I expect to be skint this season. £76.50 for me and my boy to watch Villa is a lot of money.

I can’t do it mate. Drove from the airport to our resort and shit myself with constant people beeping their horn at me for no apparent reason. Set off this morning to drive to a water park and I had a panic attack. Had to get the wife to drive but I’m a worse wreck as a passenger. Think I’ve lost my confidence as a driver after that stupid cow reversed into me a few weeks ago

Mate it's only seven minutes a half. Even I could manage two games in the same day

Yet his name only scores 21 in Scrabble. I thought it would be higher tbh

Maybe so but I swear a stamp only cost about 50p a few years ago. I guess that's inflation for you

A first class stamp now costs £1.35

Seem to recall @The Bear posted some pics of his home simulator set up a while ago?

We've got a villa in a small seaside town called Fontaine Bianche which is about 10km from Syracuse on the south of the island. Completely the other side of Sicily to Palermo and a good 3 hour drive, so not sure if we'll do a day trip out there or not. I've left it to the wife and kids to decide what we do every day. I just want to get there in one piece and then relax....

Going Sicily on Wednesday for 11 nights. I hate the lead up to holidays and always end up with about 6 lists of things to pack/remember to do. Then there's the anxiety of if the taxi turns up on time, all the airport hassle, will my health be O.K, driving abroad etc. etc. I just find the whole thing very stressful.

Yeah, I have to set an alarm for an hour for an afternoon nap. I usually drop off straight away and sometimes wake up after 40-45 mins, but if I sleep in the day for more than an hour then I can't get to sleep later than night. I yearn for the nights when I could just sleep through 8 hours straight like normal people.

I hate getting up early and like The Bear, I'm up most nights needing the loo so never get a proper nights kip. The only way I can function these days is by having a 'cat nap' of between 45 mins-1 hour every afternoon. I'm lucky that I WFH and can schedule my work around it but if I miss it, I'm wrecked. If an afternoon Siesta is good enough for the Spanish then it's good enough for me

Yeah, me too! Although I had to be quite insistent that my car went to a Jag approved repairer. The insurer initially told be it would go to a local garage but I wasn't comfortable with that and said I'd only let it be fixed by an authorized Jag garage. They suggested a Jag approved place that was an hour and a half away from me so I went on Google and checked their reviews first. Once I was happy that I thought they'd do a good job to the right standard with original Jag parts etc, I gave them the go ahead. My car was collected and returned to me on completion and the process was easy. I guess the moral of the story is if it's not your fault and the other persons insurance is paying, you've got every right to demand that a proper job is done.

I thought the London 2012 one was superb. Danny Boyle nailed it IMHO

Just had my car delivered back from the Jag approved repairers and thankfully it's looking mint. Nearly £7k worth of work done but delighted that LV authorized it all and didn't write it off. Must say that despite my initial anger and frustration, the whole process has been seamless from start to finish. Enjoyed driving the Mercedes CLA hire car for the last 11 days but happy to have mine back in one piece again. I know insurance companies get a bad rep and the costs are going up, but nothing but praise for LV from me - they've been outstanding.

Whereas we've got 7 'favorites' saved on Rightmove that we'd happily move into tomorrow. Problem is, there's very little interest in ours and nothing around here is selling atm. We live in a relatively small village and there's 54 properties for sale - more than I've ever known in 22 years living here. Something needs to happen to kick start the market again.

Having spent more nights in hospitals over the last 20 years than I care to remember, I learnt early on that ear plugs are a must.

I would laugh mate but Sepsis has claimed the lives of a couple of people close to me over the years - it's fvcking horrible. If you have got it then hopefully you're young enough to fight it off but it's a killer for the elderly. Let us know what the diagnosis is, rest up, and get better. Take your time.
