We have just received a payment of £1.25m from UEFA, maybe this will help with PSR wriggle room and paying him off -

Especially when you are coming in mid season, at best you will negotiate certain clauses that link reduction to pay offs to not achieving certain objectives. -

Just checked the club X page and there is no pinned tweet I am sure in the past this usually means a club announcement incoming, I may be wrong but hoping good news is on the horizon 🙏🏼 -

It is clear Ruud doesn’t want to be here, I also imagine the club want him gone and for there to be fresh start next season, I think the meeting with the club will be to agree a compensation deal and structure of his pay off to minimise PSR implications. I would be shocked if he still here in 7 days time, given the noise in and around the media the mood music which will be coming from sources on both sides are suggesting a parting of the ways. -

What this says to me, is this is the starting point for discussing his departure, this is posturing by both parties to try and secure the best outcome, we will want to pay out the minimum amount possible and Ruud will want to walk away with some sort of deal, he clearly wants out and the club want him gone but they will no doubt meet somewhere in the middle. I think it’s highly likely he leaves within next few days -
There are some rumours doing the rounds to this effect

I think there will be lots of clubs prepared to pay £6-10m for a current Belgian international defender, I don’t think it will be that difficult to shift Faes too be honest.

I may be naive but is this not a pretty standard weekly invite and therefore doesn’t necessarily mean Ruud will still be here, surely if he was to leave say today, it would just mean the caretaker manager would step up and cover this off. -
Richie Wellens for me, has served his apprenticeship in the lower leagues and done a cracking job with Orient, getting promoted from league 2 and now in the league 1 play off places and plays decent football.

If he is leaving it will only be announced once the legal and financial terms have all been agreed and perhaps this is where the problems lie. Perhaps there is a reduced pay off clause, maybe there isn’t, perhaps Ruud has justification that he was lied to about January transfers and therefore is unwilling to accept the proposed pay off or perhaps the terms of his settlement, as others have said given that he didn’t get the support he believed he was promised he doesn’t want to agree to certain conditions of his NDA. Maybe he won’t agree to mutual consent, I can see Ruud digging his heels in and saying sack me but no NDA or walking of his own volition so he can call the board and club out and out lot will be cacking it as they don’t need/want any more negative publicity. -

No we weren’t, we had lost 5 of the last 6 games, the one game vs Ipswich where we shithoused a draw in the last minute after Ipswich went down to 10 men. And if you say threatening you mean the way we barely had an attack against Chelsea until the final minute of the game in his final match. Cooper was an appalling appointment as was Ruud, the club made two woeful choices, if Cooper had stayed we would have probably been on a similar run, we were conceding chances for fun. -

Given Top’s plane is due to leave at 16.40 this evening and there is a private jet booked to leave EMA to Amsterdam tomorrow morning, I am going to take a stab in the dark and say an announcement to be made this evening some time after 5pm that RVN has left the club. -
He has started 31 games this season, he has scored over 25% of our goals and been involved in 10 of our 27 goals scored in the premier league and all this from a 38 year old, fecking criminal he is being dragged down by this fecking shit show of a season. Daka and Eduaord should hang their heads in shame that neither have offered any credible challenge to his starting berth, Cooper and RVN an utter disgrace in both criminally over using him at this stage of his career. And finally Jon Rudkin and the recruitment team for not identifying a credible front man to come in and take some of the workload burden and goal scoring pressure off Vards. For a 38 year old, 7 goals and 3 assists in a relegated team who have scored 27 is a decent return, as I have said he is far from the problem or cause of our issues this season.

I would hope that Ayew and BDCR might attract a bit of interest from markets like. Saudi, MLS or Turkey even if we can break even on PSR and clear their wages off the books to free up budget and squad space.

He has literally been flogged for most of the season the way he has been managed has been appalling. The whole of our attacking. shape and play has been woeful under Ruud, look Vardy is and always be a legend at this club, I think the reason he points a lot is because he is coaching player around him, where they should be etc I don’t have an issue with that in the slightest. what this statement shows is just how frustrated he has been with what has gone on. We saw the previous relegation season how a managers piss poor management of Vardy and negative tactics restricted his ability to be effective, lo and behold last season his game time was managed brilliantly and the team was well coached and he flourished. I don’t believe he is finished and as I have said previously I would keep him as long as it’s a sensible contract and his game time is managed he would be brilliant mentor to the young players that we will be much more reliant on next season.

Has done really well since coming back in, perhaps the last couple of seasons which has seen him go through a very difficult spell has given him the drive to push back on. personally I would look to move VK on in the summer and have Thomas as starting LB with Aluko and Ali as back up.

He has shown he has more than enough ability if playing with decent quality, think he will end up at a mid to upper mid level club, could see teams like West Ham, Palace, Brentford, Brighton and Bournemouth being interested as he will still have future sell on potential. I also wouldn’t be shocked if teams like Spurs, Man Utd and Arsenal have a nibble as would be a very good squad/rotational option for clubs who potentially will be in Europe next season. -

When people talk about entitlement I actually believe that should be levelled at the board and ownership, an entitlement to never be questioned or criticised because we won the league and FA Cup, both momentous achievements, but in their eyes i truly believe that KP, Top, Susan and Rudkin believe they are above any sort of accountability or responsibility now things have turned sour and that anyone who dares to criticise, challenge or question is ungrateful and not a genuine fan.

I am pretty sure he stated there was no break clause. Which is very different to a reduced pay off -

Claudio Fannieri replied to moore_94's topic in Leicester City Forum
He will be gone, relegation will mean a lower pay off, given how he was hung out to dry in January with next to nothing in the transfer window, despite promises of getting lots of support to freshen the squad, I think Ruud has been waiting for his pay off, he wants out as much as us fans want him gone, look at how frustrated we are at how the club is managed, so imagine being the manager, lied to about transfers, players running to the owner, a DoF out of his depth, not being able to bring in your own backroom staff. We talk about a disconnect between supporters and the club, too be honest I can see a far bigger one between RVN and the club at present. Ruud keeps calling the club out about the future because he knows they are on suck different pages in terms of the future, the playing squad, culture and standards and that discussion is only going to end with a parting of the ways and a pay off. -
Will he do the honorable thing and walk?
Claudio Fannieri replied to Glasgow fox's topic in Leicester City Forum
He won’t walk, why should he, especially if he feels that a lot of the conversations and promises made on him joining then changed, he was given minimal support in the January window despite leading up to it hin regularly saying he was promised significant support. With hindsight I very much doubt he would have joined had he known the truth, hence the supposed talks about him offering his resignation, and Top persuading him to stay on, in and around the Tottenham game. -
Decent piece on us and at least the wider media are finally starting to realise the situation and the fact that all is far from well at the club. Masslve summer ahead, you have to hope that early relegation gives the owner and board the opportunity to start planning for next season immediately in terms of players, manager and coaching staff and to start working towards being ready to go from day one of pre season, however knowing our lot we will waste the next 5 games pissing and farting about and losing any opportunity for any positivity and building some momentum in readiness for the new season.
