I forgot just how much Mavididi pissed this lot off, he also scored 3 times against them in 23/24 which went a long way to relegating them. It's this sort of stuff Stephy can be ruthless at, but equally other hostile times (such as Cov away) where immediately he was off it and seemed to shrink. -

Around 37 mins onwards is when Lee is on the pod. Thanks for sticking the link up for @Wymsey -
I was laughed at but Alfie Devine would have been a realistic signing for us as a El Khannouss replacement. He's since gone on loan to Preston, which we have been on the receiving end of already.

Depends, if we are happy we can comply with PSR for the year then we could agree to a loan with obligation. We then bank the profit next year but we'd be paying his £5m book value this year, offset by saving on his wages but being a player down. The loan fee might cover that too. We need incomings though and it seems we've only just got ourselves in a position we aren't in serious financial bother, so a permanent deal this window must be preferable. -
Cifuentes brought through Erabi at Hammarby. Not quite hit the heights he perhaps was thought to and is in and out of their team currently but he's still regarded as a player who will get better.
-
That's annoying. Very good replacement for Faes or Okoli.

This will get unsavoury in the final days of the window. Annoyingly we're going to not only be without him vs Birmingham but not yet have sold him and got an adequate replacement in. Friday will be horrible viewing. -
Genuinely think we can afford to lose at least one more full back and he can come in and be good enough. He deserves a good amount of gametime this season, I hope he gets it.

Good grief
-
Jaden Heskey, I had a feeling we'd sign him this summer.
-
That is extremely worrisome. Does not look like the type of well rounded forward we desperately need. It's our achilles heel, not recruited a decent striker that's been a success here for over 11 years.
-
The player we should be going all out for is Jordan James at Rennes. Loan with an obligation to buy if we go up.
-
Was hoping for a more physical and powerful striker, but given his ability to play across both wings and up front I can see why we'd go for a utility striker.
-
He got 15 goal contributions in 22/23 which for a central midfielder (not a #10) then yes that is good. Don't think he was a penalty taker either? For the record i'm not particularly keen on seeing him here but his output has invariably improved and is a captain type player as well.

Not sure, one of those that has always divided opinion and had very sketchy form. Was he one like Kelechi that's goalscoring spree at the highest level was when there were no crowds? -
He had decent output for a central midfielder in 2022/23. Think it's a side to his game he's developed at this level having previously not been massively creative. He's evidently waiting for a big pay day, i'd only be interested if he badly misjudged it and was available for £30-35k a week on a 2 year deal.

Development/Youth Squads 2025/2026 Thread - U18/U21
Ric Flair replied to moore_94's topic in Leicester City Forum
Yes and was very prolific at U18 level last season. Surprising he hasn't yet gone up to the U21s. One who was stalling on a pro deal here. -
I'd heard he was coming here as part of the El Khannouss deal which seems to be up the Ron Swanson.

Are you up to date with your immunity to his drivel? I had my last dose two years ago ahead of the season but think it's worn off. Oh god. -

Alves should only be picked LW or RW at a push. If Mavididi is out still then Alves might be worth giving the nod ahead of Monga and look to bring him on with 30 to go or vice versa. I'm very surprised with Cifuentes use of Alves so far, I don't agree that #10 is his best position right now. -

I'm still not ruling out Leeds and Sunderland coming in for him. My worry is we then agree to taking Bamford and Greenwood.
