The 9 nil away record is under threat boys

Manifesting a Steve Bruce masterclass for this evening, a lengthy Fernandes ban for violent conduct and a Harry Maguire own goal
-
I hope our inability to put it to bed first half doesn't come back to bite us on Thursday but all round a very decent 3 points

One of the best parts of this season is how (almost) every time we've had injury problems the squad players have stepped up and been brilliant. Thomas really having a great game today -
Shame it's not us but absolutely loving hearing real fans reacting in real time for once. Can't wait to hear them choke when we score
-
I know we've known how incredible Wilf is for some time now but it really is amazing that we just casually replaced Kante. We really do find the gems out there

Incredible collapse from Liverpool. The difference in their passing before and after our first goal was unbelievable -

Ndidi doing his thing and keeping us in this. Feel ****ing sick with nerves but as one way as this has been we're definitely still dangerous. Feels a bit like the first half against man city maybe I hope please -
Yeah absolutely not. Across all sectors of public life Britain has a long proud history of "independent regulators" actually just being the best mates of the people they're supposed to be overseeing. Not for a second would I expect the football elites to willingly submit to anything approaching actual oversight

They should consider VAR a different job from the rest of the officiating positions and stop just rotating the existing refs there. It just creates a closed shop culture where they are encouraged to look after their colleagues. Train a bunch of people whose sole responsibility is VAR, have them do only that, and make them distinct from the other refs. It should be like an independent ombudsmen, not another arm of the refereeing team.

Would you want a player like Diego Costa at Leicester?
what? replied to Captain...'s topic in Transfer Talk
Haven't really been paying attention to his career lately but I imagine that he wasn't exactly helped by the introduction of VAR. Half his game was throwing sly elbows. He'll probably be dreadful with the video ref keeping him honest -
We're gonna win something this year

Nice to see us reacting to a poor first half. Wasn't so long ago we seemed incapable of that -
Leicester 2 - 0 Chelsea Post Match Thread

Not been paying much attention to Chelsea this season. Didn't quite realise how bad they are. Like outrageously shit for a team costing that much -
Triple captain on Maddison turning out alright
-
How come the whole only raising the flag for offside when it's bleeding obvious goes out the window when we're playing a team expected to finish beneath us? Quite a few very marginal offsides on Vardy got called immediately today, whereas whenever we play one of the big boys it feels like they let everything go and let var sort it out afterwards.

Probably a good time to rehighlight this article that goes into a lot of the possible outcomes of Trump contesting the result. Unfortunately, it's way more complicated than the Supreme Court just deciding on any uncertainty. There's even one scenario where three people (Pelosi being the third) end up with legitimate claims to the presidency. The whole system just has never really been tested in this way before. The best hope was a Biden landslide that was beyond contestation but that hasn't happened. **** knows what will happen now tbh
-
The question could well be less 'can Biden win?' and more 'what happens when trump refuses to accept the results?' There was a very detailed/terrifying long read in The Atlantic going over this possibility. I think it should be free to read to most. Turns out the system really isn't built to counter the possibility of a sitting president refusing to concede. https://www.theatlantic.com/magazine/archive/2020/11/what-if-trump-refuses-concede/616424/ edit: I just reread the whole thing again from when it was first published a few weeks ago Oof, really worth a read if you have the time. Some extremely scary shit could go down between election and inauguration days.

Maybe this is the gameplan for Vardy's long slow retirement. Just keep bringing him on later and later until his legs finally give out aged 48
-
We are ****ing relentless. When the champions league and club world cup really get going and things start to pile up for Liverpool and Man City who knows what could happen
-
I could see this being something bonkers like 4-3
-
****ing weird to genuinely feel like it's just Liverpool and Man City that are definitely better than us. We're ahead or equal to all the rest
-
ok I know it's a 10 man Newcastle and we're 4 nil up and I've had a few but it's actually just Liverpool and Man City that are better than us right?
-
That is an amazing read, man they are really bleak. Feels weird but very satisfying to inspire that

Shame the international break isn't a week later. We're getting some momentum going, you'd back up to beat Man U atm
