Run 24 of Prostate United challenge completed, now smashed through the 125km barrier. Just 7 more runs and 1 week left until I complete the challenge of running 5km each and every day of October to raise awareness and money for Prostate Cancer UK. The aches and pains have truly set in now, joints, ankle and knee are far from happy with me but the cause and the many people who have reached out with their experiences of this disease act as a real source of motivation to complete this challenge and raise as much money and very importantly awareness for such a great cause. Run 23 of Prostate United challenge completed, 121km and over 75 miles in the bag and now down to the last 8 runs to complete the challenge of completing a 5km run each and every day of October to raise awareness and money for Prostate Cancer UK. That was a slow one today, hit a bit of a wall and felt so leggy but then I remember why I am doing this, all the people who have reached out with their own personal experiences of this disease, and this gives me the inspiration and the motivation to push on. IIRC wasn’t there a rumour doing the rounds that Steven Reid was in negotiations to join the clubs coaching staff, seems to have gone quiet.

No think it will be empty no way I am dragging my sorry old arse round a packed KP with @Ric Flair hurling insults and cans of Spaghetti Coops at my head 😂

Also the club have been great and offered me the opportunity to run at the stadium next Tuesday 😊

The last 2 results have been a massive bonus and certainly given him a bit of a safety cushion, however there are a lot of underlying concerns that are bothering me and suggest results are somewhat papering over the cracks, very similar to when Peter Taylor came in and in the immediate did pretty well but it only took one poor result for it all to unravel and this is my fear with Cooper, rumours of discontent amongst some of the players, established players being frozen out and in many games so far we have somehow ridden our luck to not be on the end of a bit a hiding. sooner rather than later I can see a team taking full advantage of the numerous chances they create and we suffer a very heavy and morale sapping defeat and I can see it all crumbling pretty quickly. should he be sacked off the back of two victories, absolutely not, but it does feel his credentials will be severely tested in the near future and he his limitations will be laid bare for all to see.

This is a disease that doesn’t care about your age, how fit you are or your if you are famous or not, I would love to raise so much more for this amazing cause to help the heroes who are treating and caring for the warriors fighting this disease and their families who lives have been turned upside down, the people researching new treatments and fighting for increased testing and screening.programmes, so I really would love to get as many people following, supporting and donating to fight a disease that affects 1 in 8 men and takes a life every 45 minutes.
