  1. I actually think in this instance they already have sufficient doubt, however given our current position and the fact he has only been in position for a number of months, I think they are giving him a prescribed timeframe to either sort it out or during this period at any time the club will cut him loose. I am not defending the club regards Rodgers as they held onto him way too long but as others have said he had a proven track record at the club and had a some credit in the bank. Cooper has none of this and therefore he is being judged on his current performance. I honestly believe there will be a parting of the ways in the next 6 weeks and how quickly that happens is very much dependent on each result and performance. Another honker on Saturday and I think enough will be enough.
  2. Cooper’s record to so far - Prem W2 (18.18%) D4 (36.36%) L5 (45.45%) In addition we are conceding on average 2 goals per game. Cup W1 (33.33%) D1 (33.33%) L1 (33.33%) that includes 2 matches vs league 2 opposition Total W3 (21.43%) D5 (23.81%) L6 (42.86%) this is nowhere near good enough especially when you take into account the run of fixtures we have and even with cup fixtures we have conceded 26 goals in 14 games. Even if you are kind and add in preseason his win percentage only increases to 26.32% however his loss rate also increases to 47.37%. Every game we give him is a lost opportunity he is not a premier league level manager/coach and that extends to his appointed backroom staff, he is league one and championship level at best, however I would argue at even Championship and top level he is a busted flush. We concede goals and chances at will, and only look effective when the game turns chaotic and we have nothing to lose when trying to rescue a result. Incapable of stringing together a single 90 minute performance and a game plan devoid of any real tactical identity except the fact we don’t appear to have one. There really are zero redeeming features to this appointment, and the sooner a change is made the better.
  3. There does seem to be more and more being written by the media that his job is under scrutiny, I really cannot see him lasting much longer than the next 3 games especially when you bolt on the bits and pieces being leaked regards how the squad perceive him and his methods.
  4. He has come in to 13/2 with Paddy Power and Betfair so the odds are shortening. My only hope is that we have one or two genuine favourites we are targeting, we remain in dialogue and as soon as there is a definite agreement with our preferred choice to take over we will sack Cooper and replace him immediately. I know we, me included love to complain about the club and how it’s run, and the current mob are far from perfect, however I am hopeful that they have learnt from the Rodgers fiasco of waiting too long and also seemingly not having a replacement in position to step in. IIRC when Puel left, Rodgers was appointed within a matter of days, I have a feeling this will be the case this time round, I would not be shocked if Cooper left within the next couple of weeks and RVN, Moyes or even Potter were in place within 72 hours of the sacking.
  5. Whilst it’s frustrating that nothing has happened during this international break, what is clear with the bits and pieces within the media that his position is under scrutiny and he is definitely under pressure, whether that is down to results, the performances, his approach, his working relationship with the playing squad, fanbase reaction or a mix of all of the above, clearly there are people who are not convinced by him. These little snippets fed by Nixon and others will just be the tip of the iceberg as to what’s going on. Truth is a couple more poor results and I am certain he won’t get the opportunity to the end of the year. We aren’t party to the discussion, whilst it’s reported he has to the end of the year, that could be too show a marked improvement, however many more poor results and performances and the plug will probably be pulled before then. The noise is getting louder and therefore I think it will only heighten as each game goes by.
  6. I think it’s more of a case of that being the maximum length of time he will be given, however if we lose the next 2 or 3 and throw in similar levels of performance as the 2nd half vs Forest and the Man Utd game I think he will be gone sooner. If Chelsea hump us next week I can see it becoming pretty toxic. Unless at the end of the year there is performance clause that kicks in that significantly reduces any pay off. What is good is it’s coming from Nixon who has been pretty reliable about us in last few months.
  7. With how much he challenged the way the club was set up not sure a few at the club like being challenged or questioned
  8. Given the fact that RVN has applied for the Coventry City managers job when they are sat in 17th position in the championship, 9 points away from 6th and 1 point away from the drop zone says everything you need to know to shoot down the argument that Cooper was the only the manager who wanted it. My take on it, despite the potential points deduction, I imagine the club were pretty bullish that they could fight it off, there will have been significant interest in the job, however I imagine any manager worth his salt, such as Potter would only join on the basis certain conditions were met which effectively meant they were not prepared to work under the current structure. However Cooper who was seemingly desperate to land another shot at the Premier League was more than happy to be the clubs patsy, a relatively cheap option who wouldn’t challenge or threaten the establishment. the club had there fingers burnt by Enzo, a highly ambitious and progressive coach who demanded the highest standards across the whole club and I am not sure certain individuals welcomed being challenged to raise the standards, it’s all too nice and comfortable. Appointing Cooper allows them to continue to run the club in the way the deem appropriate without fear of recrimination.
