Never really saw why Cifuentes included him, didn’t really seem to offer much and there were far better prospects that could/should have been bloodied instead of him. Glad he is moving on as I am not sure what he he would offer to justify keeping him in and around the 1st team squad. As much as we need to get rid of the rotten apples and big earners, I also believe we need to trim down the number of players in and around the U21/23 academy age groups where there seem so many who have been here for so long and have yet to show they are remotely capable of stepping up. there are far too many examples of players like Thomas, Wanya and Golding who have shown very little in the last 2/3 years but are still here costing the club and yet rather than move them on for fees, we hoard them and just release them. Very strange.

Yes they are called agents 😂

What time is Vardy being unveiled as part of the new kit launch 👀

Not sure if you are being serious but their social media reach is pretty impressive and it really galvanised the fans and club, there was a real feel good factor and a fantastic kick start to the season. They had record shirt sales and social media hits as a consequence of this deal. It’s a far more innovative sponsorship deal than the one we have with the obscure and murky BC Game. I wish we would look at more out of the box thinking.

Plus an absolutely toxic environment where the culture is on the floor not many if any young players are going to excel in those circumstances.

Russell Martin - Confirmed as First Team Manager

If the younger players are good enough they will earn their chance I have no doubt, if Martin has done any amount of due diligence he will know that many of the senior players we have relied on over the last 2 seasons have been absolute charlatans. He seems to have developed a decent rapport with the younger group and it seems they are enjoying working for him so will no doubt be more prepared to take on board his messaging and be prepared to run through a brick wall for him. What he needs to do is identify 3 or 4 senior players existing or new that he can trust and are fully invested to supplement the energy and talent of the academy lads plus a couple of 23-26 year old stand out players and he could get this club flying again. -
Would have loved to see us team up with admiral again, the kits they have produced for Burton Albion look really good.

Jamie Vardy: One Last Party?

Genuinely think that was a club led decision, either to drive up interest on what was deemed to be our star players who wanted to move on and then as soon as the window closed whoever we were stuck with had to be reintegrated, I think Marti was shafted to cover up the incompetence of Rudkin in being unable to shift out the deadwood.

Jamie Vardy: One Last Party?
Claudio Fannieri replied to indierich06's topic in Leicester City Forum
The bit that is strange is the fact he is in our training kit ….surely he has his own gear he could wear, also training with a couple of our conditioning staff is another strange one, I do wonder if there is an ‘agreement’ in place subject to certain conditions being met in terms of his fitness and us shifting players out to create the budget. -
Has been handled atrociously, should have been made a starter at the beginning of last season and look to extend his contract then but was left to rot in a stinking environment and then thrown in when the rot had well and truly set in. Not surprised he wants out but £10m with a year left is utter lunacy from the club, unless they know Enzo is going to come in with a sensible offer to save our skin. On another note you have to question if there has been any innovative thinking, why not offer Nelson a 12 month or 2 year extension with a very reasonable release clause of say £10m + 20% sell on. I know his agent may be chirping in his ear but got to hope the academy players have some level of loyalty and respect for the club and would therefore be open to extending as long as not held to ransom as Mahrez felt he was when clubs came calling.

Running with Matt Reeves the head of conditioning. -
We have 4 stands that are currently unsponsored …..surely that would be a first point of call to raise additional revenue and again potentially start to rebuild the connection with the fanbase by reaching out to businesses with strong links to Leicestershire. Also how about each stand has its own designated charity, where the club donates a % of matchday revenue through sales of food, drink etc, it would no doubt increase the number of fans spending money at the concession stands on matchday whilst giving something back to local charities like LOROS, Lamp etc

What Happened Next: Foxes Trust End Of Season Survey
Claudio Fannieri replied to Foxes_Trust's topic in Leicester City Forum
I think the problems are the club/individuals do not like or accept much in the way of criticism or accountability for what has been a monumental decline, rather than be open to criticism, dialogue and feedback, they would rather double down and close ranks even more. in times of trouble which we are in right up to our necks the club should be reaching out and engaging more now than ever to better understand the mood and feelings of a very disconnected fanbase, there are so many open goal opportunities that the club could use to help re-establish its relationship with lots of fans whilst creating additional revenue opportunities and creating some positive momentum. The refusal to engage in a meaningful way just shows that the self preservation society are only here for their own personal gain, if the club is successful then it’s an added bonus, but the number one objective is to protect their own personal position. -
Really hope this comes off as we need to start moving these bad eggs / rotten apples on and lowering the wage bill. If we can shift him on and get rid of the likes of Winks, JV, Faes and any one else who doesn’t want to be here and give 100% for the cause then we can start to look ahead to what could be a genuine reset.

The lower down the leagues we drop the more creative and innovative we need to become to attract new revenue streams whilst increasing the connection with the fanbase, unfortunately as I have stated in previous posts, our rapid demise has meant our lack of creative talent is as sadly exposed commercially as it is on the pitch. When you have clubs such as PNE and Port Vale striking innovative sponsorship deals that have driven significant revenue from shirt sales but have also created a real buzz of excitement and togetherness with the fanbase. We continue to alienate fans with our lazy partnering with an obscure crypto/betting company and then look to charge our beleaguered fans £20 to watch pre season friendlies that were available for free last season as a reward for relegation to league one …… way to go team KPFC you really know how to destroy any shred of positivity heading into the new season.
-
Might be an opportunity to increase the £19.99 asking price to watch the friendlies as you will be getting 33% extra in 2 matches so no doubt price will increase to £49.99 ……..
-
I think it’s the former

According to Alan Nixon we have players lined up to come in not sure what the delay is …..

Russell Martin - Confirmed as First Team Manager
Claudio Fannieri replied to moore_94's topic in Leicester City Forum
My only hope is given they have finally secured the manager they have been chasing for so long, that they actually listen to him and back him as required. If he is calling out poor standards then they have to help him by moving on the bad eggs. -
Russell Martin - Confirmed as First Team Manager
Claudio Fannieri replied to moore_94's topic in Leicester City Forum
Great news if true, I just hope the club give him the best opportunity to do his job by moving on the bad apples and the players who have clearly checked out. The issues will be just like last season if some don’t move on and he is forced to reintegrate them and it makes for a toxic environment, the standards and culture further deteriorate and RM is completely hung out to dry by Aiyawatt and Rudkin. -
The captain has to be a starter for me and one of our most important players, so that has to rule out Hamza, Thomas et al. None of last seasons squad aside from on loan JJ showed any signs of leadership or character so for me it has to be a new signing or run the risk of another season of spineless performances and shite attitudes.

Is there any point to our Academy?
Claudio Fannieri replied to smudgerfox's topic in Leicester City Forum
As others have said the academy is absolutely critical to us and I think it will become more and more important in the coming years. What will be interesting is if we can start getting more players out on loan and then like Cartwright selling the ones that we don’t think will make it with us rather than let their contracts expire and release. If we could sell 4 or 5 fringe academy players and make £1m + per season it makes sense especially if we include sell ons and add ons, it will generate much needed revenue, particularly with SCR in mind. -
I thought we signed him for about £8m plus add ons so highly likely unless there are any specific appearance driven bonuses then by my reckoning it will be closer to £5m but maybe wrong.
