  1. Scoring 10 goals from midfield in our absolute honker of a side will not have gone unnoticed by a lot of lower end premier league clubs and some top end championship clubs, any promoted team will have him on there wanted list as he will be relatively cheap and have decent sell on potential.
  2. There really is no reason or evidence to suggest this mob will ever learn, they had a chance to press the reset button after the first relegation and when Enzo left. we could and should have hired Corberon, we could and and should have signed Jordan James and Hayden Hackney in that summer for less than we forked out for Skipp, we could have signed Zian Flemming for what we spaffed on Ayew, we could have signed Callum O’Hare instead of Bobby Reid and for what we flushed down the bog on Eduaords loan we could have signed Tom Fellows and I guarantee had we done all of that we would be in a far better position than we are we now both on and off the pitch and have a lot of saleable assets on sensible wages. Also to then replicate the same mistake this summer by not appointing Rohl when we had the chance for another cheap and cheerful option just to pay out another load of compo halfway through the season. We have shelled out an absolute fortune to 3 failed managers in the last 18 months or so all because we don’t like to pay release clauses for good managers, much rather pay out compo though to absolute dog muck. It doesn’t make sense and is why this lot have to go, they don’t have a fecking clue how to run a football club.
  3. Top post, I am really concerned that with relegation we will be in administration within 12 months. People point to player trading to get us out of a hole, but in reality aside from Abdul who do we have that will bring in big money. Relegation will see an automatic reduction in player valuation, then given it will be a fire sale and players will be on big money relative to the clubs they will be joining etc etc and you can see a lot of derisory offers come in as clubs sniff around our rotting carcass for opportunities to stiff us good and proper. Honestly I would be shocked if we get anything north of £15m for Abdul, then we only really have Monga, Page, Aluko and Nelson that will gleam any interest and we would be lucky to get anything above £5m for any of them based on circumstances, contracts and performances. The rest are massively underperforming and highly paid so most likely we have to take a bath or accept that at best we cover any outstanding book value, but players like Skipp we would likely take a big hit as i reckon we would do well to get anywhere near his book value which would be somewhere between £12-15m. This isn’t football manager it’s the real world, we are up to our necks in it and relegation would be an absolute disaster for the club on and off the pitch.
  4. In my opinion this is the reality of the situation, Rowett knows this is and was only ever going to be a gig until the end of the season. A firefighter to come in and try to be a short term hero. But let’s be honest he doesn’t fit the profile to be a long term solution. Rowett knows this is his opportunity and shop window to secure himself a managerial gig somewhere for next season. Hence why we seeing the exclusion of the likes of Page & Aluko, the continued lack of use of Monga from the bench. Rowett was gambling on getting enough senior pros on board to get the job done and it is somewhat backfiring. So now Rowett has realised that whilst still trying to maintain our Championship status he is also doing a bit of self preservation of his own, questioning who he can trust etc is the perfect narrative to deflect any little blame or accountability away from himself. As the season draws to its conclusion if we see many more results and performances like yesterday, I think this narrative will become louder and louder. Have a look where Rowett ends up next season, I can only see clubs such as Preston North End, maybe Blackburn if they go down, or mid table league one clubs showing an interest. In reality I don’t think he is the right fit for a big club with lofty ambitions, I think he is more suited to smaller clubs looking to fight and scrap to stay in a division. He is limited and this has shown in the two of the three games where we have really struggled to dominate.
  5. Have you seen the recent accounts, the last 3 years published accounts we lost £200m, this season we ‘moved’ the staff christmas payment back to the 31st December. We are on our knees financially and another significant reduction in revenue will be catastrophic for the club. There will be widespread job losses at the club. Really good people who represent the club with integrity and pride, losing their jobs in what is already a challenging and difficult financial and economic climate. The rules are we can spend 60% of our revenue on playing squad, we already have the most inflated wage bill in the championship. Plus when you consider amortisation etc we are well and truly goosed. There will have to be a fire sale to raise any kind of funds which will mean the better saleable assets going for a lot less than market value and if we want rid of some of the higher earning dross then we will probably end up taking a sizeable hit to get them off the books. The future and very existence of the club is looking very very bleak if we are relegated, make no mistake.
  6. I would understand your stance more, if we were currently at threat of relegation from the premier league to the championship. But we are not, we are at real threat of relegation to league one, for only the 2nd ever time in our history, we have received the first ever points deduction in our history for gross financial incompetence, this deduction is likely to be the final nail in our relegation coffin. Also as being widely discussed by a lot of football finance pundits and experts, if we do go down into league one there is the very real possibility we end up in financial meltdown and potential administration, for only the 2nd time in our history, which could lead to liquidation and no Leicester City Football Club. Yes in there time at the club KP have overseen some amazing highs, they were well praised, celebrated and lauded at the time, however we now sit on the precipice of arguably our lowest ever point, on a continual downward trajectory and the self preservation society making board changes to not only protect themselves but to give them even more power, influence and control. Terry Shipman was hounded out of the club for far less, at what stage does your opinion change, when does this free pass to destroy the club expire? Ranieri was sacked less than 12 months after leading us to the greatest ever achievement, Rodgers left less than 2 years after the FA Cup Final win, so why does Aiyawatt and Rudkin get given infinitely longer when they already have 2 relegations under their belt and are on the verge of making it 3 in the last 4 seasons. I am sorry but enough is enough my love for this football club will always far outweigh blind loyalty to any individuals who’s effectiveness and ability to affect positive change has long gone past its sell by date.
