I really hope Challinor is under consideration however I have a feeling he goes to Salford, just something I had heard.
-
It isn’t going to happen given we have only just appointed McCarron as sporting director and no way Pearson comes back until Rudkin clears off.
-
I will keep banging this drum Danny Ormerod from AFC Fylde

Will Alves has just changed who represents him 👀 -
Alan Nixon has a further update on our manager search tomorrow
-
Our only hope is he stays fit and has a decent World Cup and attracts interest from elsewhere and drives the price up to already offset any outstanding book value and interested parties cover his full wage.
-
Yes I believe so, have you heard anything about him being interviewed this time around?
-
Will be interesting if there is anything that comes to light on his exit from the club and his relationship with certain senior people within the club.
-
My biggest concern with Martin being appointed is that he tries to reintegrate Winks and feel that he can get a tune out of him.

I disagree i actually think wee looked decent in pre season under Kingy, lots of the academy players involved, we were playing with a high press and high energy it looked quite positive. The reality is the culture and standards at the club are woeful, that is down to rank bad recruitment not only from at talent perspective but a complete lack of due diligence as to the personality and character of new signings, align that with us handing out long lucrative contracts, and an ownership only to happy to indulge the players and it’s easy to see why the rot has set in. I ran at Seagrave with Kingy and we spent half an hour talking very openly, and whilst I am not going to breach any confidences about exactly what was said, it is clear he sees and knows the issues. However like any workplace, you can only drive a change if the rotten apples are moved out and you have the support of the Senior Management team to adopt a hard line approach, that will and cannot change if the bad eggs are allowed and enabled by the ownership and Senior leaders to throw each and every manager who tries to change to direction of travel under a bus. Over time the poor recruitment has diluted the positive impact that the good professionals can instill, and when you have a largely absent owner who still wants autonomy on most major decisions and still tries to be best mates with the senior players, influencing selection etc then anarchy reigns. Kingy is nowhere near the problem here, his message is saying he knows what can be achieved when standards are high, the culture is professional and everyone is pushing in the same direction, 2015-16 is absolute evidence of that, in the same way that this seasons debacle shows how wrong things can go when the standards are not at the highest level.

I might be wrong but pretty sure the Stockport DoF recently left to take up a similar role at Wednesday which might be what is driving the links

Really hope so 🤞🏼

Agreed it’s such short term thinking. Don’t want to pay compensation but then happy to keep sacking poor appointments and spending a small fortune in pay offs. Surely the best option is find the best available candidate and hopefully have someone in place for 2/3 seasons who delivers success. we don’t want to pay compensation to clubs so miss out on the likes of Corberon and Rohl to appoint the likes of Cooper, RVN and Cifuentes, because they are cheap free and available and end up getting relegated twice in a row, whilst throwing money about on dross like BDCR, Ayew, Eduoard, Skipp, Carranza, Aribo etc. When will the penny drop and the people in power realise it’s false economies, get the right manager in and give him the power and support to rebuild and it all changes. The likes of Challinor, Fuchs etc won’t be on big money and by default won’t have massive release clauses. Hire the wrong man which we will most likely do if we continue to shop in the bargain basement and we will be shelling out a lot more in pay offs before the season is out.

He is nothing more than a deflection tactic to take the heat off Rudkin

Good luck today Ric great effort for an amazing cause -
Club have missed a golden opportunity to use this game to launch the new home kit, straight away it removes any link from last seasons failures, offers the opportunity to launch it with loads of positivity, would have probably led to a big increase in attendance and you could use some of the premier league winners alongside some of the brighter academy players for the promo shoots with a slogan/tagline such as - “They Made History. You Write the Next Chapter.” there you go Anthony you can have that fecker for free …… if only you had answered my numerous emails offering consultancy support but hey ho 🤣

Not overly enamoured if it is Martin, although really don’t think we would have got relegated if he had been appointed last season. The bigger concern for me if he is appointed, McCarron has zero influence in his role and clearly the big decisions will still sit with Aiyawatt and Rudkin and despite 3 relegations in 4 years we are continuing to double down on this style of play.
-
This is something that has to change, there is a clear pattern of good people who care deeply for the club, who challenge and are then dispensed with. As a result the standards and culture have dropped off the edge of a cliff and we are now in league one with the club in absolute tatters. if that doesn’t provide further evidence that too many in senior roles at the club are making decisions based around self preservation rather than the very best interests of the club then I don’t know what does. Absolutely rotten to the core.
-
If I leave in 5 minutes I should beat the crowds leaving on 75 minutes
-
Has to be back involved with the club in some capacity, as some many have send he was the ultimate professional, held the highest standards and most importantly held everybody to account. if the club is serious about trying to get back to where we have been then people like Kasper have to be at the heart of the rebuild. No chance Rudkin gives him a senior role so over to you Aiyawatt, make the call and start the overhaul.
-
If we do have one in place good chance it will be announced this week once Aiyawatt is in the country for the 5000/1 match.
-
Interesting that the club didn’t also take the opportunity to say Rowett, Davidson and Sadler would also be leaving at the end of their short term contracts.
-
Would not be shocked if stance has softened, we are so far away from the premier league and it does make you wonder if Aiyawatt and KP have decided enough is enough. The kudos of playing the likes of Liverpool, Arsenal, Man City etc is a distant memory and there will be little to no interest in us playing the likes of Bromley, Barnsley, Mansfield, Leyton Orient etc. Given Top has been less and less visible at the club, I don’t believe there is even the emotional connection any more, I know people reference it’s where Vichai passed but if anything I would say that must be harder to see and visit each time. I am hopeful that this is the beginning of what will be a brighter future and the start of some meaningful change over the next couple of years.

Doesn’t have to have deep pockets, would happily take a good sound business person making good decisions and creating a good environment, culture and environment.