  9. I honestly believe if Chelsea beat us the pressure will really be on Cooper going into the West Ham game as it will be 5 without a win and slipping ever closer to the bottom 3, would be interesting if there is a clause that if we go into the bottom 3 after so many games have been played then if he does get sacked it’s a greatly reduced pay off……..
  10. Just wanted to say a massive thank you to everyone who supported and donated to my Prostate United challenge. I was able to raise a total of £5,675 and I made the Team of the Season as the highest individual fundraiser. Amazingly the challenge raised £375.000 this year and in total has now raised £1,000,000 for Prostate Cancer UK Thanks again for your amazing generosity you are all absolute legends and helping to save mens lives 🖤🩵
  11. Not sure many have given up on the club, it’s more of a disconnect, I will always support the club they are my team, however it’s how invested I am which is the issue, for example Sundays result, in previous seasons that would ruin my weekend, however this season I just shrug my shoulders and carry on. Is it because I care less, no I don’t think so, however at this moment I feel emotionally detached, the direction of the club both on and off the pitch has changed significantly in recent years and I don’t mean on field success, up to the FA Cup final win it felt like we had a project, something to invest in and be excited about. Everything on and off the pitch seemed to be aligned and everything and everyone seemed to be pulling in the same direction. Since then the wheels have come off in spectacular fashion, the decision making and strategy both on and off the pitch is scattergun to say the least and it’s difficult to really see what our identity is as a club now and that is both the playing side and from a supporter basis. it felt like the club had got their act together when they appointed Enzo and we had our new Pearson who would take the club by the scruff of the neck and build a new positive era. When he left, the club made the decision to appoint Cooper, an uninspiring choice and one so far removed from Maresca in terms of style that yet again it demonstrated an alarming lack of ambition, proactive forward planning.and long term strategy. My frustrations are that such poor decisions and a lack of long term strategic planning has left us with arguably the poorest manager in the league, a lack of a discernible style or identity and what appears to be a club with little or no clear vision of what or where it wants to be as a club. And for those reasons, whilst I still support and love my club, I am struggling to get passionate, excited or invested in, as there are so many individuals and strategic decision making that is taking the club away from what I want it to be, and that is why I feel so disconnected.
  12. Agreed. I actually think the players and their desire to remain in the premier league has been the main contributor to us getting the points we have so far. Largely our wins and draws have been down to moments of individual quality rather than anything tactical. And I am not convinced they are playing for him, more for the club, supporters and their own career ambitions. if we had a manager who could competently organise this squad into a well drilled unit I have no doubt we would do more than ok.
  13. Some rumours on X that he will get until at least December, which if true I reckon gives him the Chelsea, Brentford and possibly West Ham games, if he fails to win any of those that takes the run without a win to 7 and I think that will definitely be the end of it. I still think this international break was the perfect time to make a change and bring in the new manager in readiness for what is a hectic spell of games leading up to the transfer window, also gives the new man a decent run of games to assess the squad and potential targets to bring in.
  14. Another cracking episode although massively pissed off with you all after going on X and seeing the image of breaking news and Cooper sacked, still struggling to cope with the come down after realising it was a hoax 😂
  15. Reckon Craig David could turn that into a tune 😂
  16. Well his odds for being the next Prem manager to leave are shortening, he is now down to 12/1 with a couple of bookies, hopefully a Percy or Tom Collomose bomb later and by the time I am having my morning 💩 he will be odds on and nailed on to be gone some time tomorrow 👀
  17. Reality is most of the playing staff will be away from the club for a few days either on international duty or having a few days off which is what usually happens at the start of an international break. He may well have been informed of the decision but there will be severance deals to be negotiated and finalised so announcements may be on hold until all the legal formalities been finalised.
  18. Much like when Big Nige came back to the KP last season with Bristol City, rightly he got a superb reception but no way would I have had him back in place of Enzo.
  19. Is it worth sticking £20 on Cooper as next manager to be sacked?
  20. Inside knowledge or opinion pal?
  21. I bet watching the paint dry was far more exciting than watching the shite served up by Cooper.
  22. So imagine if Potter has given us a positive nudge that he would now take the job then you have to think the club will want to act decisively and not run the risk of missing out again.
  23. I felt similar although i did somewhat get my mojo back when Maresca walked through the door and seemed to take the club by the scruff of the neck, however I soon felt it all ebb away when we appointed Cooper and it felt like we had not learnt one single lesson from the previous 2/3 seasons.
  24. By him I assume you mean Cooper? If so then surely the writing is on the wall
  25. You tease, too be fair you called Cooper as the new manager prior to his appointment so I am hoping your source/info is good and we will be singing and dancing in the streets of Leicestershire.
