  1. Not sure, managers tend to always have one or two hard working players like this to call upon. If he chips in with 6-7 this season like he did two years ago we might actually benefit from that more so given we're going to struggle for goals.
  2. DEEEEEENEEEEEEEY
  3. Yes the other thing I failed to mention is his personality. Every time I hear him speak and watch his demeanour he is a lovely lad, no ego.
  4. I genuinely love the Championship. Ask me again if we have a period of being the absolute pits this season or we stay here for a few years but until then it's exciting aaaaiiinnn't it
  5. What away games would we actually ever wear this? Suppose we could just opt to use it against home teams who play in red.
  6. He's a fascinating player is McAteer. I spend 90% of the time thinking he is nowhere near good enough at either PL or Championship level but there's two traits that explain why managers may use him. 1) he has the knack of getting in to good positions to score (questionable at actually finishing/providing after though) and 2) there's a robustness to him and good energy. It really isn't enough in my opinion to be ahead of some of the other academy players we've got waiting patiently for opportunities he's had and if we are going to keep using him then I think he needs to be tried as an 8 or even as a striker. It's probably naive to think he'd be good enough to play either of those roles as well as what we aspire for players in those positions that we are currently missing but circumstance may require it. As I say, the amount of chances he gets could make him an unlikely striker, even if he only finishes 1 in 3 or 4 of them would be better than our other options. Should have taken the loan with obligation of £10m from Sunderland but hey ho.
  7. Started following us on social media, Leicester that is, not me.
  8. Funnily enough looking at clips of him he looks as slow as Casadei but maybe i'm mistaken.
  9. The scene of the last decent thing to happen to this football club in April 2024. Wonder if the atmosphere will be similar tomorrow 😂
  10. Yeah agreed, need them gone and if he moves one of Faes or Vestergaard on and Soumare then i'll attend the next board meeting at my gaff in a tracksuit with RF on it
  11. Less said about that the better, still an absolute abomination on incomings in the last two years
  12. That's genuinely phenomenal
  13. I can't ignore this you know. Got a manager with extensive experience in Scandinavian leagues and also a fellow compatriot of the manager of Man City, both idols of Johan Cruyff. We are crying out for a left footed attacking midfielder (a transfer target as reported by Tom Collomosse) and he's going Middlesborough? Not having it.
  14. If we sell Hamza and Justin then it's actually been a productive 2025 in terms of selling fringe players/ players running their contracts down and i'l be happy to acknowledge that. Cannon £10m Ndidi £9.5m Coady £2m Justin £9m (rumoured fee) Hamza £?? Rudkin doing bits at last
  15. I still don't see that working as we don't have a midfield destroyer to play the defensive midfield role on his own with two 8's.
  16. Bilal replacement? Whilst we absolutely have room for another creative midfielder, if we are adding to existing players then a more robust central midfielder is surely the priority, likewise striker.
  17. I'd sell for anything above £2.5m
  18. Not sure if West Ham would let us have Freddie Potts on loan for the season but he'd be a good central midfielder for what we need. And then team Fatawu back up with Chermiti on loan from Everton. Both were at Sporting together. He's in theory the type of striker we need, 6ft 3 and quick.
  19. Bit of an all rounder. High energy, can tackle and create. Quite tall too so the sort of midfielder that we would benefit from.

    Daka

I am flabbergasted what's happened to Daka, he evidently isn't as good as the footballing world anticipated him to be but something has happened to him here that does not reflect his capabilities, certainly at this level. His prowess in Austria, albeit in a inferior league but one which has produced many great players with less impressive output than Daka had there, but it was always in a front two in a 4-2-2-2 system which seldom few clubs play. Think back to his first season here, his best play was either alongside Iheanacho in a 3-4-1-2, or the midfield diamond. I also remember him being electric alongside Vardy in the quarter final vs Liverpool where he created both his goals. With only having two players who resemble strikers on our books, going two up top is quite possibly folly to consider but do we ever play to his strengths? Hopefully he gets a few goals and goes on a spree, he did for a short while two years ago before confidence evaporated after the disruption of AFCON.
  21. Maybe so, there's probably a reason he's not been deployed through the middle here yet even though he did on occasion play there for Montpellier in Ligue 1. I just see flaws with Ayew and Daka and i'm unconvinced we sign another striker.
  22. We'll end up with Ianis Hagi on a free to replace Bilal
  23. Frightening, Middlesborough are desperate as well.
  24. In principle I 100% agree but we are reaching a point now that we'd just leave no time to get any replacements given how we tend to operate. I think we could afford to lose a few more but we need a few in as well and i'm unnerved by the lack of media reports on what we're up to, it all points towards zero incomings.
  25. Mavididi as the false 9 with Monga and Fatawu either side of El Khannouss might well be our best option in some games once the season settles down. Think Monga right now is going to be an impact player but when he's got his rhythm then overall that could give us the most pace, power and energy.
