Let’s be honest that injury has ruined Alves. I think we were all desperate to see him kick on as a local lad but he didn’t pull up any trees in pre season and in the cameo against Man U he looked slow and his touch looked poor. How do you not know what I’m on about, I’ve been quite clear, I said he was the most selfish player I’d ever seen yet you could only name Ronaldo as someone who is more so. Who have you seen other than Kane who has swore on his daughter’s life to claim a goal that he was no where near? I wasn’t making a point about pens, I asked how many times you have seen Kane step aside and let another player take them, Vardy has a pretty good record from the spot but has stepped aside to let a player have a go, most notably the season we went down to let Maddison take one against Everton, despite Maddison being horrendous from the spot, he afair had a better record than Mahrez from the spot but still didn’t interfere with him taking them, this wouldn’t be the case with Kane despite him having other capable players around him. My dislike to him has nothing to do with his ability as a footballer or this debate, he’s clearly a world class striker, but you’re skirting around all the points I’ve come back at you to say he’s not selfish and that’s that. The comparison to Vardy and chances created is a bit of a moot point to me, Kane was deployed in a very different role to Vardy in the prem, and is a technically more capable player. Notice how you have used chances created opposed to shots per game (1.20 v 3.76), is an equally misleading stat as spurs would have created more chances, averaged more shots per game, had more of the ball etc etc. There were games under Rodgers where Vardy touched the ball about 10 times a game, it’s a bit of a tactical discussion and doesn’t really factor in to how selfish Kane is. Tbh you’ve not even said how Kane isn’t selfish you’ve just stated a chances created stat and said everybody else does it so it’s fine. Hes the most selfish player I think I have ever watched. IMO he was too deep during the summer because he wasn’t up to speed and shouldn’t have even been playing, to me that is more selfish than seeing the manager and saying look I’m not 100% but I can give you half an hour off the bench. You’ll counter that with how there’d be outrage blah blah blah but there’s no surprise we looked better with Watkins up top during the summer than Kane. It’s the same scenario as when he wasn’t fully fit for the champions league final against Liverpool but he played, it’s all about him. The point is about how he would genuinely take every set piece available to him, you think there was an instruction for the deadliest striker in Europe to not be in the box for set pieces?
