Will be interesting if Vards does an interview in the summer and the truth comes out about why he left, was it his own decision, was he forced out or was it more of a mutual agreement in the best interests of the club longer term. Until that happens it’s hard to tell. My own personal opinion is that he will have expected similar terms or even if reduced probably still £100k+ a week and the club agreed if we stay up he stays but if relegated then it’s no longer sustainable. I wouldn’t be shocked if this ‘agreement’ had been discussed and in place for some time, hence why Vardy looked so disconsolate when we had lost games to Fulham, Palace, Man United etc at home and it had become clear relegation and the end of his time at LCFC was looming. If there is any truth in the reports Rudkin has had any influence in this as he feels undermined would suggest he is going nowhere.

Ric Flair Live & Direct on BSLB Podcast
Claudio Fannieri replied to Ric Flair's topic in Leicester City Forum
Brilliant episode, Jonathan Northcroft was an absolute superb guest offering great insight was a really interesting listen. The quality of the content every episode is top drawer, with balanced opinion and engaging debate, delivered with minimal ego and a great smattering of humour. keep up the great work fellas as its getting better and better every episode 👏🏼👏🏼👏🏼 -
I agree however I would also imagine Vards would have also wanted the announcement out as early as possible so he can maximise his send off and get to say a proper goodbye over these last 5 games.

Who do you want to be our main striker next season?
Claudio Fannieri replied to 420Hashish's topic in Leicester City Forum
I think it will likely be Daka plus if we get a new manager they will like want to bring in their own man as well. It would be peak Leicester for Daka to suddenly turn into the player we signed bag 20+ goals then piss off on a free next summer 😂😂 -
I do wonder if conversations took place earlier in the season where it was discussed that Vardy would only be offered a new deal if we stayed up, it would explain why Vards was nearly in tears at the end of the Palace and Fulham games when the reality of our impending relegation and the personal ramifications started to become reality.

Absolutely gutted, he epitomises what Leicester City is all about, not only have we seen the last of our greatest ever player but today feels like a part of the club has died. Quite possibly one of if not the only person who has kept many of the fanbase connected to the club. What a player and thanks for the memories
-
So many memorable and magnificent goals, truth is with Vards every goal will live long in my memory because even the scruffiest of goals he celebrated in a unique way to make it memorable. Two that haven’t been mentioned yet and nowhere near as seismic as some others mentioned but the brace at Deepdale vs Preston to secure the Championship title it was so fitting it was him scoring two scruffy goals, great celebrations and sending the LCFC fanbase into raptures, it was just a perfect moment.

Will the others be more popular ones to leave

I have seen on another forum and it’s also been discussed in a WhatsApp group I am in from someone who has a decent link to club. Not that I am validating the quality of said information

There are some rumours that we we will be sold to another Thai businessman.
-
What this next appointment will show is the direction of travel for the club, hopefully we go for a Manager who is more of a Project type in the Pearson mould, but my fear is we are now in the West Brom / Norwich cycle of yo yo where each season our squad becomes poorer and full of solid journeymen with the view of either winning promotion or trying to scrape survival, rather than building a sustainable long term strategy that evolves around our academy and recruiting young hungry players with a sell on potential, but which may mean 2-3 years in the championship before it starts to flourish.
-
Are we truly owned by KP or Top? If the rumours are true that we may be ‘sold’ but only to another Thai business on the say so of the Thailand government, then perhaps KP have only ever been custodians of the club and we are therefore effectively ‘state’ owned. Given our 2nd relegation in 3 years perhaps the Thai government want a better return on their investment and have decided to move Top and Co out and bring in someone new under ‘new ownership’ to get the club moving forward again.

Is this info that you have or just an educated guess?

Thank feck for that, I would have been inconsolable if he was committed to staying but huge job on our hands to replace his work rate, endeavour, positional awareness and creativity 😂😂
-
Never fear everyone Martin cockshaw of X fame has said it will be Cifuentues from QPR 😂😂
-
I have a horrible feeling it will be Dyche and his friendship with Rudkin gives the owner the ideal opportunity to spin a yarn that Rudders was integral in attracting the new man and the status quo can continue even longer.

Rumours Leeds are potentially looking to replace Farke, would prefer him to Russell Martin I think.

Ruud van Nistelrooy - New Manager - Official
Claudio Fannieri replied to moore_94's topic in Leicester City Forum
Alex Crook has just been on Talksport and his understanding after speaking with Ruud on Sunday he will be leaving. -
If Carsley was to come in, would the club be breve and use that as a catalyst to bring in a new DoF and move Rudders sideways. I wouldn’t necessarily want Southgate as manager but I think he would be an excellent DoF, very polished, well respected, great contacts and very much one to drive the future strategy around harnessing the academy. Carsley as head coach with maybe Steve Holland as an experienced Assistant Manager would then make a bit of sense and actually be a coherent plan.

Ruud van Nistelrooy - New Manager - Official
Claudio Fannieri replied to moore_94's topic in Leicester City Forum
Quite possibly equal with Blackburn Rovers -
Plus pre Enzo, it was only Rodgers who was alleging he had been given false assurances over transfer funds, so was always open for debate, since then you can add Enzo and Ruud to the list, it isn’t a good look and will definitely mean certain managers may well be put off and we may not be seen as that attractive a proposition.

We were in League One once remember …..
-
So highly likely Mavs and Kasey will miss the Wolves game given they are also 1st team players. has the training schedule changed for a specific reason such as an impending change of manager perhaps 🤔

Wolves (a) Pre - Match - Sat 26 April @ 3.00pm
Claudio Fannieri replied to davieG's topic in Leicester City Forum
I would also include Aluko and Joseph on the bench as well -
Ruud van Nistelrooy - New Manager - Official
Claudio Fannieri replied to moore_94's topic in Leicester City Forum
More and more starting to leak to mainstream media that a parting of the ways is inevitable, suggests to me talks are already happening to agree his pay off and terms of his departure, I really wouldn’t be shocked if announcement isn’t made either later today or tomorrow.