  7. Not overly shocked or surprised, he speaks well and says the right things in the media but then picks Ayew as his starting striker and alienates most if not all of the exciting young talent, Page and Aluko have been dropped and Monga doesn’t even get a cameo. 6 games and 6 points is hardly mind blowing stuff, truth is he is decent at setting up a team to nullify away from home but at home when we need to take the initiative in 2 out of the 3 games we have been honking. This squad on paper is easily good enough to be challenging for play offs as a minimum but the culture is on its arse and if you keep hiring mediocre managers then guess what standards drop, players lose heart and interest and results drop off a cliff. Cooper, Cifuentes and Rowett are all meh and woeful appointments for a club who 4/5 years ago were winning FA Cups and in European semi finals.
  8. I bet the opinion on keeping him on next season has changed again
  9. Here you go pal please ignore the AI badge 😂
  10. Yessssssssssss JJ 👏🏼👏🏼👏🏼👏🏼
  11. I am bored so created what I would love to see as next seasons kits
  12. I can’t wait for the open bus tour of the city when our place in the championship is confirmed next season. Aiyawatt and Rudkin front, left and centre of the celebrations as the KPFC brigade clap and cheer with Brocky as MC
  13. The bond is a great idea. As for Chansiri he could have done what the old Derby owner did and wave his right to any money owed, this ensured Derby got sold for a reasonable price and minimised the risk of a further 15 point deduction. I listened to the Price of Football podcast they had a Sheffield Wednesday special it was really interesting, discussing that the interested parties will have an overall budget to buy the club and to invest in players, infrastructure etc so the buyers will be taking calculated risks as to how best they spend what they have available. Do they pay the full asking price and avoid the 15 point deduction but not have funds to strengthen the playing squad and infrastructure or do they take the 15 point deduction but have more to invest to improve the playing squad with a view they can make up the difference and sneak into the play offs. You do have to feel for the Sheffield Wednesday fans in all this, as this will be two seasons in a row where there season has been derailed before a ball has even been kicked.
  14. I think it just goes to prove the importance of doing due diligence on the players background and character as much as scouting technical ability. Pearson was excellent at signing good eggs. Yes he did make mistakes but quickly rectified them or found a way to get the player onside. If you look at our recruitment over the last 4 years it’s littered with signings who don’t seem the right fit in terms of personality and would suggest some very lazy and stale recruitment, players such as JV, Soumare, VK, Winks, BEK you could even add Faes into the equation.
  15. Wouldn’t be my captain but he showed last night what he can bring to the team, he is aggressive, quick and plays with intensity, yes he is limited on the ball and capable of brain farts but I did feel he had a positive impact on the game, and gives us qualities that Riccy can no longer bring. Happy to have him as a rotation option for the rest of the season and next season as back up to Aluko.
  16. At the beginning of the season, aside from the odd brain fart, he looked excellent and largely kept us in games with some big saves, then just at the time he got injured and a new GK coach came in and it coincided with a massive drop off in form and confidence from Jakub, not helped by a very leaky defence. I would also point out this is another relative young and inexperienced player who has come through the academy and thrust into the starting XI at a time when the club is on its arse, morale and standards are on the floor and a number of players have checked out, all in all a pretty toxic and challenging environment. Last night will have done his confidence the world of good, he is a very very good goalkeeper, who is struggling like so many at the club at the moment. He is another if we persevere with and then clear out the deadwood in the summer, will come back to his best.
  17. As others have said, aside from the penalty which was very rash, he looked solid and assured. He is quality in possession, he looked calm and rarely gave the ball away, his positioning and reading of the game also belies his years, another one to build the squad around for next season.
  18. I thought he was very good last night, his confidence seems to be returning and he looks more solid since Rowett has come in. He always gives 100% even when he is struggling and having a poor run of form, you can see how much playing for this club means to him. He has taken an absolute battering these last 2/3 seasons, you also have to take into account he was still as relatively young and inexperienced player when the wheels came off the bus at the club and that can have a huge impact on young players. The culture has changed massively, has as the character and attitude of his fellow squad members, I imagine it’s been quite an unhappy and toxic environment in recent seasons. I really hope he can gain some confidence and use the run in to get his career back on track, he is here for the long term so hopefully if he can come good again we will end up with a very solid left back more than capable of performing at top end championship level.
  19. Very good cameo from him last night, when he applies himself he shows he has the quality, it’s just the attitude and application that is the issue, I just don’t trust him anymore, I am waiting for him to have his next strop, down tools and throw his manager and team mates under the bus. let’s just hope he stays motivated for the remainder of the season, we stay up and then in the summer we part ways.
  20. He was excellent last night, and for the majority of the season has been one of the very few bright sparks. He epitomises everything you want to see in a planet wearing the LCFC kit, he plays with intensity, endeavour and desire all qualities sadly lacking in so many of this current squad. Also he is no mug in possession, is very neat and tidy and has the quality of passing to help launch counter attacks. As long as his wages aren’t too high and we can afford to keep him, he would form part of the spine of next seasons team and would potentially be my captain or vice captain.
  21. That win and Pompey losing drags Blackburn and Portsmouth back into the relegation mix which is critical .
  22. Not sure yet, early days, he has definitely improved us and made us more stable at the back but I think it’s a bit of a crossroads, as I am not sure long term he is the right fit especially given his reluctance to utilise the younger players at his disposal.
  23. He has really simplified the way we play, we are more solid but look to be more positive and direct when in possession without playing hoofball. 6 points from 5 games is a steady return given the circumstances. Only one blot so far at home to Norwich, really need to follow tonight up with another win on Saturday. My only concern at the moment is his reluctance to give many of our younger players meaningful minutes.
  24. Excellent result and very good performance overall. I gave Rowett pelters for that line up and he has proper made me look a right sausage, couldn’t be happier to be proved wrong. The clean sheet is huge as it removes that weight from the teams shoulders and made up for Jakub, hopefully this is the turning point for the season. Fatawu and Skipp absolutely superb for me. Onwards and upwards.
